After killing the Ambist Queen, Seria, Erisa, and Jake set up a bonfire to rest. Jake caught some rabbits while Seria cooked them. Erisa, on the other hand, was the one who made the bonfire.
The trio sat by the fire and ate the roasted rabbits with gusto. They were enjoying their meal when they were suddenly interrupted.
"Tsk!" Erisa clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"What's the matter?" Jake asked while munching on a rabbit's leg.
"Clairvoyance," Erisa said.
"Is it the enemy?" Jake asked.
"It is," Erisa replied.
"How much time do we have?" Seria asked calmly.
"Based on how far they are, at least an hour," Erisa said.
"An hour, huh? That's enough," Jake remarks.
"Prepare!" Seria ordered.
While the trio prepared for battle, Eecher, who was walking back, frowned. He felt someone watching from above.
"Tsk, why won't you just stay down obediently?"
With irritation, Eecher manipulated his destructive Nen, materializing it to form a black bow of Destruction. He drew the bow and aimed toward the sky. An arrow of Destruction, condensed from Nen, released a blue hue, tainting Eecher's face with its faint glow.
He held it for a moment, then released it.
Thwap!
The string snapped forward, pushing the arrow with force.
Ffwwit!
The Arrow of Destruction flew through the air at great speed, breaking the sound barrier multiple times before disappearing into the sky.
"That should do it," Eecher remarked, putting away the bow made from his Destructive Nen, and continued on his way.
Thousands of kilometers away.
Nameless forest.
A huge army was marching forward, heading toward Blue Rose City. At the very front of this army, a man in blue armor riding a demon horse, also in blue armor, was leading. This man was Alexander Blake, and he was now leading his army to destroy the Blue Rose.
"Wait for me, I'll be destroying you, Blue Rose," Blake said with a cruel smile.
"My lord, we will arrive in an hour if we keep up this speed," a robed man spoke respectfully.
"I want to arrive there in 10 minutes," Blake said.
"Umm, my lord, that's impossible. The city is thousands of kilometers away, and the demon horses have a top speed of 2,000 km/hr. We need to—" Before the robed man could continue, a heavy magical pressure engulfed him, pressing him down. Blake's eyes sent incredible chills down his spine, as if death itself was looking at him.
Cough! "I mean, we can do it if we feed the demon horses strength drugs."
"Do it."
"As you wish, my lord."
The robed man hurriedly stepped back and carried out the order.
As the robed man disappeared from sight, Blake turned his head and spoke to his right-hand man.
"So, what's the status?"
"They're here."
"Where are they?"
"In the back, sir."
Hearing this, Blake nodded and ordered his right-hand man to relay the plan, but before he could finish, Blake felt something ominous approaching from the sky.
He moved his head, but before he could look upward, an arrow containing a horrible destructive Nen fell amidst the army.
Boom!
A huge, infinite pillar of concentrated Nen of Destruction erupted, piercing the sky and traveling infinite distances in an instant, reaching the edge of the universe. Luckily for the universe, the pillar touched nothing, destroying nothing. The pillar of destructive Nen expanded, engulfing and destroying everything in its path, swallowing everything in an area of 500 kilometers.
It lasted for an hour before dissipating, leaving a massive bottomless hole with a radius of 500 kilometers. The hole seemed bottomless because its deep darkness hid its true depth.
The entire army, including its leader, Alexander Blake, was destroyed—reduced to nothing.
"What was that?" Jake asked, dumbfounded.
Jake stared at the massive pillar of destruction that pierced the sky in the distance.
Erisa and Seria watched the spectacle silently, their faces showing no reaction.
Jake noticed this.
"What's with your reaction?" Jake asked, confused.
"Well, we saw more outrageous things when we visited their homeland," Erisa said.
"Huh? How did you manage to visit that place?"
Hearing Jake's words, Seria, who was on the sidelines, couldn't help but join in. "Well, the place isn't forbidden in the first place. As long as you manage to get their approval and passport, you can enter there quite easily."
Jake nodded and thanked her.
"Anyway, the threat is eliminated. Let's continue," Jake said, and the other two responded with a nod.
"By the way, what are you doing, Seria?" Jake asked when he noticed she was up to something.
"Well, I'm just taking out the Ambist Queen's corpse for processing." As Seria spoke, a huge portal gradually formed in the sky 5 kilometers away. The massive corpse of the Ambist Queen came out.
Thud! A cloud of smoke formed and subsided after a few minutes. The massive corpse of the Ambist Queen lay there like a huge mountain.
"Let's do it later."
The other two agreed.
The trio resumed enjoying their meal, ignoring the spectacle on the horizon.
Zeus and Hera Familia
Whistle! "That's a great one, as expected of a hunter," Maxim said with a wide grin on his face.
"If they'd just hunted that monstrosity, the world would be much quieter," the Empress said with a sigh.
"That's impossible," Zald said dismissively. "You already know why."
Alfia, standing nearby, remained silent, watching the catastrophic scene in front of her.
"Asfi, why are we even here?" a dwarf girl asked with an expression of fear.
"I don't know. Even the beings who sit at the peak of this world seem dull to me," Asfi replied.
"I now understand why the Veterans have iron wills."
Asfi nodded in agreement.
In the city, both civilians and authorities alike were on the ground, kneeling in fear.
After a few minutes later, Alfia, Maxim, and the Empress approached the dead Ambist Queen.
They moved like the wind, reaching speeds ten times the speed of sound. After a few minutes, they arrived at the scene.
The first thing that caught their attention wasn't the mountain-sized corpse of the Ambist Queen, but Seria and her group.
Adventurer Guild
"Wha—what is that?" the Guild Master said, trembling.
"Now you see what you provoked. You're lucky Manager Victor is kind enough not to kill you on the spot," his beautiful secretary said flatly.
"You!"
"It would've been better if Manager Victor had killed you."
Hearing his secretary's remark, the Guild Master's anger boiled over. He stepped forward, trying to slap her, but before he could act, she grabbed his hand, twisted it, broke his bones, and slammed him to the ground.
The Guild Master squirmed on the ground in pain, howling like a pig being slaughtered. The guild employees who witnessed this said nothing and ignored him. They didn't help because he only brought them trouble. It was better if he just disappeared.
"I quit," the secretary said flatly and left.
All over the world, no matter their status or strength, the inhabitants were all looking in the same direction, staying silent in front of Destruction.
