Inside the Void Corridor, Kate soared effortlessly, her senses alert as the faint turbulence barely fazed her.
"The Void Turbulence is so weak," Kate thought. "Yang Kai must have stabilized this place, knowing I'd enter too."
After a month of traveling, Kate finally emerged on the other side, stepping into the vast and ominous Ink Battlefield.
"I knew you'd come," Yang Kai greeted her, standing amidst a small pile of Profound Valley Spirit Fruits.
"You want to copy these?" he asked, gesturing to the fruits. "I heard they can repair the Small Universe."
Without a word, Kate began her copying technique. As Yang Kai observed, another identical pile of fruits materialized beside the original.
"No matter how many times I see this, I'm still impressed by your divine ability," Yang Kai remarked, his tone filled with admiration.
Kate remained silent for a moment before asking, "You have Ink Force on you, right? Can you give me some?"
"Yeah, I can give you some," Yang Kai replied, activating his Small Universe, which opened behind him.
Kate, however, only opened a small fragment of her Small Universe, manifesting it as a hovering sphere in her palm. Yang Kai condensed a wisp of Ink Force into black smoke, which quickly entered Kate's miniature universe.
"Thanks," Kate said curtly.
"What are your plans?" Yang Kai asked curiously.
"I'll introduce the Ink Clan to my boss and make them accept me," Kate replied nonchalantly, her tone carrying a hint of mischief.
"Your boss?" Yang Kai asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.
Kate smirked. "The King of Hell. You want to meet him?"
Yang Kai's eyes widened, momentarily speechless at her audacious claim.
As the two sensed new arrivals, Kate abruptly attacked Yang Kai, catching him off guard and causing a small explosion.
"What are you doing?!" Yang Kai shouted, surprised and disoriented.
"I WILL NEVER BETRAY MY RACE!" Kate screamed, her voice echoing through the battlefield.
The commotion drew the attention of nearby Ink Clan members and Ink Disciples, who quickly began searching for them.
"Huh, is she trying to trick the Ink Clan?" Yang Kai thought, narrowing his eyes as he watched Kate fly away.
After some time, Kate was intercepted by a group of Ink Disciples and an Ink Clan Feudal Lord.
"A human?" the Feudal Lord sneered.
"A Feudal Lord?" Kate muttered, her eyes narrowing.
"Human, you'd better surrender," the Feudal Lord commanded.
Kate smirked, opening a Golden Gate of Babylon beside her, from which the Black Handle of Twilight emerged.
"Over my dead body," Kate replied coldly, grasping the weapon and aiming it at the Feudal Lord.
"She's a High-Rank Open Heaven Master! You all, tire her out!" the Feudal Lord barked at his Ink Disciples.
"Four Mid-Rank Open Heaven Masters? They're just ants," Kate scoffed as she effortlessly dispatched the four Ink Disciples. Her sword pulsed with energy, devouring the Evil Energy from their bodies.
"I WORKED HARD TO COLLECT THEM! ONCE I DEFEAT YOU, I'LL TURN YOU INTO A SLAVE!" the Feudal Lord roared, charging at Kate in a frenzy.
Kate responded by creating a violet transparent wall between them.
"What?!" the Feudal Lord exclaimed in shock as his momentum was halted.
Suddenly, Twilight glowed revealing Kate poised to strike. Before the Feudal Lord could react, the wall split into two, creating an opening for Kate to unleash a devastating chop with Twilight.
"Is… is she… an Eight-Rank Master?" the Feudal Lord gasped with his final, fading breath as he was
After the fight, Kate flew swiftly toward the exit of the Void Corridor, her determination unwavering.
"I want to be the Royal Lord's Ink Disciple," she muttered, her voice firm as her speed left shockwaves in her wake.
After some time, Kate finally emerged from the Void Corridor and gazed upon the Ink Battlefield. The desolate expanse stretched endlessly in every direction, barren and lifeless, shrouded in a thick haze of Ink Force.
Hovering at the entrance high in the sky, Kate scanned the land below. A lone city stood amidst the wasteland, its ominous aura drawing her attention.
"It's time. The Royal Lord should be close by," Kate thought as she began her descent toward the city.
Landing gracefully, she surveyed her surroundings. Memories of the battlefield stirred in her mind.
"If I remember correctly, the Royal Lord should be hiding in the battlefield near Blue Sky Pass," she mused. "Looks like my initial plan has failed."
Letting out a sigh, Kate turned her gaze toward the horizon.
"Then I'll head to Blue Sky Pass for now... or wander around this forsaken land," she decided before soaring into the vast expanse once more.
After a month of rigorous cultivation, Kate reflected on her progress as she sped through the void with blinding speed.
"Right now, my battle strength should allow me to contend with a Peak 8-Rank Open Heaven Master. And in a life-and-death battle... I might even stand a chance against a 9-Rank Open Heaven Master. At least, I hope so," she thought, her expression determined.
Two years passed. Kate sighed in frustration as she darted through the barren Ink Battlefield.
