Choice

"Belteram?" Quinn had his brows raised at Thornhill. He and Thornhill have never been on the same page. Sometimes it felt like they were competing on who was better, on who brought more to the table, but this?...

"Thornhill? Did you get the right information? Belteram is a war ground, no matter what internal disagreement any specie has, stepping on those grounds simply calls for the next specie war. Are you sure this is not a trap?" Zach was suddenly skeptical about all of this.

"My king! The werewolves are responsible for that! They've been nothing but too full of themselves lately, they're risking a specie war and using this as an opportunity to have the ability users is just to add one more trick up our sleeves when we go against the demons."

"That's why WE have powers!" Quinn was quick to interject.

"What about the others? As Lords we have abilities but what about the others, the demons could easily dispose of them and then there'll be no one to be Lord over." Thornhill argued.

"Both of you... Enough!" Zach said rather calmly and a pin drop could be heard. "Belteram is nothing but a war zone, anyone going there is looking for war and we are by numbers, not prepared, we can't lose more vampires, its been hard trying to produce one or even turn one, so we'll not waste resources or our people, we'll not make it necessary to go on Belteram." Thornhill shut his eyes in rage.

"I'll give each of you a choice, if you think going in-between a war with the werewolves is right to defeat the demons, then go to your different divisions and prepare your army or we could all just prepare ourselves for the demons without the ability stones. Like I said... Your choice!"

Each of the lords turned to look at each other. What was going on?

"Why? My daughter is dead! And I've not even had the time to mourn her, nobody even thinks of it, you want power? Go get it but no body destroys the peace the vampires have had. I'll burn you myself." Zach's red eyes blazed. His sudden gravelly voice sends chill down their spines.

"In two hours, I would like to know those going for this war, if you'll need back up, you know what to do." And with that, he stands up and quietly leaves with the eyes of the lords trailing him.

Thornhill glared at Quinn, this was all his doing always trying to be so goody-goody and that was the exact opposite of vampires. He was going to make it right!

As if on cue, Quinn turns to him and smiles. Quinn knew, he knew Thornhill wasn't just chasing after ability stones. No, it was something more... and dangerous.
