After a month in Lilith's classes, Kate thought to herself, "The Demon Lord Candidate hasn't arrived yet." Suddenly, Lilith called her name. "What is it, Lilith Sensei?" Kate replied immediately.
"What's going on with your hair?" Lilith asked.
"What do you mean, Sensei?" Kate replied.
"There's a patch of white hair on top of your head," Lilith said. "Are you experimenting on something or is it due to stress?"
"On the top of my head?" Kate asked, touching her head.
"Yeah," Lilith replied.
"I don't know either," Kate responded nonchalantly.
"Just tell me if you need something, okay?" Lilith said with concern.
"I will, Lilith Sensei," Kate assured her.
"My hair is turning white?" Kate thought to herself. "What's going on?"
Kate decided to investigate and entered her Knowledge Sea. "What is going on with my body?" she said aloud when she saw the energy mixed with multiple colors.
"The blue-colored sea should be my cultivator's energy, the True Qi," Kate noted. "But what is that black-violet water? Is that the technique's Qi manifestation from the 'I'm an Evil God' universe? Is it the True Art of Morro?" She observed further. "These floating golden particles are the Gate of Babylon, and I suspect the white water is the mana from the Trinity Seven's world. That black thing with red energy flowing through it must be the Demon Lord Element?"
As she touched the True Qi, she was surprised. "Since when did I reach the Transcended Realm?" she exclaimed.
Kate sighed deeply. "I don't understand my powers anymore," she muttered. "First, I need to resolve this issue. It seems like it's damaging my soul." She remembered, "It's good that I have the Soul Warming Lotus with me. My powers are contradicting each other, and it's taking a toll on my body. I need to do something about it."
She returned to her body and finished the class diligently. While walking in the hallway, Kate was preoccupied with her thoughts. "How should I resolve this problem? Should I copy the Flawless Purifying Lotus?" she pondered.
Suddenly, Kate felt something terrible. "What is this feeling?" she thought, but decided to put it aside. "Enough about that. Let's go outside and practice," she thought, quickening her pace.
At her usual practice spot, Kate noticed someone waiting for her. "Is it that person?" she thought. Approaching, she greeted, "Ms. Arin, what are you doing here?"
"Lilith Sensei told me you've picked the Luxuria Archive?" Arin responded.
"Why would a Trinity Seven member be interested in my Archive?" Kate asked.
"I saw you practice here yesterday and got interested, that's why," Arin answered promptly.
"So, do you have lessons for me?" Kate asked.
"No, I heard that you planned to battle with us Trinity Seven and with our Grimoires on the line," Arin said.
"Yes, I plan to do that," Kate replied immediately. "Once I beat you, you will let me read your research on your Archive and Thema."
"I see," Arin said, starting to walk away. "This should be enough."
"What for?" Kate asked.
"Let's fight. I know you have a monstrous amount of Mana, but that's just it," Arin said.
"Why would you want to fight me, a nobody?" Kate asked.
"I can sense a strong power from you," Arin said.
"Did she use the power of the Yggdrasil unknowingly?" Kate thought to herself. "Well, she's this universe's priestess, so that is possible," she mused.
"I'm going to execute my Thema, connecting to the Ira Archive," Arin said, transforming into her Magus Mode.
"What the- she's really doing this!" Kate exclaimed.
"My Thema is Ruina, so get ready," Arin said, her voice firm. "Are you going to enter your Magus Mode?" she asked.
"Tch!" Kate gritted her teeth. "Let's go!" she shouted, dashing at Arin.
"I don't know what will happen if I use my Magus Mode. Let's fight her with my cultivation first," Kate thought to herself, bracing for the clash.
Kate grabbed Arin's right hand as soon as she reached her. "SO FAST!" Arin exclaimed.
Kate punched Arin in the gut and threw her behind immediately. "That should be it," Kate said, looking in Arin's direction. "It's good that I managed to take her by surprise."
Suddenly, Kate realized the force of her throw. "I accidentally threw her at the school!" she said, flying into the air and hovering while looking down at Arin.
Arin, slowly getting up, looked more determined than ever. "You're stronger than I thought, but this isn't over," she declared, preparing herself for the next move.
