A plan for Summer

Summer's father sat on an uncomfortable chair in the cafeteria of the hospital where his daughter was staying with a brain injury that resulted in a case of amnesia. His face was a map of endless lines, and his expression was fixed in its contorted state of fury.

"Dad…your face is purple, mind your blood pressure, will you?" Gabe said in a cautious yet firm tone.

"Don't you dare take up this condescending attitude, boy," he kept his index finger pointed threateningly in his son's face.

Gabe's body recoiled away from his father's agitated one, "…I'm sorry I kept things hidden for so long, and now…" It was a miserable month that Gabe had to sit back and watch his sister going through hell and almost not returning from it. There were no words for it.
