"Fifteen days…"

Long Tian looked at the valley before him. It was wide and sunken, holding quite a few trees and a great vitality as many fauna sprouted here.

From high up on a ledge, looking down at the valley that was sunk by over 100 feet, Long Tian could see many creatures in the distance.

Wolves traveling in packs, creatures swinging on trees, some weird fish man swimming in the lakes… various types of creatures were all thriving within this sunken valley.

Seeing this place, Long Tian recalled his map. The name that this place was given by the person who discovered this place was, Lower Valley.

He came from a shelter named Fog Shelter.

Fog Shelter was located at the foot of a mountain, where high at its peak was filled with sacred-blood creatures. They all lived in a flat snowy valley at its peak. Levelled through sheer strength from the creatures themselves.

This valley was called Upper Valley.

Entering Lower Valley, Long Tian and Shadow began exploring this place.

The final exploration before returning to Steel Armor Shelter. Would he end up finding a sacred-blood creature here?

So far he had no luck in finding one this entire time.

Within Lower Valley, Long Tian was seeing many ordinary and primitive creatures. He ignored them after killing a primitive creature and eating it, finally bringing his primitive geno points to 100.

Shadow ate along with him, and soon, both continued walking. It followed behind Long Tian, watching as he pulled out a notebook filled with notes of locations, creatures, and the terrain.

It wasn't for himself, but for Qin Xuan.

For his mission of locating mutant creatures and any sacred-blood creatures.

He walked further deep into Lower Valley, recording even the ordinary and primitive creatures. Although not in detail compared to the mutant creatures he was eyeing.

There were many, but he took his time recording them into the notebook.

Sketches of their appearances, explanations of their habits… he took note of what he could. Xingyiquan helped him discover most of these facts, gradually attaining a deep comprehension of many beasts and their instincts.

The notebook was gradually filled, over ten more types of mutant creatures had been noted down. But as he continued to write and discover mutant creatures, Long Tian began to feel that something was off.

There were too many mutant creatures… it astounded Long Tian. In just a couple of meters apart from each other, a new mutant creature would appear constantly.

"An ape this time…" muttered Long Tian as he looked at the creature before him.

It was sitting on the floor, leaning against a tree. Chewing and looking around quietly.

Looking at his waist, Long Tian paid attention to his lack of food. He needed to continue searching, but he needed food to do so. Looking at the mutant creature ape, Long Tian moved.

Jumping out of the shadows and making his presence known, Long Tian challenged the ape.

Ough!

The ape snarled and jumped up to its feet as soon as it noticed Long Tian. It's arms moved and it tossed the leaves it was munching on to the side.

"Let's send you off peacefully," Long Tian said, using the Snake Style of Xingyiquan.

Lowering his body and making his movements fluidly, Long Tian moved forward. Like a snake slithering forward, he moved to the ape.

It grunted and smashed down at his with its long and heavy arms.

Bang!

It's hands missed and hit the floor, Long Tian slid to the side and narrowly dodged the attack. His hands moved and latched onto the ape's hands before his body followed.

Like a snake, his slid onto the ape's body and began to constrict its movements with his body.

"OUGH!"

The ape panicked and struggled to move its limbs.

Gritting his teeth, Long Tian clenched his hands and tightened his body, not letting the ape free. Its strength was greater than his, even with his improved fitness, he can't compare to a beast whose size is not just larger but their raw strength is greater.

Moving to its back, Long Tian grabbed the ape's two arms and held them behind its back.

"Huff!"

The ape let out a breath of anger and stomped the floor in anger. "OOUGH!"

Stomping back, making lots of noise as it struggled about and grunted, the ape crashed into its tree.

Bang!

Feeling the pain on his back, Long Tian constricted his body and brought greater pain to the ape. As he continued to constrict, the ape roared until a loud snap was heard.

Snap!

Long Tian jumped away and he watched as the ape's arms fell to the side uselessly.

Chuckling, Long Tian moved once more.

The lethality of the ape fell and Long Tian was able to be more direct with it. His style changed, from a snake to bear.

Hou!

Letting out a deep grunt from the back of his throat, Long Tian moved. Stomping forward and hitting the ape with his shoulder.

Bang!

The ape stumbled back, losing its balance and falling to the floor.

Followed by its fall, Long Tian jumped up into the air. With his fitness and Xingyiquan, Long Tian managed to jump a whole meter into the air. He spun and turned his body as he swung his foot down with great force.

Komodo Dragon - Tail Whip!

