Chapter 9

[Norman (Sanctuary Immortal Sect)

Cultivation: Ninth Stage of Qi Refining

Talent: Peerless

Sect Grade: Grade 10

Disciples: 111 (Third-Class), 230 (Fourth-Class)

Sect Staff: 5 (Deacons)

Cultivation Technique: Heavenly Sanctuary (Low-Heaven Grade)

Martial Skills: Evil Sanctuary (High-Earth Grade))]

''230 Fourth Class Disciples and 111 Third Class.''

Norman glanced at it. These numbers were quite high already. If each of them eventually reach the Qi Refining realm, an army of 341 Cultivators are more than enough to maintain the entire Broken Valley.

''System show me my progress of the Mission Train Disciples.''

[Released Mission: Train Disciples

Have 100 Disciples break through to the Qi Refining Realm

96/100

Reward: Disciples Registry]

''96! Only 4 more and I can unlock the disciples registry.''

''It's estimated that this should be available the next day.''

However Norman had something more exciting before he got to the next day. He is able to break through!

Sitting in the underground basement beside the Spiritual Core, surges of Aura poured into Norman's body.

Inside his body the ocean of Spiritual Liquid began to condense into countless small bricks forming a large building like a tall tower.

''Haha successfully built the foundation!''

Norman felt the surging power in his body and sighed with satisfaction. He officially stepped out of the lowest Realm!

The Heaven Grade Technique in his body surged. The Heavenly Sanctuary Technique was intended to create the perfect Sanctuary in your body.

Within it you can store your soul and objects. If your main body ever dies you can survive through the Sanctuary and hopefully reform your body in the future.

''Haha activate the Evil Sanctuary!''

Norman shouted out with a growl. The space around him started to twist, turning into an evil black light like the endless abyss.

Red eyes appeared in the darkness preparing to attack anyone that appeared.

This is the High-Earth Grade technique. With it you can cultivate deadly souls in the darkness using them to attack their enemies.

Unconsciously, Norman had adjusted to his strength over the night.

And the next day he received two notifications that excited him.

[Ding]

[Do you wish to sign in?]

[Ding]

[Congratulations to the Host for Completing the Mission 'Train Disciples'. Reward: Disciples Registry.]

''System Sign in!''

[Ding]

[Congratulations to the Host for getting: 100 Third-Class Disciples]

''Huh 100 Third-Class Disciples again! It's a shame though without top tier talents, the sect won't produce any top combat powers.''

Norman glanced at the reward with a faint sense of happiness. But there was a faint feeling of worry in his heart.

The potential of Third-Class Disciples are limited.

Second-Class and First-Class Disciples are the real backbone of the force likely to become Elders while Peerless Talents can compete for the position of Holy Son and the ancestors of the Sect.

''The Sect can't survive relying on Deacons. If the Aura starts to recover geniuses will continue to appear. I might have an early advantage but there will always be geniuses that could overthrow us!''

Norman felt fear coming from his heart, determined to run under the radar. The first sects to suffer in the catastrophe were those that flaunted their wealth.

He can clearly remember the original body's master personally exterminating dozens of lower grade sects just for a handful of Spiritual Stones!

''Fortunately the Sect is in a very hidden position. And as long as I can sign in a Formation or develop some more formations the whole place can be easily hidden.''

''As for the disciples that leave the sect for whatever reason as long as they use the teleporter, it would be impossible for any rivals to hunt him down.''

Norman summoned the 100 new disciples and passed them onto the Deacons to organise.

''But what's the purpose of this?''

Finally after signing in today Norman finally looked at the reward for the mission.

[Disciples Registry: A special book holding incredible value to the Sect. Members of the Sect can write their name down on the book and be officially bound to the Sect forever. They will not rebel and they will consider the interests of the sect above their own.]

''Perfect! It's exactly what I need now that I'm recruiting disciples from outside to join the Sect.''

Norman read the introduction and smiled. Although he wasn't too worried about the loyalty of new disciples, it's always better to avoid disasters or inconveniences.

Passing the book over to a Deacon he instructed that all disciples should sign their name to the book.

After organising the Sect, Norman began to practise. The Current aura in the sect is enough to support a Peak Foundation Expert, and his peerless talent shouldn't take too long to break through.

While Norman was practising, millions of miles away a majestic scene was happening in the depths of a ravine.

''Hahaha! Finally finally my Demon Blood Sect has rejuvenated! The Aura in the world is recovering and it's time for our rise!''

Thousands of blood red buildings appeared each filled with countless torture weapons.

Inside of the major hall three figures dressed in red robes each in the Qi Refining realm appeared.

The Demon Blood Sect! A Second Grade Sect!

At the same time inside of an endless field two stunning girls appeared from between the trees. Their ears were slightly pointed as the vines seepend to twist to welcome them.

''After countless years the Tree of Life is finally regrowing?''

One by one ancient forces began to reappear.

The moonlight elves, a First Grade Sect reappeared.

The Flaming Titans hidden in the depths of a volcano, a Second Grade Sect.

And hundreds of other sects with special opportunities to maintain their inheritance! Of course there are unknown amounts of others that disappeared in the passing of time. With many ancient locations being looted by the Mortals or rival sects before the catastrophe ended.

Of course compared to the luxury the Sects enjoyed before they were not abysmally small.

Even the best First Grade Sects could only afford to keep Foundation Disciples and nothing more.

And they didn't have such an easy time recruiting new disciples like Norman.

The two elf girls rushed towards the nearest Mortal Village. Their Foundation Auras bursting around them.
