Author's POV
Lan woke up to the beeping sound of his phone. He rolled on his bed trying to ignore his phone when his alarm clock blared adding to his headache.
He groaned cussing under his breathe.
"So great of you Lan to forget switching off the damn alarm!"He said sarcastically.
He rolled over to his belly and took his phone.
He kept staring at the message displayed hoping I'd disappear.
Damon messaged me??
His mind kept trying to process the fact that he had Damon's number but how did he have his?
The message read:
My secret lover👅"Good morning freak...still in bed right?"
Lan replied still confused at how he got his number.
Lan: "How did you get my number?"
His phone pinged the next minute alerting him of a new message.
My secret lover 👅:No good morning kisses? That's sad🥺..
Lan rolled his eyes not ready for his tantrums this morning. His head kept hurting due to how late he slept.
Lan: Be serious for once in your life Damon!
My secret lover 👅:"Fine...and here I thought you were the smart one. Remember I saved my number in your phone right? Well I binged mine at the same time with yours. Happy?"
Lan rolled his eyes at the obvious show of sarcasm in his message.
Lan : "Yeah whatever"
He dropped his phone and got up deciding to prepare for the day since Damon and his alarm decided to force him awake.
He was about heading to the bathroom when his phone rang.
What does he want again! He thought angrily heading towards the phone.
He picked it about to yell at him.
"Hey babe. Good morning..Lots of kisses and love from me mwa.. mwa" Mark said mimicking a baby's voice.
Lan could feel his heart drop. He shut his open mouth and gulped.
"Hey... slept well?" He asked.
"Not really, I missed you" Mark said. His voice had a little rough edge to it signifying he just woke up.
"I miss you too" Lan smiled his cheeks inflamed.
Gosh it was too early for this. He thought.
"Well good news we get to see each other without fear of anyone being suspicious that we spend so much time together" Mark said excitement lased in his voice.
"How?" Lan asked confused.
"Well Pearl just texted me, that we are all going to a club tonight. So enough time for a certain two people to sneak away" Mark teased. Lan understanding what he meant chuckled feeling shy.
"She didn't tell me though" He complained. He always wants to be the first person Pearl tells any of her plans to. He was her best friend first.
Mark understanding his underlining meaning laughed. "Don't worry, I'm sure she'd message you soon" He comforted him.
"I can't wait to see you later" Mark said.
Lan hummed"Me too" He replied.
After a while the call got disconnected. Immediately a text from Pearl popped in informing him about the club and what time everyone should be their.
Lan scoffed still feeling betrayed.
He dialed Damon's number wanting to inform him of their plans. He was their friend after all so he deserved to know. At least that's what he believes.
Damon picked up at the first ring.
"Look whose calling already. Are you that desperate?" Damon said his voice husky startling lan a bit.
"Definitely not for you." He replied.
"Baby...you just hurt my feelings..."Damon said sniffling over the phone.
Lan faceplamed himself regretting his action already. He should have just texted.
"Quit the drama. I just wanted to inform you that we are all going to the club tonight by 7pm so get ready "he announced.
"Okay, I'll come over"
"Wait! wha-"
And just like that Damon ended the call. Lan's temper skyrocked as he kept glaring at the phone in his hand.
The drama for the day continued when he went down to have breakfast and like always Nate kept trying to pick on him. This time around he accused him of dumping his filthy boxer in his drawer.
Thank God his mom clarified the issue and told him that it was actually his boxer and that she kept it back in his drawer because she saw it on top of the washing machine.
Lan squeezed his face in disgust. Nate can be irritating and dirty at times. The sheer look of embarrassment on his face was priceless though as he walked back into his room saying he'd have his breakfast In there.
Though at the end, his mom forced his butt out of his room.
The day ran smoothly with him trying to choose his outfit, to a video call with Mark that had his crackled, to a chat with Pearl.
It all flowed easily and the most anticipated moment reached. Lan stared at his reflection in his mirror contemplating if he should just try on something else.
He was dressed in loosed pants and a white shirt. The look fitting his small face. His hair was extra brushed to the side.
He cleaned up nice. But what that enough. He thought.
He shrugged deciding to go with the look. The sound of the door bell alerted him. That must be Damon.
He ran down the stairs wanting to be the one to open the door but Nate beat him to it. As he was already standing with the door wide open talking to a ravishing looking Damon.
And by ravishing I mean, his hair was ruffled like he just got out of bed, he wore blue pants and a white shirt, a smile on his face as he spoke with Nate.
