A promise that felt just right to make

It had been two days since Summer had woken up and today was the day she goes back to her apartment. Her doctors wanted to keep her monitored for a while longer but she insisted that other than the constant headache, she was doing just fine. It was a debate until Andrew interfered and readjusted the bedroom inside of her apartment to include everything her room at the hospital had.

He did it without really asking her by making a copy of her key and then changing the lock and the key afterward. And though her family frowned upon the behavior, Summer found it a bit endearing. They were clearly comfortable enough around each other for him to go to such lengths. And she already felt slightly guilty about not remembering him, plus, she had embraced the fact that her family would not approve of her relationship with men easily.

She sighed for a few seconds while she gazed through the front passenger seat window at a Mini Cooper that Mike said belonged to her.