With great momentum and force built up, Long Tian focused all his strength on his heels. The ape looked up in anger and opened its mouth, ready to bite the human's foot.

But it had greatly miscalculated the force behind the falling heel. It fell straight to its neck and landed on its tough muscle and bones before—

Crack!

The head fell limp and the eyes dimmed as it died.

"Mutant Black-Back Ape killed. No beast soul gained. Eat its flesh to gain 0 to 10 mutant geno points randomly."

"Hmph… looks like my skill is improving greatly," muttered Long Tian as he heard the familiar voice at the back of his head.

Although he did dislike having to jump between the different styles, the moves themselves proved useful. Making a mental note to find a better martial art, Long Tian called over Shadow.

Shadow moved, but it abruptly stopped and let out a meek cry before hiding in the shadows once more.

Meow… (Danger…)

Long Tian frowned and jumped when he felt the air behind him change.

Bang!

The ground where he once stood at had been completely rearranged by a powerful force. Dirt and rocks flew to the air and next to the dead black-back ape stood a bigger ape.

Its entire body was pitch black and it growled at Long Tian menacingly. It revealed its large canines and flexed its massive arms.

Ough!

Long Tian grit his teeth and instantly summoned his bloody slayer beast soul without hesitating. His body transformed and he became an ox-headed centaur.

The might brimming within him was greater than before, a result of his increased fitness.

Bang!

Crashing against each other and bouncing away, both figures stared at each other. Their muscles twitched and ran once more.

BANG!

The crashed, but this time both didn't bounce back as they held onto each other. Like beasts, they fought against each other and let their fists hit each other.

Long Tian parried the attacks he could and dodged the ones he knew he couldn't withstand. He was lasting, but it won't be long before he turns back into his human form.

The damage he dealt the sacred-blood ape was minimal. Only a show of how strong a sacred-blood creature is!

Long Tian grunted.

MOO!

Pushing forward, he brought down his elbows on the ape's shoulders. Before hitting the ape's head with his own cow head.

Pa!

Their heads clashed and the ape stumbled back while Long Tian stayed his ground. His head throbbed, but as the ran, he felt his pain disappear.

And his body cool.

"Pugh!"

The ape stumbled and took a moment to regain its senses. It shook its head and glared at Long Tian.

Banging its chest wildly like a gorilla, the ape stomped forward, the floor shaking at his step.

At least Long Tian thought, until he realized that the shaking was growing more violent. It was lasting a long while, and the ape seemed to be affected.

It took a step back, and Long Tian could see fear on its face. He saw as it took steps back and its eyes unfocused. Turning around, it jumped onto a tree before swinging away into the distance.

"Damn…"

Long Tian gritted his teeth and his body shrunk and changed, returning to his normal self.

He could feel his muscles aching from almost reaching the time limit of his shapeshifting. His breathing was labored and it took him a couple of seconds to relax.

As Long Tian took time to recover, the earthquake soon stopped.

Releasing a sigh of relief, Long Tian was glad to see that nothing terrifying had occurred. To scare a sacred-blood creature, the ground must be unstable here in the Lower Valley. A mere earthquake could devastate the entirety of the Lower Valley.

It could be the reason this valley had sunken so much.

Long Tian used his , allowing its power to release a cooling energy through his body. It soothed his aching muscles and fatigue.

Shadow stepped out cautiously from the shadows, approaching Long Tian. It came close to Long Tian and looked at him before turning its gaze to the mutant Black-back ape corpse.

It dragged it over to Long Tian and placed it before him.

Meooww. (Food. Leader.)

Shadow lowered its body and looked at him. It was looking at Long Tian as if it was his follower.

After witnessing Long Tian's fight against a sacred-blood creature, Shadow realized that Long Tian had a greater strength compared to it. It could only lower its head to the stronger being.

Hm.

Long Tian grunted and took the hunting knife from Shadow. He skinned the ape, cut it into portions, and deboned it.

As he did so, Shadow had already gathered some decent firewood.

Hours later, the food was completed and both were chowing through the meat. Long Tian ate more relaxed this time around, not training and only running and letting his body heal and rest.

Sighing, Long Tian realized that he really needed Hyper Geno Arts. A martial technique that can really deal killing blows or enhance his strength even further, either permanently or temporarily.

Why?

Because he was already looking forward to jumping levels in fighting. His martial arts was already able to fend off a sacred-blood creature despite his weaker fitness.

Even if he used a shapeshifting sacred-blood beast soul, it was good enough at his level.

After an entire day of rest, Long Tian resumed his exploration.
