CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ONE
Despite the circumstances my heart is racing at the heat between us.
My skin tingles where he grips my neck and I just want to sink in deeper, craving more. I’ve long since stopped fighting my attraction and desire towards Damien and I lean in as he moves his mouth against mine.
There’s hunger and desire and this raw primal attraction which my wolf is bathing in.
But at the end of the day, I have to pull back, despite wanting more.
“You stink,” I finally manage to say once I catch my breath. “You stink of too much blood.”
Damien studies me, “Should I shower?”
For an instant, he reminds me of the child I met while in the Arush, and then I bink and that image is gone.
“Wrap things up, please,” I step back.
My tone is polite and it’s taking every bit of me to keep myself calm. He seems to respond t my calmness, “Okay. Let me make sure that our room is secure and then you can go there. I’ll wrap things up quickly and come to you.”