"Hey Lan..." Damon acknowledge his presence waving at him.
Lan looked away embarrassed that he was caught ogling.
"You came at the right time bro, we were about to go to a club. Wanna come?" Nate asked his arm wrapped around his shoulder.
Damon smiled as his eyes connected with lan's.
"Sure I don't mind" he replied sending lan a wink.
Please let this all go well. Damon breaths trouble. Lan thought.
Few minutes later they all sat in Nate's car heading for the club.
Damon sat beside Nate in the front seat while Lan sat at the back alone. The drive was quiet and calm till they got to the club.
Nate parked the car as they alighted.
"Let's have crazy fun!!" Nate yelled slapping Damon on his shoulder who laughed as well.
Lan rolled his eyes at their behaviour. They bypassed the line to the anger of those standing.
They walked towards the huge man dressed in suit in front of the club entrance.
Nate showed him his ID. He nodded letting them in.
The club was huge, music playing loudly. Bodies grinning and rolling together on the dance floor. There was a small bar where a few people sat,the bartender serving them.
The smell in here was not soothing for lan at all. He could smell the stench of alcohol and sweat annoying him.
"There they are" Nate yelled pointing at their friends sitting on a red couch on the other side of the club.
They made their way through the sweating bodies heading for the couch.
"Hey yo! Damon you came as well" Luke exclaimed surprised.
"How could I miss such an occasion hm"Damon wiggled his brows. He sat beside Nate while Lan sat beside Mark already engaging in a conversation with him.
"But how did you know about it?" Pearl was the one to ask.
Damon glanced at lan a smirk on his face.
"A fairy told me" He replied.
They all laughed not bothering to inquire any more.
"Let's have fun!!!" Luke hollered.
Jacob went to the bar and got drinks for everyone.
He gave each of them their glasses except for Damon who stuck to water. Even lan was forced to have a glass.
"Hey I don't think---"
"Just drink it Lan..."Jacob said rolling his eyes.
"Drink it!"
"Drink it!"
"Drink it!"
They all chanted putting lan in a tight spot. He sniffed the drink and squeezed his nose at it's smell.
He looked towards Mark for support but even him was chanting, a smile on his face.
"It smells horrible.." He complained a pout on his lips.
"Quite whining..." Pearl said amusement in her eyes. She forced the entire content down his throat. Lan coughed as his eyes watered.
"That's it champ!!!" Luke patted his shoulder laughing.
"Stop couching like a simp Lan" Nate teased him earning a deadly glare in return.
"You did great" Mark whispered in his ear a smile on his face.
Lan turned to stare at him."But I don't feel great.." He whispered back.
That was more alcohol than he had ever tasted. His mouth was on fire and his throat burned.
"You'll be fine" Mark said softly wrapping him hand around his shoulder.
A new beat began playing making everyone in the club howl.
"Let's go crazy!!!" Pearl yelled pulling Luke with her to the dance floor.
She kept grinding on him and dancing all over him. Luke matched her energy as they both danced like two mad couple earning a few glances.
"They are so stupid" Jacob chuckled amused.
"I'm sure Pearl influenced him" Lan added rolling his eyes at his crazy best friend and her display.
"Let's all go dance ai?" Jacob said pulling them all up despite their refusal.
They all moved to the dancing floor dancing to the new beat.
Nate and Jacob were rolling their waists trying to imitate a whine. They earned a few chuckles and laughter around but they didn't stop.
Mark pulled Lan towards him. He wrapped him hand around his waist as they slow danced to an upbeat.
Lan felt embarrassed. He looked around hoping no one was watching. His eyes connected with Damon who went back to seat down. His eyes were fixated on him.
Lan looked away quickly.
"What are you doing? We are dancing to the wrong beat and what if someone suspects us?" Lan whispered to him.
"Don't worry they won't. It's a club crazy things happen no one would think of anything plus I would like us to have our first slow dance even though it's to the wrong music" Mark said, a cheeky smile on his face.
Lan bite his lips and nodded his head not wanting to let his fear ruin their night.
They kept dancing like that before Pearl and the others came over interrupting them. They forced a shot down Mark's throat but lan refused to have any earning a slap on his head from Pearl.
They left the duo and went back to dancing with other strangers and howling in the middle of the club.
Lan looked over at the red couch again where they sat but Damon was no where in sight. He turned around trying to search for him but he was no were in sight.
"Who are you looking for?" Mark yelled in his ear.
"No one" Lan replied returning his eyes back on Mark.
