"It's good that you all seem well," the Master said. "I summoned you here to introduce Kate."
"She's someone who will play a big role in our fight with the demons. Despite how she looks, she has real power, similar to the demons," he added.
"Does Master mean that she has a Blood Demon Art?" Sanemi asked.
"Yes," the Master replied. "I also plan on making her a Hashira. Does anyone have any objections?"
"Having someone as powerful as her is not that bad. Plus, she's really serious based on Mitsuri and Shinobu's report," Gyomei said.
All of the Hashira nodded in agreement.
"Tch. If that's the case, then I have no objection," Sanemi said.
"Then it's settled," the Master said. "Kate the Saintess, you'll be a Hashira from now on."
Kate stood up and looked at everyone. "Thank you, everyone, for this opportunity. I will make sure not to waste your trust in me," she said, bowing again.
"Thank you for that, Kate. Now, for our next issue," the Master said as everyone became more serious. "We've received reports suggesting a demon is staying in the Red District area."
"For the Master to mention this," Shinobu said, "does the Master suspect that a high-ranking demon is staying there?"
"We don't know for sure, but there is a high chance," the Master replied.
"Then I shall go," Sanemi volunteered.
"No, Uzui will take this one," the Master decided.
"That is all," the Master concluded.
"Master?" Mitsuri said, her voice filled with curiosity.
"What is it, Mitsuri?" the Master asked.
While the Master was talking to the other Hashira, Kate noticed the sudden appearance of her quest menu.
"Quest Failed Successfully," Kate read silently. "Wha- What the hell!!" she screamed internally as she continued to read. "You will be brought to another universe in 5 minutes. Since you finished 1 Main Quest, you can only bring back one skill."
Kate's mind raced as she processed the information. She had only a few minutes to decide which skill to bring with her. Her thoughts darted between the various techniques and abilities she had mastered.
"Kate?" Mitsuri's voice broke through her thoughts, pulling her back to the present.
"Yes?" Kate responded, trying to keep her composure despite the turmoil inside.
"Are you ready?" Mitsuri asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
Kate nodded, forcing a smile. "Of course. I'm ready."
Internally, she was anything but calm. She had to choose quickly. Her Spirit Sword? Fire Breathing? One of her divine abilities? She had mere moments to decide before being thrust into yet another unknown world.
"I choose the Spirit Sword Cultivation since it's more useful," Kate decided, confirming her selection. "Yep, this is the most useful technique," she affirmed to herself.
With only three minutes left, Kate's anxiety grew. "Can I go now?" she wondered. "Staying here is just a waste of time now."
Suddenly, Kate's body began to glow with a blinding golden light, startling everyone around her. "Another process? It's different from the first time," she remarked as she felt herself being transported. The light enveloped her, and in an instant, she was gone.
Kate opened her eyes and found herself in the familiar void she always encountered when transferring between universes. This time, however, words floated before her. "Is that the Quest?" she asked herself.
Reading the message, her eyes widened in shock. "The quest is to distance myself from someone named Raiden Mei?" she repeated aloud. Realization dawned on her, and she shouted, "Wha—What the hell! THIS MUST BE A JOKE!" Frustration bubbled up. "This is too much. I read, watched, and played a lot of media from Planet Earth in my past immortal life. This quest is making my favorite character sad!"
Then, a thought struck her. "Wait, it won't be that hard since the game's story development is quite fast," she reasoned. "Plus, Mei will go with the World Serpent, so I won't need to avoid her that much." Excitement replaced her frustration as she considered the possibilities. "Wait, this is also my time to copy the Herscher Cores!"
Her heart raced with anticipation, but before she could dwell on it further, everything went blank.
Kate opened her eyes and saw a strange ceiling. "Where am I?" she muttered, then realized her voice was different. "What the..." she exclaimed, looking around at her surroundings and her body. "What is going on?" She remembered the mysterious being's words. "Wait, am I in Kiana's body now?" Panic set in, and she immediately searched for a mirror.
