Dissenting voices

The occasion of queen Nina's coronation was easily the third most historic event on Plaska. It was only superceded in the fast changing political landscape of the planet by only two earlier events, the first which had threatened to rewrite the planet's history with tragic consequences, when the thudrasian juggernaut invaded from outer space sweeping aside the plaskarites feeble attempts at resistance. The second which followed hot on the heels of that fatal first contact was the robust response from earth, which dealt a decisive blow to the invading alien hordes imperial ambitions.

In the aftermath of the extraterrestrial storm it was finally time to pick up the pieces and reorganize their traumatized society.

On a sunny day, excited crowds gathered outside the gardens of the heavily guarded people's palace, watching the proceedings taking place inside on giant monitors positioned outside.