"I've been traveling for a year, making a few turns here and there... and I'm still lost!" she shouted, her voice echoing across the desolate terrain.
Suddenly, an explosion thundered in the distance. Excitement lit up her eyes as she immediately flew toward the source.
"Finally!" Kate thought eagerly. But when she arrived, her excitement turned into disbelief.
"This... this is the same camp I came from two years ago!" she exclaimed, her tone filled with exasperation. Below her, she spotted Yang Kai engaged in battle with several Ink Clan members.
"Wait... this is an opportunity," Kate murmured as she concealed herself among the retreating Ink Disciples. She watched carefully as Feng Ying slayed multiple Ink Clan members with ease.
"For now, I'd better hide myself," Kate thought, staying out of sight while the battle unfolded. After some time, a surge of World Force swept through the area, causing her to perk up.
"Is it starting?" she whispered as she peeked out to see Yang Kai and Feng Ying having a conversation.
"Looks like it's my time to follow them... until they reach Blue Sky Pass," she decided. As her body shimmered and vanished from sight, she smirked.
"This is a new technique of mine," Kate thought to herself. "I created it, inspired by Yang Kai's Nihility, fused with the Mantra of the Inner Demons of the Six Desires."
After a long time of tailing the group, Kate finally laid eyes on Blue Sky Pass.
"Finally! I can resume my plan," she thought, a grin forming as she approached the battlefield. But she stopped mid-flight.
"If I remember correctly, the Royal Lord should be hiding here somewhere. When Yang Kai tried to promote to the 7th Rank, he managed to lure out the Royal Lord," Kate mused. She quickly turned around.
"I'd better hide myself first and only come out when the Royal Lord reveals himself," she decided, retreating to a cave not far from the Blue Sky Pass battlefield.
Inside Kate's Small Universe, Dr. Mei was overseeing the construction of new buildings when she suddenly felt Kate's presence.
"Huh? When did everything develop so much? And why are there so many people here?" Kate asked, astonished, as she surveyed the bustling activity.
Dr. Mei flew over to welcome her. "Milady, it's good that you're back. The progress has been quite rapid, thanks to these new arrivals," she reported.
"Where did they come from?" Kate asked.
"They came out of the enormous tree Milady planted," Dr. Mei replied, a hint of confusion in her tone.
"Huh?" Kate's curiosity deepened as she flew toward the massive tree. When she saw it, she froze in shock.
"This... is this that tree's sub-tree?" she muttered, examining its radiant leaves. "It even has universes growing on its branches."
"I investigated these universes," Dr. Mei explained. "I entered one and told the inhabitants about their situation. They happily followed me."
"Should I not have done that?" Dr. Mei asked, worried.
Kate shook her head. "No, as long as it helps you, it's fine."
"Thank you, Milady. I'll return to my work," Dr. Mei said as she flew off.
Kate perched herself on a massive branch, her mind turning inward.
"I feel like I've gained more divine abilities due to the mysteries of my Yin-Yang and Five Elements resources," she mused.
After four months, Kate was abruptly pulled from her contemplation by a disturbance outside. She left her Small Universe immediately.
"There it is. This is the moment the Royal Lord is about to act," she thought as she sped toward the battlefield.
She landed with a resounding explosion, her arrival devastating countless Low and Mid-Rank Ink Clan members. As the dust settled, a GoB opened beside her, and the hilt of the Twilight Sword emerged. Grasping it firmly, Kate performed a slash toward the incoming Ink Clan and Ink Disciples.
An arc of energy flew forth, seemingly harmless at first. But moments later, the space along its trajectory fractured, splitting apart along with everything it struck.
Kate surged forward, her movements merciless and efficient. She slaughtered Ink Clan members one after another, sparing no one, her power far exceeding that of an ordinary 7th Rank Open Heaven master.
Meanwhile, atop the Wall of Blue Sky Pass, Commander Zhong Liang observed the battle.
"Who is that?" he asked, his gaze fixed on the overwhelming momentum displayed by the lone figure.
"With power like that—" Zhong Liang stopped mid-sentence, a sense of unease washing over him.
"I've killed about thousands of them, but they seem endless," Kate thought to herself, her expression grim as her movements slowed slightly. Suddenly, a Territory Lord loomed before her.
"Human, you're quite enjoying this, aren't you?" the Territory Lord said, sneering before launching a powerful attack.
"Crap!" Kate exclaimed as she was struck by a massive hand, the impact sending her crashing into the ground.
"Ack!" she cried as she hit the ground, creating a large crater. The Territory Lord didn't give her time to recover, following up with relentless strikes. Kate managed to block most of the attacks, but her injuries were severe.
"YOU INK DOGS!!" Kate shouted, her voice ringing across the battlefield. In a desperate counterattack, she summoned thousands of Gates of Babylon, each one brimming with destructive power, and bombarded the Ink Clan and even some of the Human Race's troops caught in the chaos.
"WHAT—WHAT KIND OF DIVINE ABILITY IS THAT?!" someone from the wall shouted, awe and fear mingling in their voice.