"Take my palm!" Kate said, raising her hand. A huge yellow hand appeared in the sky, ready to fall on Arin.
"Eihwaz," Arin cast a defensive spell. The yellow hand crashed down, but Arin managed to carve a hole in its middle. "I broke the front of the school," Kate thought, seeing Arin standing in the palm-shaped crater. "She managed to block it."
"This will be quite hard," Arin thought, aiming her hand at Kate. A magic circle formed. "Tiwaz," she said, shooting a magic energy capable of destroying boulders. Kate slapped it away, redirecting it easily.
"How can she do that?" Arin said, astonished.
As the two stared at each other, they heard a voice. "What is going on?" Lilith asked.
"Lilith Sensei, we're fighting for our Grimoires," Kate explained. "Once I beat her, I'll learn her research."
"Why would you want to do that?" Lilith asked.
"I want to use the Ira Archive too," Kate said, surprising everyone.
Kate flew towards Arin, who tried to cast a spell but was stopped by golden chains. "What the-" Arin said, struggling against the chains to no effect. "What's up with this chain? It can make my magic wild."
Kate landed in front of her, realizing she could fake it. She smiled and shouted, "REALIZE!" A single Gate of Babylon (GoB) opened above her palm, and Dingir emerged. "With Dingir, I can use the wands inside the Gate of Babylon," she thought, opening ten gates circling the trapped Arin.
"This is bad," Arin thought as ten Noble Phantasm staffs peeked out of the gates.
"Fire!" Kate shouted. The ten Noble Phantasms bombarded Arin. After a short time, Kate stopped the bombardment and saw Arin lying down, wounded and passed out. "That's good," Kate said, glancing at the roof of the school.
"Once I finish studying the Ira Archive, I'll come for you next!" Kate shouted, seeing the remaining Trinity Seven members, except Lilith, standing on the roof.
A new magical screen popped up in front of Kate, catching her off guard. "Your tasks have arrived," she read aloud. "You just need to defeat the Trinity Seven, and your current powers will stay. Bonus: Defeat the Demon Lord Candidate, and you will be able to keep one of your current buffs."
Kate's eyes widened in surprise. "This just got a lot more interesting," she thought, her mind racing with the possibilities. "Looks like I have even more motivation to push forward now." With a determined smile, Kate prepared herself for the challenges ahead.
The next day, Kate was resting in her room, her thoughts consumed by the recent developments. "I don't care about the powers I'll be able to keep," she mused. "What I want now is the buff the Double Magical Capacity. With that, my overall energy will increase."
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Who is it?" Kate called out.
"It's me, Lilith. Arin is with me too," came the reply.
Kate immediately opened the door, allowing Lilith and Arin to enter. After a brief exchange, Lilith spoke up, "We're here to explain and teach the Ira Archive, so get ready."
"Yes, Lilith-sensei," Kate replied, a determined glint in her eye as she prepared for the next phase of her journey.
After a month of intense study, Arin concluded, "And that's it. Your understanding is on par with mine. I can't believe it, you're very talented."
"Thanks," Kate replied, grateful for the compliment.
"But is your hair okay?" Arin asked, concern in her voice. "The whiteness has already reached your shoulders."
"It's all good," Kate reassured with a smile. "I just need to strengthen my body."
Suddenly, a loud explosion shook the area. "What!" they both exclaimed in unison.
"This is Yui's magic," Arin quickly assessed. "Looks like she's targeting you."
"Then I'll take her on," Kate said, determination flaring in her eyes as the two of them rushed outside, ready to face the new challenge.
The wall beside Kate and Arin suddenly exploded, sending debris flying. "ANOTHER ONE!" Kate exclaimed, quickly flying to the end of the hallway. "Did I just get hit?" she wondered, realizing that the automatic defense system of the Gate of Babylon had activated.
"Yo! Your reaction time is way better than mine," Akio said, appearing from the smoke.
"You- you're one of the Trinity Seven, the holder of the Gula Archive!" Kate recognized her.
"Correct," Akio confirmed with a smirk. "Looks like you'll be able to beat us sooner or later, so I decided to attack you now since I'm busy."
A single Gate of Babylon opened beside Kate. "Then you can perish now!" Kate shouted, grabbing Sul-Sagana, a divine construct, and swinging it horizontally.
