When we got home, Maralin’s body-hugging me is what welcomed me the moment I opened the door. Thalia noticed I brought someone with me so she gave me a knowing look. 


“That’s my friend, Thalia and this is my daughter, Maralin. Girls, this is Jeremy.” 


“Nice to meet you!” Thalia said as she went towards us so she can shake Jeremy’s hand. 


“Jeremy? Is he mama’s friend?” Maralin asked as she stay a few meters away from Jeremy. 


I kneel to level my head onto hers and spoke. “Yes, baby. He’s a friend of mama’s.” 


After looking at me, Maralin walk closer to him and offered her hand to him. “Nice to meet you, Maralin.” 


Maralin shyly nodded her head before walking back towards me and hiding her face. “Sorry, she’s a bit shy.” 


Jeremy smiled warmly after switching his gaze from me to Maralin. "It's alright, I hope we could be friends.”
