Tense atmosphere

"There's gonna be a full moon tomorrow." Donald's voice had melancholy coated in it.

"Hmm....." Emerson swallows. "You sound like you're gonna cry about it." Emerson teased with his lips stretching, putting food into his mouth.

"Uncle, you seem to love teasing my father." Jaxon was seated beside his father. It was a small round table strictly for the family.

"Well, your dad had his fun too when we were much younger, he teased and bullied me a lot but now....." Emerson lifts his chest up smiling brightly. "I'm the one leading in that aspect."

Donald had a scowl on his face, "enjoy it while it lasts." He says bitterly and Emerson laughs out.

"Look Emer, there's a pending discussion that we need to have which you've been clearly evading." Donald looked serious and Emerson stops.

"I told you if it involves witches,I don't want to get I....."

"What if I told you, this is about the prophecy Deirdre said to us. The wolves are included if you don't think it should bother you." He pauses, "Emer, did you listen to that prophecy? People are gonna die, a sacrifice is to be made..."

"But....." Donald raises his hands to stop Emerson from speaking and then he continues,

"That prophecy didn't say who was going to die,it might be werewolves, the witches, the vampires, demons or the ability users, no body knows and I've been trying to tell you in Sheila's visions, you were the center of it all a...

"Wait - what? Me?" Disbelief wash over Emerson's face and his frown deepens when Donald nods. "Could you enlighten me and stop....." He looked like he wanted to say something but stopped himself facing the little boy with curious eyes.

"Hmm, why the tense atmosphere?" Sheila walks in on them. "Munchkin, done with your lunch?" She asks and Jaxon nods, standing up even like he wanted to escape from there. This had Sheila's brow knotted.

"Jax, what do you say about practicing more of your shifting?" Donald ask and Jaxon nods with a smile. "That would be our little hubby, let's go." He too stands up.

"What about our talk?" Emerson asks seeing as Donald was really walking out.

"Ha! I'm sure gonna enjoy as you chomp on the bit like I have these past few days." He winks at Emerson and walks out, his wife and son in tow.
