Chapter 46 - Lowered Inhibitions

When night falls, I couldn’t bring myself to sleep yet again.

I didn’t know why but I just want to be out there in the cold.

My heart kept racing. I feel cooped up.

I don’t normally complain or whine about staying in a room but somehow being with Jeremy makes me feel different.

I get up and carefully try to not make noises as I put some more layers on and go outside. As I open the door, I was about to step out when I was swept off of my feet.

In a flash, I’m carried by Jeremy who is grinning from ear to ear.

My eyes widen both from the shock of him carrying me all of a sudden and from the proximity that I can feel my cheeks suddenly burning despite the cold air from the outside.

“A-are you a cat or something?!” I said still trying to blink away the shock from my eyes.

“Maybe. That surprised you?” He responded as he wiggles his eyebrows playfully at me.

“Obviously!”

He chuckled before looking away. “So where to, my lady?”