The moment Kate wielded Sul-Sagana, a shiver ran down the spines of everyone nearby. The entire second floor of the school was consumed in flames, reduced to nothingness where Kate's attack had struck.
"WHAT THE HELL!" the rest of the Trinity Seven shouted in unison, staring in shock at the devastation Kate had just unleashed.
As the school continued to burn, its structure cut in half by Kate's devastating attack, the intensity of the scene only grew. Kate, holding Sul-Sagana in her right hand and Dingir in her left, walked steadily towards the front of the school. Above her, a colossal Gate of Babylon opened in the sky ten times larger than the entire school. Magic staffs began to emerge from the massive gate, their power radiating across the landscape.
"Since you all have decided, let's make this quick," Kate declared, her voice steady and confident. "I will show you a power that exists only in the legends of this world."
As she walked, the Trinity Seven watched in awe and fear. "Here she comes," Lilith said, her voice tense. "Our plan to tire her out didn't work."
"Did you all feel it when she pulled out that sword?" Akio asked, her voice edged with concern.
"Yeah," the others replied in unison, the unease evident in their tones.
"That sword... Is it on the same level, or even higher, than the Demon Lord's weapon?" Lieselotte wondered aloud, her eyes fixed on the ominous blade.
Then they saw Dingir in Kate's left hand. "What is that?" Akio asked, her voice filled with uncertainty. "Is that a Grimoire?" Lilith added, but before they could get answers, the enormous Gate of Babylon fully materialized in the sky.
"Wha-what the...?" the Trinity Seven muttered as despair began to set in, the sheer scale and power of Kate's display overwhelming them.
Kate's confidence grew as she surveyed the Trinity Seven before her. "The Trinity Seven in front of me is not that strong yet," she mused, knowing that their full potential hadn't been realized because the main character of their universe had yet to arrive. "Their character development hasn't happened yet."
But before she could finish her thought, she felt a sudden rush of energy—a quick ambush. Levi, the ninja of the Trinity Seven, lunged at Kate with her sword, but a blade from the Gate of Babylon blocked the attack with ease.
"I know who you are, Ninja," Kate said calmly as the Sul-Sagana in her hand slowly dissolved into golden dust.
"Who are you?" Levi asked, her voice sharp and probing.
"I'm an Adventurer," Kate replied coolly as she pulled out a magic staff from the Gate of Babylon. She quickly locked Levi in place with Enkidu, the chain of the gods, restraining the ninja with unyielding force.
"Better luck next time," Kate said, her tone icy as she pointed the head of the staff close to Levi. "Begone."
With a cold glare, Kate watched as Levi struggled briefly before suddenly vanishing. The other members of the Trinity Seven were shocked.
"Wha-where is she?" Lilith exclaimed.
"Did she manage to get away?" Lieselotte asked, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Of course not," Kate replied with a faint smirk as she lifted the staff, revealing a small crystal at the top. "Look at the crystal on top of the staff she's here, sleeping."
The others stared in disbelief, realizing that Kate had not only overpowered Levi but also captured her essence within the crystal.
The air was thick with tension as Kate stood at the epicenter of the Trinity Seven's assault, the burning ruins of the school casting an ominous glow across the battlefield. The massive Gate of Babylon loomed overhead, its dark expanse brimming with countless legendary weapons and ancient artifacts, all poised at Kate's command. The remaining members of the Trinity Seven encircled her, their grim determination evident in their eyes.
"This ends now," Lilith declared, aiming her rifle at Kate. The others nodded in agreement, each of them activating their own unique powers, their bodies glowing with the energy of their respective Archives. They knew that the longer they allowed Kate to maintain her advantage, the more likely it was that she would overwhelm them completely.
Kate's eyes narrowed as she assessed her opponents. She could sense their combined power, the sheer force of their magical abilities converging on her. But she wasn't intimidated. If anything, she was exhilarated. "You think you can take me down? I'll show you what true power looks like."
With a flick of her wrist, Kate summoned a dozen Noble Phantasms from the Gate of Babylon, each one a weapon of myth and legend. They hovered around her, shimmering with deadly energy, before shooting forward with blinding speed. The Trinity Seven scattered, barely avoiding the barrage.
