Associating with the wolves

Sheila looks up at her son and her smile broadens. He reminded her a lot of little Amelia, always throwing tantrums and wanting her attention.

"I'm not only taking Care of your aunt, did you forget? I'm also feeding your sweet, little sister that you've come to adore so much. Hmm?"

Jaxon squints his eyes at her. Was she tricking him?

"That's an excuse, she's feeding me!" Amelia whispers to the little boy, an attempt to rile him up.

Sheila nudges her sister. "Don't listen to that munchkin. I promise we'll go get you filled up once I'm done with your aunt and little baby,OK? We need your sister healthy that's why we're making sure your aunt here eats and gets enough rest. Is that fine?"

"Hmmmmph" he huffs looking away from them.

Emerson walks in to this sight and his brow scrunches.

"What'd these ladies do to you again? I seem to find them always bullying you."

"Yes alp...uncle!"

"Uncle...we'll do Alpha when in front of pack. Come, let's go have lunch." Emerson's hands stretch towards him.

Jaxon hurriedly jumps off the bed and takes his uncle's hands like a second more and the offer might expire.

Emerson offers a smile seeing this. Such a cute one! He looks to the ladies, nods to Sheila and winks at his mate.

Both ladies had a smile etched on their faces as they watched them leave.

Amelia sneaks a peek at her sister seeing her smile but there was something...something was amiss but she just couldn't point a finger at it.

Everyone's been subtle, "hey, what's wrong? You've been awfully quiet" Amelia's eyes held warmth.

Sheila pats her hair. Her younger sister was going to be a mother and she was worried she'd never learn to treat her like one. It was funny how normal it felt still treating her this way. She was so young when things fell out of place for the ability users and no matter how much she'd tried to keep her away from the troubles, Amelia always wanted to be a part of every thing as long as she was involved.

"No worries. I'm just fascinated at how fast things have turned." She gives out a small laugh.

Amelia's eyes twinkle in delight, a beautiful smile adorning her face. "We should be happy, everything's going well and Jaxon, he's going to be the best alpha this pack has ever known, look on the brighter side sister. How's the preparation for tomorrow coming up?"

"Ha well..." She sighs out the worries. "You know how sudden it came so every serf is putting in a lot of effort to make the place all ready for tomorrow."

"What about our people? Any complains?"

"No, everyone is associating with the wolves, a few of them are helping out, the kids are playing with the other pups, so its all good." Her eyes dart a little.

She'd just lied.
