School was the way it was yesterday. Quiet. Which meant I was late for school. Again. I really don't care. I'm new here so I could easily say I lost my way. I looked at my timetable and saw I was having English. I located my English class and entered. Fortunately, the teacher wasn't in class. I went to my seat and sat down. Jessica was there.
"Hey you." She greeted.
Great. Now I have her in English too. Another time with miss. Crazy. Just wonderful
"What do you want?"
"What's it with you?"
"Do you always answer a question with an answer?"
"Wasn't that what you just did?"
"I give up." I said. I wasn't in the mood to entertain this girl's craziness. Quickly, I pulled out my headphones from my bag and put it on my head and played my music. After sometime, I felt a tap.on my shoulders.
"What do you want?"
"That's the second time you've asked me that."
"Ohhhh God." I groaned. She giggled. What's wrong with this girl.
Maybe if I hit her head on the table, no one will mind. After all, she's crazy so they might just think she did it to her self.
"Ok, let's just answer one of our questions each." She suggested. Seriously, why does she want to talk to me?. "So what was your first question?"
"I don't remember."
"You have to be joking."
"Buy I'm not."
"That a lie."
Where the hell is the god damn teacher?!!
"I don't lie. I really don't remember."
"That's another lie cuz everybody lies," I rolled my eyes at that." Secondly, you can't say you forgot, that was like a few minutes aga, or let's say you've got some disease or something. Or is it amnesia." I tensed at the word disease. Soon everything came rushing back, that day at the hospital, two months at home waiting to die. I couldn't handle it so I left and at that moment, the teacher came in. Still, I couldn't stay so I left the classroom.

It was lunch time. I had avoided anything that will make me see Jessica. I really don't want to see any of them. Life was going ohk till I saw C.N.
"Dude." He said. I think it was some sort of greeting so in just nodded my head.
"Have you seen Jess?"
Why the hell is he asking me?
"No, the last time I saw her was in English class." I said.
"Oh, she has been looking for you every where.? Said she made you so mad that you had leave the class even when Mrs. Dupont came to class." He explained. Mrs. Dupont?.... Must be the English teacher.
"Nah, it's no big deal. I wasn't just in the mood to talk and she. Wanted to. So I left."
"Well, she's here so you can just tell her." Great. I turned around and saw Jessica and Damien coming towards us. "Damien went to give C.N a bro hug while Jessica stood in front of me looking like a puppy who was trying to beg his master for a bone.
"Hi Jess. Look, I'm not angry with you ok. I just decided to leave the class because I wasn't in the mood to talk and you were ready to talk and I didn't want to ruin your mood with my sour one." I said before she could say anything. I wasn't ready for a long talk.
"Really." She asked, looking really hopeful. I just gave her a quick nod, hoping she would drop it, but it made her squeal and started jumping up and down before crashing into me to give me a hug. This is strange. When she let go, she went to her locker and took some stuff before she turned and walked away, leaving us behind. Then I heard C.N speak. "Dude, you have the weirdest girlfriend." He chuckled.
Tell me about it.
"I know." Damien sighed before adding, "that's why I love her."
Gross, I can't even believe he said that.
I just laughed along with C.N when he was laughing.

The cafeteria was noisy as always. Students moving here and there. I still haven't gotten used to the fact that the cafeteria is more like a restaurant than a normal school cafeteria. At my old school, we usually follow the food table everyday. I don't even remember what we had for lunch since it's been long I went to school. But here, I see people eating different kind of food and junk food . It's actually nice though. They took the table they took yesterday and sat down. Sighing internally, I sat with them. I wasn't ready to start explaining to them why I can't sit with them. After a while, a group of Junior years' came over with foods. A lot of food.
"Thanks Tommy." C.N said. A little blonde stepped forward and smiled. C.N took out some cash and gave it to Tommy. "Share it equally." He said , making the group of boys to smile once they were able to see the amount of money C.N had given them. When they left, I looked at the food on the table. It was enough to feed twenty people tops. Different kind of food was on the table. From healthy down to junk. I was wondering how they would finish everything. Me, not wanting to watch them eat while I starve stood up to get my food.
"Where you going?" Jessica asked. I sighed internally. Why does she have to be so poke nose-ish. "I'm going to get food." They all had a confused look on their face which made me sigh. "I wasn't able to get my food on the way here and since I didn't know when u told someone to get yours, I have to get my food to eat." I explained. I was as if I was talking to a bunch of five year olds.
"You don't need to worry about that. Cyan took care of it." She said, pointing to the food on the table. Ok, that's new. I sat down. "So how much do I give you for this?" To any normal person this would be like a normal question. But I guess these group aren't normal because they started laughing.
"So..sorry.... sorry dude" Jessica said in between laughs, "I knew you are new here but it sounds strange. Cyan usually buys the food." Oh, still another new thing. "Ok then. How much do I pay?"
"Dude, you don't pay. I do the paying." CN said. "We all know you can pay for your food since you are in this school," I tensed up at that, "but no need. That's my job." He said. I was about to say something but Jessica seemed to notice and before I could say anything, she said"I know you are new here to all this but you are now a part of this group so we have to treat you like one." Then she flashed me a smile that was supposed to be charming. But still, all this was a shocker.
How could they be so welcoming and trusting. I could be a serial killer pretending not to know them in order for them to know and trust me before killing them.
I know, I know, serial killing, not my strong fort, but still.
And the funny thing is, this bunch of weirdos are starting to melt the ice I had caged my heart in. Soon the others came and they talked and I listened. And for the first time in two months, I smiled.
