CHAPTER SEVENTY EIGHT
Even knowing that there is no chance of survival, I can’t help myself.
I rush towards the grey wolf, trying to push it off the dog.
It doesn’t budge but it turns its attention towards me.
One swat of the paw and I go crashing into the trees.
My vision is blurry as I try to sit up, my whole body aching from the impact with the trees. I let out a groan and fall back down.
Oh God!
I feel hot breath on my face and when I look up, it’s the wolf.
I dazedly wonder if it is going to kill me.
But then, it just transforms into a man, a man with a heavy build and grey hair. He’s not young by any means but he’s strong. I can sense even in my injured state, and I’m scared.
He crouches down and grabs my chin, studying my face. After a few moments, his lips curve, “Mason wasn’t exaggerating. You are a beauty. Hm, you’ll do nicely.”
“W-What?” I stammer, feeling dizzy and nauseous. I try to look behind him, “The do-”
