With haste, Clara ran to protect Ruby, or else, she might fall to the ground as she hadn't regained her strength.

" Ruby," Clara called out her name as she tried to lay back Ruby on the bed." Take it easy, so you won't hurt yourself," said Clara.

" What happened to me, Clara?" she inquired with trembling hands.

Ruby was aware that she couldn't give birth now. Six months pregnant? It isn't possible. Then what happened to the baby in her womb?

" Where is the baby?" another question sneaked out of her mouth.

Clara was speechless as she expected Aidan to come and explain to her, but he was also going through pain as he lay helpless on the floor.

Aidan gathered all the strength he had and forced himself to stand up from the ground before walking up to them.

He stooped to Ruby's level and stared at her in the face with so much pain written all over his face.
