First step

After almost a week, the beast had been lured.

The alpha that was his target was a giant anaconda.

He had already monitored its behaviour for some time now. Using that he had begun hunting this side of the land for all its animals as silently and secretly as possible.

If the anaconda had been the only target he would have already launched an ambushed at it.

But he had bigger plans for which he had to get the snake to leave its nest.

The roars never stopped, in fact there was an additional screeching roar added in the mixture.

His big size eluded his speed. He was like fish to water in the jungle, fast and silent, getting ever closer to the source of the roars.

Reaching near the conflict, he hid himself and then peered in, to see the state of his targets.

A giant t-rex like Dino was in a fight with a big ass black anaconda.

Yes, he had lead anaconda with a trail he always faked to the dino territory after each hunt.

He first had actually thought to lure the dino to the snakes nest, as he was easy to provoke. but this giant dumb beast didn't have any semblance of a schedule.

He would hunt any time of the day, walk around all day just flaunting its presence. Sometimes it would also pull all nighters.

I mean why, not like he is preparing for IAS exams.

It was just not easy to stay in its territory and hunt silently.

And to add on that the beast surprisingly was very quite on its feet, and fast.

It was an assassin with a damage dealer build.

Anaconda though was neat and a clean animal.

He had seen it hunt. It was like a fancy wine and dine compared to other predators in the wild.

It had even made him a little self conscious.

Its initial jump was lighting fast, then as the prey is trapped. It takes its own slow sweet time.

Suffocating the prey leading it slowly inside his stomach, it would not leave any waste bits and leave the place clean.

-

Lucian was looking at the predators fight.

*TAHD*

'UHH, that was close.'

Dino had almost bit the neck of anaconda. But the slippery snake evaded it by curving its body.

It showed off the wonderful flexibility of its body.

It then dove down at lightning speed, between the dino's legs and came out from the back. Further leaping it aimed at the dino's neck.

'Damn, anaconda might have just won.'

Though the fight showed that anaconda had the upper hand, his experience in the wild had him know better.

Initially the fight had started near a lot of trees and boulders but as it continued they had reached a clearing.

The area around the snake's territory was packed with trees which gave it a very good advantage in a fight. It was also one of the reasons he chose to bait the anaconda to enter dino's territory.

The dino might also have tried to attack the snake ones but due to the advantage anaconda had in its territory it was able to keep the predator at bay.

While now the snake had its fangs deep into the flesh, the dino was also no slouch. After the mandatory roaring in pain he quickly reacted on his feet and rolled to its side.

Rolling on the ground once, dino reached a boulder and collided with it facing its back with anaconda still on it.

The snake too was fast, when with pain reflex its fangs came out of the dino's flesh. It quickly slid behind the boulder they had just crashed into.

'Huh, the snake be breaking stereotypes here. Where is the mandatory painful screech bruh.' Lucian thought watching the fight with his figurative popcorn's.

Back to the fight, even before dino could get on its feet, anaconda had launched itself from the top of the boulder aiming at the neck of dino.

Evading the erratic panic moments of the tiny hands of dino, it latched to its neck.

'Big mistake.' Lucian commented on anaconda's move.

When the snake was aiming to pull out dino's throat, it didn't know in how much of a danger it was in.

Till now anaconda was capitalizing on the advantage that it was fast and flexible which had him easily gain distance between itself and the other alpha.

But now it had delivered itself on a platter to the dino.

'Maybe dino is the more evolved reptile.'

Seeing the opportunity in front of him, dino clutched at the body of anaconda.

It dug its sharp claws into the flesh of the snake.

"Kreee."

'Ah, there it is.'

Dino pulled the snake down with its strength.

'Never be fooled by the small arms of the dino, bro got some gains there.'

Though it had successfully pulled anaconda down, the snake didn't come back a total loser as it had brought back some chunk of dino's throat with it.

While it still had dino's claws dug into itself, anaconda tried slithering away. But it was unsuccessful as dino put more pressure and pulled it back.

After pulling the anaconda the dino was hell bent on tearing its head off so it dove right down.

The snake who knew it was not possible to dodge, turned with determination and hate feeling the pain of twisting its body.

It raised its head to meet dino half way. The beasts had locked each others jaw.

'Woah woah, some interspecies stuff going on here. Wait they both distant reptilian cousins right?'

While Lucian was wraped in his weird musings, the beast had separated and again went to kis…no,no… butt heads; eat each other ou… urh tear each others head. They were at it for some time, going at each other with pasha… fury.

At the end though it was dino, who plunged its claws into anaconda and then seized the chance when the snake lift its head in anguish, biting into the nap of the giga snake.

The life of anaconda was practically leaving when it looked with the corner of its eye at the beast who covered in leaves and was staking at them with the stillness of a hunter.

It then knew that it was him that had landed it into this situation.

With its last breath it screeched it dying roar at it.
