CHAPTER SEVENTY NINE

“We’ve not found any traces,” Jared says, tightly. “They entered the territory alone, in this condition.”

My hand curls into a fist at his words.

Ted and Hank study me, “Now what?”

I can still feel Lucas’s presence inside of me which means he’s alive but when I focus on it, I can’t really feel his emotions. He's not blocked me. I would have known if he had.

“I'm going to go look for him,” I say firmly.

“No!” Ted looks reluctant. “Sarah, the pack-“

“You are going to act in my stead like you did last time,” My words are fierce. “I have to find Lucas. You would do the same if this was your mate.”

I see his eyes flicker over where Tina is standing and he lets out a breath, “Then take some soldiers with you.”

I shake my head, “No. I’ll have my wolves.”

After giving him some instructions, I add, “Keep an eye on Ariel.”

Before heading to my room, I make a stop at Joseph’s quarters.

“Here,”I hand him a thick device.”
