5. Oscar

School was over and I was forever grateful. I hate today because of the set of people I met, not because they are bad but they are too good for me to hurt when I'm gone. They are fun to be with but when I'm gone, all they'll thinking of is me and then they'll start reminiscing about me instead of living their lives the way they are supposed to. I don't want anybody to miss me. Just my family is too much and I don't want to add friends from school. To think I planned on staying invincible today. That dumb Jessica had to introduce me to get friends now they want the to hang. Can't do that.

"Mom, I'm home." I called when I entered the house. No one answered. Strange. Mom is always home. I went to the kitchen, dropping my bag on the couch. I saw no one. I checked everywhere but saw no one. Now I'm worried. I went back downstairs to get my phone.

"Hello."

I jumped. I looked at the person who had spoken. It was a guy. A strange guy. Oh my God what if he's a serial killer.

"Who are you?" I asked, using my eyes to look for a weapon I can use on him.

"You know me not?" The dude asked, with a very funny accent and wrong grammar.

"Of course I know you not." I spat.

"But we family in a very long way." He said. Who the fuck is this guy with the weird grammar and accent.

"I do Not know you." I said firmly. Maybe he'll get the hint to fuck off. "You got the wrong house dude. Now. Get. Out." I said through gritted teeth.

"But me know your momma is Selena Pierce. She own name was Hera. I Oscar." I think I'm gonna become dumb if this guy keeps on talking. What name?

"I don't care what you name is. If you don't leave this house, I'll call the cops." I threatened. The guy looked pale. At least he understands what a cop is.

"I go now. I go to wait for your momma in the curb."

"Don't even think of staying out there, go away from here. Far, far, far away here. Get it." The guy nodded his head and left. What a weirdo. I took my bag and went upstairs to my room.

"Michael Phoenix Pierce!" Oh no. What have I done. I ran downstairs to the kitchen.

"Hey Mom." I greeted.

"Don't, 'hey mom' me. Why did you do it." That's when I saw the crazy guy.

"Mom, stay back. That dude is crazy." I said, making my mom gasp.

"Michael Phoenix Pierce. You will take back what you said about your cousin right this instant." Mom warned. Wait cousin? The crazy dude is my cousin? No way.

"Mom, you kidding, right?" I laughed but stopped when I saw that she wasn't laughing with me.

"Mom, you can't be serious. He can't even speak proper English ."

"That's because he can't. He's Irish."

"How do I have an Irish cousin?" I groaned.

"Your dad's younger sister, Fiona."

"She's the one who married the Irish billionaire?"

"Yes."

"So I don't understand why he's here." Mom sighed. She told The guy to leave

"Well, his dad has been complaining about him being an......introvert." she explained. I was confused. What's so wrong with being an introvert? I guess mom could see the questioning look so she continued. "He's father doesn't like it. He claimed that it was his fault that his son became like that. Always looking him for fear that he might be kidnapped. And now, it's already a part of him. He also complained that the only time his active is when he's playing video games. Which is so bad. His social life is just.......zero."

"So what do they want from us?"

"He's dad said America will be a nice place for him to live. He could make new friends, join a club and do other fun stuff any teenager would do."

"Not with that Grammer he would." I mumbled. My mom shot me a look. "And besides, why us? Don't they have any other relatives aside from us?"

"Don't be like that. She's your dad's younger sister and they only have each other." Mom said.

"Ok then, what about the man. He should have relatives. Why not send him to one of them. I don't need more people in the house here. It's getting crowded."

"Michael!!" Mom warned. I groaned. "Don't be such a spoilt brat. He wants what is best for his son. Allow him ok. He's already feeling guilty for keeping his son indoors and practically ruining his life so allow him to do what he can for the boy." I rolled my eyes. "Fine." She nodded.

"And be nice." I took a sip of the apple juice I had taken form the fridge, then looked at her.

"I make no promises mother." I said and she sighed. I knew she was getting tired of answering. Then it was as if something had clicked in her mind. "And you also have to apologize for the way you treated him." I looked at her.

"That mother, is something I can't do." She eyed me, "why would I apologize. I thought I saw a thief in my house. He's supposed to be thankful I didn't use any weapon on him." I mumbled

"Well that doesn't count."

"Yes. Yes it does. How did he even get our house key anyways?" I had to ask because that's was so not cool.

"I told him where the keys were." She said. I made an 'o' shape with my mouth to show that I understood. " Well now that that is settled, I'm up in my room."

"No, you have to show him round the neighborhood." I shook my head at this.

"I'm already making a promise to be nice. I can't do more than that mom."

"Ok, since you don't want to take him round, clean the guest room."

"Bye mom. Yo Oscar." I called walking out of the kitchen. I heard her laughing. I smiled. I love it when she smiles.

The walk was nice. Oscar was actually a nice and funny person. Although he really looked familiar now that I think of it. But still it was nice. He's accent was just so funny.

Maybe this guy would actually be able to make friends.