A loud thud caught her attention, and she turned to see someone standing there, surprised. It was Kiana. "Wha- What?" Kate exclaimed. "Kiana?"
The person ran toward her and hugged her tightly. "I'm glad you woke up! Mom and Dad were worried sick and did everything they could to come here, even for a short time every week," the person said.
"Kiana? What's going on?" Kate asked, still being hugged. "What? I thought I would be Kiana," she thought to herself.
"What are you saying? Why are you calling your name?" the person asked, surprising Kate further.
"It's me, Bianka Kaslana, your older twin sister," the person said, surprising Kate.
"Eh?" Kate exclaimed.
"Are you okay?" Bianka asked. "I already called the doctor, so just wait. You should lie down again," Bianka added.
Kate lay down, trying to collect her thoughts. "So, I'm Kiana, and we're twins? I guess that's how it is since, in the story, Kiana is a clone of Bianka, the original Kiana," Kate thought to herself as she looked at Bianka.
"What is it?" Bianka asked.
"I think I don't remember everything," Kate said, surprising Bianka.
Not long after, the doctor arrived and checked on Kiana. At the doctor's office, the doctor explained, "Ms. Bianka, Ms. Kiana's amnesia is only temporary, and you might notice she has changed a little, but it's only temporary."
"I see," Bianka said. "When will she be able to come home?"
"We'd like to watch her for two to three days more to make sure she's okay since she's been in a coma for a month now," the doctor said.
"I see. Thank you, doctor," Bianka said as she left the office.
Back in the hospital room, Bianka returned to Kiana's side. "The doctor said your amnesia is only temporary. They want to keep you here for a few more days to make sure you're okay," she explained.
Kate, now in Kiana's body, nodded slowly. "A month in a coma... no wonder everything feels strange," she thought.
Bianka gently took Kiana's hand. "Don't worry, I'll be here with you. Mom and Dad are trying to come as often as they can too."
"Thank you, Bianka," Kate said, trying to match Kiana's tone. "I'll do my best to remember everything."
Bianka smiled. "Take your time. We're just glad you're awake."
As Bianka sat with her, Kate's mind raced. "I need to figure out what happened and how to handle this situation," she thought. "But first, I need to get through these next few days."
Over the next few days, Kate observed everything around her, trying to piece together the details of her new life as Kiana. Bianka was a constant presence, supporting her through every step. By the time the doctors finally cleared her to go home, Kate felt a little more confident in her role.
"Ready to go home?" Bianka asked, helping Kiana to her feet.
"Yes," Kate replied, taking a deep breath. "Let's go home."
Kate, in Kiana's body, couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves as she prepared to meet everyone. Bianka's playful teasing snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Wipe that perverted smile off your face," Bianka said, eyeing her sister suspiciously.
"What?" Kiana asked, genuinely confused.
"Your perverted side is leaking out. Are you thinking of your Mei-senpai?" Bianka teased.
"What? No!" Kiana replied, looking away.
"Tch, don't do anything to her, even if we bought their company," Bianka warned.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Kiana asked, still puzzled.
"So you forgot this too?" Bianka sighed. "Yes, the ME Corp is now ours. It's now MEI, Massive Electric Incorporation. Don't forget that," she explained.
"Yes, Big Sis," Kiana replied, catching Bianka off guard.
"Nice!" Bianka exclaimed, momentarily lost in her own little world. "I forgot the feeling of being called 'Big Sister,'" she added with a smile. "Anyways, the car is here. Let's go home, Little Sis," Bianka said, offering her hand to Kiana.
"Yes, Big Sis," Kiana replied, taking her sister's hand. Together, they headed home, ready to face whatever came next.
Arriving at their home, Kate, in Kiana's body, was stunned by the grandeur of the mansion before her. She was speechless, causing Bianka to tease her.
"What? You forgotten how rich we are?" Bianka said with a smirk.
"Ye-yeah, I didn't know we had a castle here," Kiana thought to herself, marveling at the scene. "This wasn't in the comic or the game!" she pondered internally.
