CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY TWO
My body hurts and I groan in pain.
Where am I?
I know I’m no longer in Damien’s bedroom.
I’m laying on my side on a cemented floor and my head is throbbing.
I lift my hand to my head and I feel something wet. It takes me a moment to recognize it as blood. My blood.
What happened?
I try to sit up and it’s a struggle, a strange weakness overtaking me.
I let out a groan as I finally manage to pull myself into a sitting position. It’s then that I notice that there is something tied around my ankle. My eyes are adjusting to the darkness and I squint to make out what it is. My hand reaches down to touch it and I let out a pain-filled cry at the electric shock I receive.
What the hell is that?
Someone must have heard me cry out because moments later, I hear a creaking sound and a door opens. The sudden light makes me blink and then a small bulb lights up.
“Awake, are you?”
