Kiana saw the St. Freya High and was taken aback by how majestic it looked. "So this is St. Freya," she said.
"Is there something wrong, Princess?" the driver asked.
"What do you mean?" Kiana replied.
"Well," the driver hesitated.
"Don't worry, I've been thinking about a lot of things lately," Kiana reassured him.
"Then I don't have to worry," the driver said.
Kiana's luxurious and eye-catching car drew attention. As the driver got out and opened the door for her, everyone was surprised to see Kiana. After some time, Kiana sat at her desk when a student approached her.
"Hey, Idiot Kiana, what's with the sudden change of aura?" the student said.
"Oh, it's you, Bronya," Kiana said, looking at Bronya.
"What's with that?" Bronya asked.
"What? Does it not look good?" Kiana said, touching her hair.
"Well, in that style, I think you look more mature than usual," Bronya said.
"I see. Thanks," Kiana said, turning back to the window.
"Is there something wrong?" Bronya asked.
"There's nothing wrong. I just realized something while resting at the hospital," Kiana said.
"Teacher Himeko told us what happened. It's good that you're safe. Just don't do it again," Bronya said.
"Mei Senpai is worried sick," Bronya said. "She's blaming herself for the accident."
"I see. I'll talk to her later," Kiana replied.
"Is this the result of the accident?" Bronya thought to herself as the bell rang. Soon after, the teacher entered the room.
"Welcome back, Ms. Kaslana," the teacher said.
"Thank you, teacher," Kiana responded.
After the small exchange, the class started. Kate, in Kiana's body, studied seriously, occasionally asking questions and answering the teacher's queries, which surprised both her teachers and classmates.
After some time, the bell rang, indicating it was time for lunch.
After the bell rang, Mei entered Kiana's classroom. "Where's Kiana-chan?" she asked, her presence commanding attention as the students referred to her as the Queen of Thunder.
"Ms. Raiden, Ms. Kaslana left as soon as the bell rang," a student answered.
"I see, thanks," Mei said, looking disappointed as she walked away. "Is she in the cafeteria?" Mei asked herself, visibly sad.
Meanwhile, Kiana was laying down on a bench on the rooftop, staring at the sky. "What are you doing here?" Bronya asked as she opened the door to the rooftop.
"I'm thinking about what to do next," Kiana said as Bronya walked towards her and sat at the end of Kiana's bench.
"You're not like yourself," Bronya said.
"Indeed, the doctor said that my amnesia is the cause of my behavior change," Kiana replied.
"Mei-senpai is searching for you," Bronya said.
"I don't want to meet her," Kiana said, surprising Bronya.
"What?" Bronya asked, bewildered. "Looks like Idiot Kiana should go back to the hospital. Should I call an ambulance?"
"No, the amnesia I was referring to is about Mei-senpai," Kiana said.
"What do you mean?" Bronya asked.
"I... I don't remember anything about her. I'm scared," Kiana said, worry etched on her face. This surprised Bronya, prompting her to delete the message to contact Mei.
"You mean you don't remember anything about her at all?" Bronya asked.
"Yes," Kiana replied as she sat back up. "Enough about that. I should eat; I still have classes."
Kiana returned to her classroom, her mind preoccupied. "I decided not to eat, but I realized that it's not a good idea. I didn't know this body required a lot of food," she thought to herself as she walked straight to her seat at the very back by the window, exuding a cold aura.
"Hey, isn't Ms. Kaslana acting a bit strange?" one of the students said.
"Yeah, did you know someone said that Ms. Raiden is searching for her?" another student replied.
"Yeah, someone said they didn't even meet at all," added a third student.
"But Ms. Kaslana's new style is perfect. Her very long white hair and cold expression make her look like an Ice Queen," another student remarked.
"I like her normal attitude more. You could see that she was very happy and more outgoing, which made her more approachable, even if her family is the richest in the whole world," a student replied.
"Plus, she didn't take studying seriously, which just made her more likable," another student added.
Hearing all of this, Kiana sat at her desk silently, looking outside. "The quest panel hasn't shown itself at all. Looks like the main quest is what that mysterious being said: distance and completely avoid Raiden Mei," Kiana thought to herself as the bell rang, signaling the start of the afternoon class.
In another classroom, Raiden Mei was being cheered up by her classmates. "It's okay, maybe she just needs a little time to get accustomed again in St. Freya," one of Mei's friends said, comforting her.
"She's right. But someone saw Ms. Kaslana and the exchange student together coming down from the rooftop," another friend added.
"Bronya-chan?" Mei asked.
"Yes, that's her name. One of my friends told it to me when we were walking toward the classroom," the friend replied.
"I see," Mei responded, looking a little sad, which prompted her friends to comfort her more.
"Maybe she was just helping her and giving a tour to Ms. Kaslana since she had amnesia," her friend suggested.
Realizing that her friends were trying to comfort her, Mei smiled. "Thanks, everyone, but the teacher is about to arrive, so we should get back to our seats," she said. Her friends returned to their seats, bidding Mei goodbye.
"I wonder what's going on," Mei thought to herself, thinking about Kiana. "It's my fault why she ended up getting hit by a car," Mei lamented internally as the teacher entered the room.
After some time in Kiana's classroom, everyone was impressed by Kiana's sudden changes as she answered the teacher's questions correctly and asked about things she didn't understand. When the bell rang, signaling the end of the class, one of her classmates invited her to have fun.
"Ms. Kaslana, you looked down. Would you like to come with us and have fun?" one of Kiana's classmates asked.
