"There were some big-headed black monsters, taller than two people, floating out from the cave."
Hearing Lily reveal this information, the word "indigenous" immediately flashed through Charles's mind.
He hadn't expected that there was space underground on this island and that indigenous inhabitants lived there.
After listening to the mice squeak a few times, Lily turned back and continued to translate, "Those pirates threw a lot of fish into that cave, and then those floating black monsters chased this thing out of the cave."
With that, Lily pointed to the soft black sphere in Charles's hands.
"These things were piled up inside, a lot, lots and lots, as much as several ships' worth; then some people in torn clothes moved these things onto the carts for transport, those in tattered clothes must be slaves."
Charles looked at the black and blue living thing in his hands with puzzlement—could this be the fuel that the pirates traded with the indigenous people?
