We are stronger

...Few minutes later

The vampire Lords, except Quinn who'd walked out after the king, stood in a circle.

"You see what I'm telling you all?" Thornhill spat with scorn. "He's weak and not fit to be our king! I mean what do you expect!? Unlike us who have trained and gotten in sync with being vampires, He's still a newbie. I just can't understand why HE was chosen" He stared into the eyes of the others and then continued,

"If we all have abilities,we could go back to how we were, we could have our freedom again, we could finally have more vampires! Don't you see, he's turning us into those f**king humans that's why those mutts could think of having a war on Belteram. This is the time to make things right!"

"But... Its been for a good reason, hasn't it?" Mikael Mushki asks. "There's been peace within the whole settlement, if that's what living as humans is, then I think we stick with that! We can't lose anymore and the king is right, we all should mourn Lucinda, its the least we can offer."

Thornhill growls lowly. What was it with people and ruining his plans. "We. Are. Vampires! We are predators! Why do we have to hide from our food, Its supposed to be the other way around!" He was definitely vexed and with that intensity boiling within him, he threw a punch to Mikael's chest, just few inches above his heart.

The sheer force of that punch sent Mikael skittering across the grounds. As the dust settles, he coughs out blood with his nose bleeding.

What the hell? The other two turn to Thornhill.

"That's the difference between animal blood and fresh human blood, we are stronger! And if you want to be the same, you'll join me!" And with that Thornhill turns around, the hem of his robe dancing rhythmically to the gentle breeze.

Gavin and Lucas had their mouths opened in total shock, they couldn't believe it. Mikael was usually the strongest amongst them and now...

Gavin turns his head in the direction Thornhill had taken and in that moment he made up his mind, he followed him immediately. He didn't want to be on the losing side.

Troy seeing this, shooks his head and walks to help Mikael. Going against the king was wrong but if they were going to go against the demons, they needed more power, his castle and people needed more power! And that left him at a cross road, he didn't know what side to be on.