"Castle?" Bianka asked, surprised. "No, this is not the castle. It's at our homeland. You said you didn't want to live there, and we Kaslanas live by our oaths, so we agreed for you to transfer and live in Japan. Thanks to you, we managed to cooperate with MEI Inc.," Bianka explained.
"What are you saying? What about the Honkai?" Kiana asked, confused.
"Huh? Honkai?" Bianka responded, puzzled.
"WAIT, DOES THIS WORLD NOT HAVE THEM?" Kiana thought to herself, trying to comprehend the unexpected reality.
"Kiana? What's the matter?" Bianka asked, looking at Kiana worriedly.
"Oh, I'm okay. I just remembered some useless things," Kiana explained.
"I see. Then shall we go?" Bianka said.
"Yes, I want to rest," Kiana replied.
"Indeed," Bianka said.
Once they entered the mansion, Bianka gave Kiana a tour. "See, I told you we should do this tomorrow," Bianka said.
"No, Big Sis, it's alright. I want to remember as fast as possible," Kiana insisted.
"I see. Since we're done, let's eat now," Bianka said.
"Yes!" Kiana responded happily.
After eating, the two went to their rooms. "This is really different! I'm in a different one," Kate screamed internally. "I guess this is why it's a punishment transportation," Kiana thought to herself. "Wait, now that there's no problem in this world, does that mean..." Kate pondered, realizing the new possibilities in this world without the looming threat of Honkai.
In the morning, Kiana was waiting for Bianka while thinking, "The quest panel hasn't shown itself yet," Kiana thought to herself. "If there is no quest panel, how will I-" Kiana remembered something and immediately stopped. "The mysterious being said that I have to distance myself from Raiden Mei," Kiana thought. "With Dudu's words, most likely, I met her already, but I can't remember how close we are," she mused.
"Oh, what is the little sister thinking about?" Bianka said, placing a cup of coffee in front of Kiana.
"Sis? May I know how rich we are?" Kiana asked.
"Oh? Are you interested? I can still remember how you shouted at Dad that you're not getting married, so you don't need to allocate money to me when you die. It still makes me laugh, hahaha," Bianka said, smiling beautifully.
When Kiana saw her, she was stunned by how beautiful her sister was. She walked over to Bianka's side.
"What's the matter?" Bianka asked, then suddenly Kiana hugged her tightly.
"Eh? What's wrong?" Bianka asked, confused.
"My big sister is just so beautiful," Kiana said.
"Well, because of you, I haven't taken care of myself," Bianka replied.
"What do you mean?" Kiana asked as she went back to her seat.
"Since you declined the right to succession of the Kaslana Conglomerate, I've been forced to inherit it," Bianka explained.
"Well, the position is too much work," Kiana said. "But I don't remember it. I'm sorry for all the troubles," Kiana added as she bowed.
"Oh? Is this one of the character changes the doctor mentioned?" Bianka asked.
"I think not," Kiana said.
"Why do you say that?" Bianka asked.
"When you said that I forced you to take the position of the next head of the company, my heart hurt," Kiana explained.
"I see. Don't worry, I enjoyed it," Bianka reassured Kiana. "Anyway, you'd better get ready, or you'll be late for school," Bianka said, surprising Kiana.
"Right," Kiana said as she stood up and prepared herself, leaving Bianka alone.
"Help her," Bianka commanded the maids.
After some time, the head maid approached Bianka. "Bianka-sama, we should start."
"Indeed," Bianka replied, standing up.
Just then, Kiana arrived in her school uniform. "Big Sister? Are you going outside?" Kiana asked.
"No, I have to change my appearance," Bianka said.
"Huh?" Kiana exclaimed.
"I'm dyeing my hair blonde again so that I won't get into any accidents," Bianka explained.
"I see. I bet you look good in everything," Kiana said.
"Thank you," Bianka replied.
"Then I should go," Kiana said.
"Have a good time at school," Bianka said.
"Don't worry, Big Sis," Kiana replied as she entered her car and headed to school.
