CHAPTER EIGHTY FIVE
I watch the leaf shrivel up and scatter, and my heart sinks.
This has never happened before.
“This isn't going to work," I look up at the panther shifters watching me. “I'm going to have to go to her myself.”
“We’ll come-“
“No,” I shake my head. “Aliya won’t welcome anyone inside her sanctuary. All of your return and tell Eric to keep my mate alive.”
“Damon told us to protect you,” Turner insists and I study their faces.
“Fine. But then we’ll have to split up. Two of you go back and tell Damon what happened. The rest of you can accompany me.”
The path to Aliya’s home is along the river so I decide to follow it.
However, I can't shake the image of the leaf, disintegrating. What does that mean?
Is Aleeha in trouble? Is she safe?
I had found it odd that I have not seen her in so long.
With no way of knowing whether the bitch is safe or not, my heart is sinking with each step.
