Chapter 47

                     Author's POV

It's been a week after the whole rumble on the bed Lan had with Damon. A whole week of ignoring Damon and Mark.

Guilt ate him up like a virus inside. He'd spend days couped up on his bed crying his heart out.

He cheated on Mark. How could he do that to Mark. He let himself get drown in lust. Who was he fooling he knew it seized being a prove of his lack of desire for Damon when he let him touch him.

His mom has been worried constantly asking him what's wrong or if he needs anything but Lan would always reply that he was okay but still locked himself up in his room.

Mark had dropped several messages over the week apologizing endlessly if he had hurt him by his behaviour or if he pushed too hard.

But the messages only made lan's heart pang with more guilt. He slept in another man's arms and God save him but he loved every moment of it.

He felt like a cheat, like he was slowly becoming his dad.

Today Mark is traveling with his mom for vacation and he messaged him asking to see him just once before he leaves but Lan did not respond.

He sat on his bed, his mind in outer space staring out of his window.

' Mark has probably left by now ' he thought, a sigh escaping his lips.

A knock on his door alerted him. His mom popped her face in eyeing his state.

"Honey someone's here to see you" She informed him.

Who could it be? D-did Damon drop by because he left before he woke up?Or is it because he ignored his call? He thought his heart racing in his chest.

"Should I let him in?" She asked quietly.

So it's a guy then. He thought.

Lan nodded not tearing his eyes away from his window. Ever since that night, he couldn't stop thinking about Damon and it was driving him insane. His mind wouldn't let him forget that night at all.

It was all so fresh in his head. His dreams had turn into a torture land with Damon's face.

The door opened again a minute later and shut. He could see the silliuotte of the person but didn't bother looking.

"Are you that mad at me that you're punishing yourself?"

Mark voiced stepping towards the bed.

Lan hated the feeling of disappointment that surged through him. What was happening to him.

Mark sat down beside him reaching for his hand.

He felt responsible for Lan's state. If only he didn't do what he did, then he wouldn't be this mad at him. He thought.

"I'm so sorry Lan. I shouldn't have reacted angrily or even instigated the whole thing. Please talk to me" Mark apologized sadness in his voice.

Lan shut his eyes tight, guilt eating him up.

Mark touched his chin turning his face towards him.

Their eyes connected as tears flowed freely from Lan's eyes.

"I'm so sorry... please. I hate it when you ignore me." Mark apologized again feeling emotional.

Lan's lips wobbled. He crashed his body into Mark hugging him tightly. A sob escaped from his mouth as he let himself freely cry his heart out in his arms.

"I-I am so s-sorry...." Lan stuttered apologizing.

Make patted his back trying calm him down.

"I should be the one apologising, not you" Mark said holding him tightly.

He pulled Lan away gently, wiping his fallen tears with his hand.

"Don't cry, I hate seeing tears in your eyes especially when I'm the cause" Mark said.

Lan nodded blinking back the tears about to fall.

"You look so pale" Mark said observing his looks.

"I haven't been sleeping so well" Lan admitted brushing his hair to the side.

Mark held his cheeks a pout on his lips.

"Because of me?"He asked feeling guilty.

Lan shook his head "No" he replied.

"Don't lie just to make me feel better" Mark smiled.

"I thought you were traveling today?" Lan asked confused.

"I am. Mom's down stairs. I couldn't leave without seeing you" Mark explained a grin on his lips.

Lan smiled in appreciation.

"Thank you"

"Now why are you thanking me? I came to see my boyfriend, it's no biggie" Mark replied.

"Now come let's go see Mom. She has been worried and pulled my ear ever since I told her what happened" Mark told him.

Lan chuckled nodding his head. The glow on his cheeks returned.

They went down stairs and saw the women engaging in a conversation, smiles on their faces.

They stopped when they spotted them. Mrs Quinn stood up.

"Lanny....how are you feeling dear? I'm so sorry this idiot hurt you" Mark's mom, Mrs Quinn apologized pulling lan into a hug not forgetting to throw Mark a scowl making him pout in return.

Miss Lucy was all smiles on her face as she saw the warm display of Mark's mother.

"They make a beautiful pair..." She said smiling.

Lan stilled in Mrs Quinn's hold. His heart stopped for a minute.

Mark also stood surprised and scared.

Lan pulled away from Mrs Quinn's hold, his eyes connecting with Mark in fright.

"Y-you know?" Mark asked shocked.

"Not until now. Your mom told me." Miss Lucy admitted.

"Ma..." Mark glared at his mom who just shrugged.

"I didn't know I was not supposed to tell" She said.

"Lan why didn't you tell me?" Miss Lucy asked Lan offended.

Lan fiddled with his fingers scared.

He moved towards his mother on the couch and sat beside her.

"I-I was afraid of how you'd react" He admitted.

Miss Lucy pulled him into her arms.

"Oh sweetie. Whether you're gay or something else, I wouldn't mind. You're still my Lan in here" She pointed at his chest.

Lan's eyes watered seeing the love in her eyes.

"S-so you don't mind?" He asked.

"Of cause I don't silly" Miss Lucy smiled ruffling his hair.

"At least I don't have to get worried of you getting a girl pregnant" She winked earning a laughter from Mrs Quinn and a blush from the two boys.

"Ma!" Lan yelled blushing.

"We better get going then, it's going to be a long drive" Mrs Quinn said smiling.

Lan and his mom stood up as they escorted them out.

The two women walked forward towards the packed car while Lan and Mark stood behind talking.

"I will call you as much as I can" Mark said holding his hand without shame.

Lan nodded.

"How long are you both going to stay?" He asked.

"I'm not sure yet but it probably won't be that long. We'd definitely be back before the break is over" Mark explained.

His eyes filled with emotions, he pulled a stunned lan into a bone crushing hug.

"I'll miss you so much..." He said engraving his scent into his mind.

"M-mark y-you're  b-blocking m-my airway" Lan forced out.

"Oh sorry!" Mark pulled away smiling.

Lan chuckled "it's okay" he replied.

"Let's go Mark. You're not leaving forever" Mrs Quinn yelled teasing them.

Lan's cheeks reddened at her statement.

Mark scratched his head not knowing what to do next.

He rushed, giving him a quick kiss on his lips while smiling like a cheshire cat.

Lan gasped in surprise. The two women clapped in support.

"Bye..." Mark waved heading towards the car.

"Bye..." Lan smiled waving back. The thought of his activity with Damon envaded his mind once more wiping the smile off his face.

He watched as Mark entered the car and they drove off. His mom waving them goodbye.