"I'm sorry, due to the recent accident, I was told to refrain from such actions," Kiana replied. Her classmates agreed but assured her she was always welcome to join in the future.
"Thanks, everyone," Kiana said as she stood up and prepared to leave. However, Bronya stopped her.
"I thought that idiot Kiana was going to talk to Mei?" Bronya said.
"I don't remember saying I would talk to her today," Kiana responded. "But you're right, I must tell her as soon as possible to avoid misunderstandings," she added, surprising Bronya.
"That's pretty adult of you," Bronya remarked.
"Then, can you let go of me now?" Kiana asked, looking down at the seated Bronya. Bronya, feeling a bit scared, released her grip as Kiana walked past her.
"This Kiana is really different. She let her hair fall, which only amplified her cold attitude and face. I wonder what happened," Bronya thought to herself.
Kiana walked out of the room, contemplating how to handle the situation with Mei. As she approached the school gate, she saw Mei waiting for her. When Mei spotted her, a huge smile spread across her face, causing Kiana's heart to falter as Mei ran towards her.
"Kiana-chan! I finally met you," Mei said eagerly.
"Is there a problem, Ms. Raiden?" Kiana responded, looking coldly at Mei. Her tone and demeanor surprised Mei.
"I-It's good that you recovered quickly," Mei stammered, hurt by Kiana's coldness.
"I wanted to thank you for saving me, so I wanted to invite you to hang out sometime?" Mei mustered her feelings and asked Kiana, but to her surprise, Kiana didn't react at all.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Raiden, but I'm busy," Kiana said coldly, bowing slightly before walking past Mei. This interaction was noticed by other students who were about to go home.
As Kiana reached the school gate, her car arrived. She entered the car and saw Mei staring at her with a sad expression. As the car drove away, Kiana reached into her pocket and took out her phone.
"Sebastian?" Kiana called out.
"What is it, Princess?" Sebastian, Kiana's driver, replied.
"Disable my phone," Kiana ordered. She then lowered the car window and threw her phone out. In the distance, Mei continued to stare at Kiana's car as it drove away.
"Kiana-chan..." Mei thought to herself, noticing something being thrown out of the car.
Mei ran towards the spot where she saw something shiny. When she arrived, she found Kiana's phone still in pristine condition. Noticing the matching keychain with her own phone, Mei felt a pang of sadness. As she picked up the phone, Bronya approached her.
"Are you okay, Mei-chan?" Bronya asked.
Unable to contain her emotions, Mei started to cry. "What-what's going on?" she asked Bronya.
Bronya hugged Mei to comfort her. "That idiot had amnesia, resulting in behavior changes. It might be because of that," Bronya explained.
A car pulled up in front of them, and the driver immediately ran towards them. "Oujo-sama!" the driver shouted.
"She's okay," Bronya said. "Open the door," she commanded, and the driver complied. Bronya helped Mei into the car, and the two of them went home together.
Meanwhile, in Kiana's car, Sebastian noticed her distress. "Princess, what's wrong? You look sad," Sebastian asked.
"I'm okay. I just need a little time," Kiana replied.
"Since this morning, the Princess hasn't smiled a bit, so we're worried," Sebastian said gently.
"I said I'm okay, so don't worry," Kiana insisted, looking out the window with a heavy heart.
After some time, Kiana arrived home. "Woahh!" Kiana exclaimed as she saw Bianka. "You look great!" she said, running towards her sister.
Bianka, now resembling Durandal from the game, smiled. "Really? Thanks," she replied. "How was school?"
"It was alright, still boring," Kiana said.
"I thought it wouldn't be boring anymore since you met Ms. Raiden?" Bianka teased.
"That was last year. Plus, I'm currently trying to change myself," Kiana said, surprising Bianka.
"What? Did you get rejected?" Bianka joked, clinging to Kiana's arm. She looked at Kiana's face and was taken aback by her cold expression. "What's wrong?" Bianka asked.
"I- I don't remember Mei at all," Kiana admitted, her voice trembling.
Bianka hugged Kiana to comfort her. "I'll sleep with you tonight and tell you what I know," Bianka said, hoping to ease her sister's burden.
After a long time, the twins were ready to go to sleep. "Little sis, are you still up?" Bianka asked.
"Yes," Kiana replied.
"You met Ms. Raiden last year and became close to her immediately," Bianka began. "You comforted her because her dad's company, the ME Company, was failing at the time. You helped her by forcing Dad to buy it."
"I see," Kiana said softly.
"We helped her dad's company recover, and this made you two so close. Later on, in mid-2nd semester, you told me that you loved her. You talked about her all the time. Until two months ago, you two went out to buy things and have fun. Suddenly, someone almost hit Ms. Raiden, but you pulled her out of the way. The momentum made you two exchange positions, and you got hit by the car, causing your amnesia," Bianka explained.
"I see, so that's how it is," Kiana said.
"She came here multiple times, and I could see that you two were having fun along with Bronya-chan. I don't know what happened, but I know that you'll do your best to resolve it," Bianka said.
"I- I'm planning on distancing myself from her," Kiana said, surprising Bianka.
"Why?" Bianka asked.
"I don't really remember her. For me, the one she knows isn't here anymore," Kiana explained. "But you can start by being friends again, right?" Bianka asked.
"I can't face her. It always pops into my head that everything she does isn't really for me, it's for the Kiana she knew in the past," Kiana explained further. "It's a me problem."
"I see. I don't really know how it feels because I haven't experienced it, but I know that you can do it. Just don't forget that you're hurting her too," Bianka said.
"I'll try," Kiana replied, feeling a bit more at ease but still uncertain about the future.
