As the villagers looked over the dead beast with Euphrates, Gell and Nightshade talked.
"Why didn't you tell me that you could do that!?!?!?"
"I honestly thought the beast was stronger than that sir, sorry to steal your kill."
"No, no! Don't apologize! That was freaking amazing! I'm impressed it didn't try to run!"
"Just another one of my many skills."
The two walked down to the villagers who were eager to greet the young master and his summon. They thanked him and gave him his reward, triple what they'd promised in the ad from the guild. 1,000 silver and 8 gold pieces.
Gell gladly accepted, he was thrilled to have money in his pocket. Nightshade helped some of the villages chop up the beast for a feast for them. After a few hours, the party of three waved goodbye to the villagers, and headed back home. The three were pleased with their money and their victory.
The Village Chief went to the Sorcerer on the hill after the party left.
"Did you see the battle?"
"Yes, that Summons's aura is bigger than that of the Hero of Delemar. We need to alert Demon Lord Cezeros."
"My thoughts exactly. Lord Cezeros will handle this, I'm sure of it."
Back with the party of three, Gell and the others had set up camp, they'd have a bit longer of a journey home, having to get supplies and food for the mansion. This time, Euphrates took watch over the sleep camp. As Nightshade slept, he tossed and turned, hearing the echoes of his past, and with each passing minute, they became worse and worse.
