MRS. CELINA'S CASE (part 1)

" What are you preparing for?" Mrs. Ruth, who entered her daughter's room earlier, curiously asked.

Instead of getting an answer from Clara, she went dumb without responding to her mom's question.

" Have you gone dumb? You seem to be in haste, where are you heading to?" she inquired once more.

" Since no one is willing to stand with me, I'm doing it alone." was all Clara said as she struggled to tie her shoestrings.

" Huh?" Mrs. Ruth feared losing her daughter.

" Yes," she said simply.

" After so much warning, yet you hardened your heart to go ahead to fight a battle that is above your ability?"

" This isn't a war that has to do with guns. So, I see no reason why I shouldn't fight it. Do you have any?" Clara questioned her mom as their eyes locked together.

Mrs. Ruth knew that what her daughter was doing was the right thing, but her fear was about the dangers ahead of her.
