CHAPTER FOURTEEN.

It was already five O'clock. The moment of truth. All participants were already settled in the hall as they had been instructed earlier. Hopes,tension and expectations filled the room.

Luna exited the consultancies office and in haste and raging anger, she stormed into the hall.Everyone turned to look at her direction and all were silent.

Stares, shocked wide eyes, loud whispers and avoiding eyes were sent her way. She cared less about them. Only one thing was fixated in her unclear mind.Bitterness.

Before she was called into the offices to give out her info, she had investigated on who was the cause for Luca's impeachment. Just like she had suspected. Matilda Royal and Karen James! Matilda's mom pulled some strings through Alice William and the Samantha she so hated.

Luca warned her not to do anything stupid though he knew very well what Luna's reaction would be. Luna always acted on instinct and never ever listened to anybody who told her otherwise.

Consequences never really bothered her. One may think that she always acted on impulse with how she handled things, but truth of the matter is, she thinks everything through and always has strategies and never lacks a plan for the outcomes of her outraged behaviour.

"You snitches!" She stormed her way towards where Matilda and Karen sat. Of course they were seated together! Birds of the same feather flock together. The two didn't even bother to look disturbed or anything of the sort.

They sat back smiling as a hysterical Luna approached them.

"What do you want now?" Matilda sighed rolling her eyes.

"Have you not learned your lesson?" Karen asked still smiling proudly.

"Because of you, A poor innocent man just lost his career all because he disagreed with your rich spoilt stupid behaviours! That man worked his ass off half of his life building the very thing that brought each and everyone of you here! Were it not for him, none of you and I repeat none of you would be here!!"

"It's not our fault. It's yours, stupid maid. You are the only one at fault here. If you had just minded your business, your friend would still be here. So don't tell us that bullshit of us destroying his life. Actions always have consequences," Matilda finished off with a smirk.

"Matilda is right and if you keep on with this attitude, you will be next." Mikayla said.She had just made her way into the hall together with Owen just in time to contribute to the madness.

"Go ahead. What are you waiting for?" Luna turned to look at Mikayla.

"You know what, that is exactly what I will do. I have heard enough of you and your disrespect. Its high time some one reminds you of your place." Mikayla said taking her phone out and dialling her mom of course.

"Good!" Luna exclaimed smirking. "And while you are at it, be kind enough to tell her she just lit up a never ending fire. And those who play with it will get scorched leave alone being burnt," Luna gritted her teeth, hatred being spat out of each word coming from her mouth.

Luna then turned to level her head with Matilda's, grabbed the end tips of the chair and then looked at her straight into her eyes before she spoke up. "You might seem to have it all, the money, the power, the influence, but soon...soon you will regret crossing my path and getting on my bad side barbie doll," She threatened!

"Worthless beings like you don't frighten us!" Karen said sharply. Luna looked at her and smiled. "Soon you will be," The threatening promise was fully exposed in both her eyes and her smirk. "Don't say I didn't warn you!" Luna said as she turned to find a seat.

"Luna can I please talk to you," Owen followed behind grabbing her hand making Luna stop. She inhaled deeply from the tingly sensations that were sent her way from the simple touch of Owen. She turned to look at him and her stiff facials softened from the concern and guilt that filled Owen's eyes.

"Yes, how may I help you Owen?". Owen exhaled in relief when she spared him time to talk. He did not let go off her hand instead he held onto it and placed his other hand on top of it caressing it softly.

" I am really sorry for hurting you. I don't know what came..."

"It's Okay. I am fine no need to explain yourself," Luna cut him off midway. "You sure?" Owen asked.

"Yes I am fine," Luna assured Owen by putting her hand on top of the hands that grabbed her other hand and smiled sweetly at him before freeing her hand and leaving a dumbfounded but melting Owen standing.She could feel Mikayla's burning angry stare behind her.

Soon as she found a chair and was seated, Grace grazed the podium with her elegant stiff presence and all were quiet.

"Miss Luna please come up here and join me." Those were the first words she spoke up and everyone turned to look at Luna who seemed to be the least bothered. Well this was expected. She sighed and lazily got up from her sit and went to join Grace up on the podium.

When she was up Grace introduced herself and went straight to business. She ordered for all the names of those matched together to be displayed on the screen. Luna turned to look up as everyone did the same thing.

Matilda was matched with Alpha by a 24%. The two cheered happily hugging and kissing. What a couple!

Karen was matched with some dude called Damien by a 10%. She did not seem happy with what she got but its not like she had a choice.

Mikayla was matched with Owen by a 20%. Mikayla was super happy and she couldn't help but squeal in excitement. Luna on the other hand got zero matches just like she had wanted and anticipated. She smiled in relief but her smile was cut short when Grace's bitter mouth opened to speak.

"Your suites are ready for you. I would like to apologize to you all for the statement said earlier on about you guys doing your chores. There was a little misunderstanding but it has been taken care of," She said smiling and they all sighed in relief.

Luna on the other hand was surprised. What had changed? What had been sorted? Nobody talked to her about anything.

"Miss Luna here will take care of all of your needs no need to worry. In case you want something taken care of, she is at your service.Thank you."

"What?" Luna exclaimed.

"What do you mean by I?" She asked shocked.

Grace smiled at Luna and grabbed her hand leading her out of the hall before she could cause any drama.

"Let go off me, You're hurting me!!" She shouted at Grace who immediately dropped her hand.

"What did you mean by me being at their service?" Luna questioned.

"Well my darling Luna, You cook for them, clean their messes, do laundry, basically all the chores!!" Grace said sternly.

"And find a room to sleep!" she added and left Luna standing all by herself shocked by the turn of events.
