THE GUNSHOT

" Explain what, Aidan? Haven't I told you that my phone is my privacy? Why are you labeling me as a liar, Aidan?" she shouted at the top of her voice with gritted teeth.

Aidan couldn't utter a word, as he knew that it wasn't good to go through someone's phone without their permission. But he just had to do it because of his safety.

" I-I… I'm sorry," he apologized with a cracking voice and shut his eyes, with shame.

Of course, he wasn't the type that likes apologizing to people when he wrongs them. In fact, Aidan can count the number of times he once apologized to anyone since he became an adult. An apology was rare in his mouth.

" Better be," she said and walked up to Aidan and pulled her phone off his hand.

Aidan was shocked by her behavior toward him. He was trying to be soft to her, but she was doing the opposite to him. What's happening?