Lilith, quick on her feet, countered with a barrage of energy blasts from her rifle, each one aimed with deadly precision. Kate deflected them effortlessly with a wave of her hand, the energy dissipating harmlessly against an invisible barrier.
"You'll have to do better than that," Kate taunted, her voice calm and confident.
Akio charged forward, her sword blazing with power as she swung it down toward Kate. But before she could make contact, Enkidu, the chains of heaven, erupted from the ground, binding her in place. Akio struggled against the chains, her muscles straining as she tried to break free.
"What is this?!" Akio growled, her eyes wide with shock.
"Enkidu," Kate replied coolly, "The chains that bind even the gods. You won't be going anywhere."
Lieselotte, seeing her comrade trapped, unleashed a wave of dark energy toward Kate, aiming to overwhelm her with sheer force. But Kate merely raised her hand, summoning a shield of light that absorbed the attack. With a casual flick, she redirected the energy back at Lieselotte, who barely managed to dodge.
Arin, having regained her composure, unleashed her Ira Archive, summoning a massive burst of destructive energy aimed directly at Kate. The attack was powerful enough to level the entire battlefield, and Arin was confident it would force Kate to retreat.
But Kate stood her ground. As the energy blast bore down on her, she raised her staff and channeled her Qi, merging it with the magical energy of the Trinity Seven's universe. The combination of energies formed a radiant barrier that absorbed the impact of Arin's attack, leaving Kate unscathed.
"Impressive," Kate said, her voice steady. "But not enough."
With a swift motion, Kate activated the full power of the Gate of Babylon. Hundreds of Noble Phantasms emerged, each one crackling with energy as they shot toward the Trinity Seven. The sheer number and power of the weapons forced the Trinity Seven onto the defensive, each of them struggling to block, dodge, or counter the onslaught.
Lilith attempted to take cover, but a spear of light grazed her shoulder, sending her stumbling back. Akio, still bound by Enkidu, could only watch as a blade narrowly missed her head. Lieselotte conjured a protective barrier around herself, but the constant barrage began to wear it down.
Kate didn't let up. She summoned Sul-Sagana once more, its divine presence amplifying the power of her attacks. With a mighty swing, she sent a wave of golden energy surging toward her opponents. The blast was so powerful that it shattered the remaining defenses of the Trinity Seven, sending them sprawling across the battlefield.
Breathing heavily, Lilith struggled to her feet, her body bruised and battered. "We can't… hold her back… like this…"
Kate smirked, her eyes gleaming with victory. "This is the difference between us. You're strong, but I'm beyond anything you've faced before."
But just as Kate was about to deliver the finishing blow, a sudden surge of energy erupted from the sky. The Trinity Seven's combined power, fueled by their desperation, created a massive vortex of magic that began to draw in the surrounding energy, including the weapons from the Gate of Babylon.
Kate's eyes widened as she realized what was happening. The Trinity Seven were attempting to turn her own power against her, using the energy from the Gate to amplify their own abilities.
"Clever," Kate muttered, a hint of admiration in her voice. "But it won't be enough."
Summoning every ounce of her power, Kate unleashed a final, devastating attack. The ground beneath her cracked and shattered as she released a torrent of energy from the Gate of Babylon, channeling it through Sul-Sagana. The energy surged forward, clashing with the vortex created by the Trinity Seven.
For a moment, the battlefield was bathed in blinding light as the two forces collided, each one pushing against the other. The air hummed with power, the very fabric of reality straining under the immense pressure.
And then, with a thunderous explosion, the vortex shattered, unable to withstand the combined might of Kate's attack. The resulting shockwave sent the Trinity Seven flying, their bodies slamming into the ground with bone-jarring force.
When the dust finally settled, Kate stood alone in the center of the battlefield, her body surrounded by a faint aura of golden light. The Trinity Seven lay defeated, their bodies battered and bruised, but alive.
Kate sighed, lowering Sul-Sagana as the Gate of Babylon slowly closed above her. "You fought well," she said, her voice softening. "But this is where it ends."
As she walked away from the battlefield, Kate glanced back at the fallen Trinity Seven. She knew they would recover, and when they did, they would be stronger for it. But for now, she had won.
And with that victory, she was one step closer to achieving her ultimate goal.
