(I Wanna Take) Forever Tonight

- Peter Cetera & Crystal Bernard -

======================

A man quickly got out of the car, half running towards him. "Tire problem? Did it break down?"

"Flat tire!" Ruby exclaimed because of the heavy rain. Even though her hands had covered her head, she was still soaking wet.

The man nodded. He's the mysterious guy at the cafe. Ruby had assumed the man was following her, but ... was it possible?

"Let's just take you back to your house!" shot the man loudly. When changing tires in such heavy rain, it appeared that the conditions were impossible.

"Huh?"

"Come on! Don't be in the rain for a long time! You'll be sick!"

Ruby couldn't help but be dumbfounded when the man's hand pulled her towards the man's car. "H-hey! Wait! I haven't locked my car yet!"

The man released his grip so Ruby could grab her bag and lock the car. Then the two of them got into the man's car. Ruby looked skeptical.

"What? Are you afraid of being kidnapped?" The man spoke before the car started. "Ha ha ha, don't worry. I'm not that bad. Quick, tell me your address; I'll take you home." The car's engine was started. The air heater started blowing warm air in the car.

Ruby shrugged. Maybe she was just too paranoid to think anything was wrong with the man beside her. After all, if the man had bad intentions, Ruby could stab her high heels into the man's skull.

Inevitably, Ruby mentioned the location where she lived.

On the other hand, the man tried to contact the car repair shop he subscribed to. Luckily, someone picked it up. Maybe Ruby should change her repair shop from this point on. The man asked the repair shop to take care of Ruby's car, which was left on the street.

Arriving at the singer's apartment, Ruby came down. They're in the basement park. "Sorry, your seat got wet."

"Oh, it's okay—ATCHOO!" Before he could finish his speech, the man's loud sneeze interrupted.

Ruby became even more uncomfortable on her own. The man had been bothered many times because of her. Took care of the car, wet seats, and now threatened with fever?

"Errngh ... want to come in? A cup of hot chocolate would be comfortable for you," said Ruby.

The man looked up at Ruby. "Are you sure?"

Slightly hesitant, Ruby nodded. However, the man caught the hesitation in Ruby's attitude.

"I'd better go home—ATCHOO!"

"Look, it looks like your body wants some hot chocolate, Sir." Ruby folded her arms in front of her chest and held back a laugh.

The man chuckled. "It's hard to lie, huh? Tee-hee ..."

.

.

"Just put your coat down there." Ruby pointed to the living room floor of the apartment. "I'll bring you a laundry basket later." She had already stepped into the inner room after removing her wet shoes from the living room shelf.

The man followed after putting his coat on as Ruby had told him to.

"Oh yes, what is your name, Sir?"

"Vince. But you can call me Vin."

Ruby glanced back for a moment. "Okay, Vin. You can borrow my bathroom to rinse because the guest bathroom has a broken faucet. About clothes ... I think I have a loose t-shirt. I hope you don't mind the women's style."

Vin nodded obediently. "No problem." He received a towel and a change of clothes from Ruby's hand. Then she was shown the direction of the bathroom in Ruby's private room. Apparently, the two rooms were fused.

"Take a warm bath so you don't have a fever, Vin. I'll make a warm drink for us."

"But you're wet too."

"Don't worry, I'm used to getting rained on, really! So, I'm pretty immune." Ruby walked away, leaving Vin in the room to go to the kitchen to make two hot chocolates.

After the chocolates were finished, Ruby went into another room, where the clothes from the laundry were placed before going into the closet. She quickly exchanged her wet clothes for dry ones there. Pink t-shirt top and dark red miniskirt. She wanted to find a rather long skirt, but unfortunately, it's not there. Instead of going to the room and being caught by Vin, it's better just like this.

As soon as she finished changing clothes, she carried two mugs of hot chocolate into the living room to the minibar, to be precise.

Just as she finished putting down the two mugs, Vin appeared. The towel was busy stroking his wet hair. Ruby held back a laugh, seeing her loose pink shirt on Vin's athletic body. Especially the red boxer with the butterfly print. It was the only big-size one in her closet.

"Thank goodness they both fit on you, Vin." Ruby smiled. "Come sit here. Your hot chocolate is waiting." She sat down and patted the high chair next to her.

Vin obeyed. He slung the towel over the back of another chair, while he sat down next to Ruby. "You've already changed. Don't want to take a shower?"

Ruby shook her head. "Later." Then she turned to Vince. "You ... are the ones who often come to the cafe lately days, right?"

Vince raised his eyebrows as he took a sip of the hot chocolate in his hand. "Well, it looks like I got caught. It's an honor for me to be recognized by a beautiful singer."

"You seducer," said Ruby with a crooked smile. Two hands cupped the mug and took a sip of its contents. "Ahh ... so delicious."

Vin did the same. "Hmm ... you're right. What a perfect mix."

"Perfect mix?" Ruby turned to Vin.

"Well, a good mix of flavors and atmosphere will support this drink." Vin turned back as he gave a sympathetic smile.

"I hope this perfect mix will keep you away from getting a fever," said Ruby.

Vin chuckled lightly. "Yeah. Hopefully." He took a sip of his chocolate. "Oh yeah, may I know your name?"

"Hn? My name?" Ruby raised her eyebrows.

"Yup. I'm sure Ruby isn't your real name. Right?"

The singer chuckled a little. "Too obvious, huh?"

"Nope. Just instinct."

"Your instinct is amazing."

"Also, some analysis."

"Analysis?"

"Because you always wear a red shirt every time you perform. That's why I assume it's related to Ruby's name. A stage name."

"Ha ha ha. You're smart too, Vin." Ruby got up from the mini-bar chair and walked over to the fridge to grab the shortcake she'd bought this morning.

Vin watched Ruby from behind. Even though she looked like a mature and grown woman, Ruby's appearance was very trendy, supported by a proportional body shape.

Slim hips, small solid buttocks, breasts curves were not excessive, and calves that taste tantalizing when licked. Okay, Vin was starting to get dirty mind. Very embarrassing.

Vin ruffled his wet hair. Ruby looked back as she placed the cake she had cut onto the mini-bar table.

"I hope you don't mind sweets like this, Vin." Ruby placed a piece of shortcake, which she had placed on a small plate with a fork, on the edge of the minibar table.

"Oh, you can rest easy, 'cause I'm not the kind of person to be too picky about food." Vin smiled sympathetically at the attractive woman nearby. "Especially if this sweet cake is served by a woman as attractive as you." He added it without hiding it.

Ruby chuckled softly and so charmingly, as if just her giggles were like a melodious chant in the key of Do = C major. "You really seem to have great talent as the number one wooer in this area, well! Tee-hee!"

Vince laughed shamelessly. "This special talent of mine will only appear in front of women who are also special."

Ruby's neat eyebrows were lifted.