Not long after, Kate withdrew from the battlefield, her injuries catching up with her. "I managed to kill a lot this time. I think I've eradicated their army," she thought, trying to steady her breathing.
As she fled, Yang Kai flew alongside her, giving her a thumbs up. "Good job. Nice save," he said, smiling despite his own weariness.
Feng Ying approached, her eyes wide with admiration. "That was magnificent!" she exclaimed.
But before they could celebrate further, a massive palm suddenly struck them both.
"HOW DARE YOU HUMANS RUIN MY PLANS!" a thundering voice echoed. The Royal Lord had arrived.
Kate and Yang Kai, bloodied and battered, struggled to rise as Feng Ying screamed, "YOU TWO, RUN!" Her face was pale with fear.
"This is bad," Feng Ying thought, panic gripping her. "Someone who can purify the Ink Clan and someone who can kill an army are both about to die."
Steeling herself, Feng Ying decided, "NO, I MUST SAVE THEM BOTH!"
She charged toward the Royal Lord, but before she could intervene, the Royal Lord's enormous hand grabbed Kate.
"Let her go!" Yang Kai roared, dragging himself to his feet, blood dripping from his wounds. Feng Ying also tried to resist, but their combined efforts couldn't match the overwhelming power of the Royal Lord.
"You're worthy to be my slave," the Royal Lord declared, his voice cold and dominating. An extremely dense Ink Force began to gather in his massive hand, swirling ominously before surging toward Kate's body.
"Ack! AGHHHHHH!" Kate screamed, her voice echoing through the battlefield as the Ink Force invaded her, black tendrils searing into her being.
The oppressive aura from the Royal Lord intensified, creating an overwhelming pressure that spread across the battlefield. The Human Army was forced to retreat, unable to withstand the suffocating Ink Force.
"Yang Kai, we have to retreat!" Feng Ying shouted, her tone urgent. She grabbed Yang Kai, who was barely able to stand, and began to retreat from the battlefield.
As they fled, Yang Kai looked back helplessly, his heart sinking as he watched the Royal Lord's massive form engulf Kate.
"Kate has the World Spring, but can it protect her from that level of Ink Force?" Yang Kai wondered, fear gripping him as his vision blurred and he began to lose consciousness.
Not long after, the Human Race's Old Ancestor, a mighty Nine Rank Open Heaven Master, arrived and engaged the Royal Lord in an earth-shattering battle. The clash shook the battlefield, and in the end, the Human Race emerged victorious, forcing the Ink Clan to retreat.
Inside the Blue Sky Pass, a month later, Yang Kai lay on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Kate..." he murmured softly, the name escaping his lips like a painful echo.
Feng Ying entered the dimly lit room and frowned at his state. "Yang Kai? The Garrison Chiefs are here to see you," she said gently. Seeing him unmoving, she added, "Come on. Staying in a dark room all day isn't good for you."
Reluctantly, Yang Kai sat up, his face pale and his eyes heavy with sorrow.
"He's been like this ever since he woke up from that incident. Does he know that woman?" Feng Ying wondered silently as she led him outside.
Outside the house, a group of senior warriors waited.
"Yang Kai, you did a good job—" Zhong Liang, the Army Commander, started but stopped mid-sentence, noticing Yang Kai's haggard appearance. "What happened to you?" he asked, concern in his tone.
"My wife was taken by the Royal Lord. What do seniors think I should feel?" Yang Kai replied bluntly, not even looking up.
"Boy, you're in terrible shape," said Lu An, a Division Chief of Blue Sky Pass from Yin Yang Heaven, stepping forward. "I don't know what it feels like to lose a wife, but I do know this you can get through it."
Lu An placed a firm hand on Yang Kai's shoulder. "You're already on the brink of breaking through, but you're holding yourself back. Why? You need to focus, boy. She was taken by the Royal Lord. If she's alive, she's likely become an Ink Disciple. You must become stronger, break through, and bring her back!"
"This junior understands," Yang Kai replied, his voice low but resolute. "But my wife also carries one of the Universe Four Pillars. If she has truly become an Ink Disciple, even the Four Pillars might not protect her fully from the Ink Force."
The seniors exchanged grave looks, acknowledging the complexity of the situation.
"We're here for another reason," Zhong Liang said. "Your punishment for ignoring my direct command during the battle."
Yang Kai straightened, his expression unreadable. "What is my punishment, Senior?"
Zhong Liang handed him a map, the ink lines forming a marked region. "Clean this area of all remaining Ink Force," he ordered firmly.
"This junior shall obey," Yang Kai said without hesitation, turning away and taking flight toward his assigned task.
"Yang boy is not in good shape. What should we do?" Lu An asked, his tone heavy with concern.
"What can we do?" Zhong Liang replied with a sigh. "Everyone has their own challenges to face. Plus, the kid is strong—he'll get through this."
"The problem isn't him, though. It's his wife," said Ding Yao, the Army Commander of the Eastern Army in Blue Sky Pass. His expression was grave as he continued, "That woman wiped out an entire army. If she's truly become an Inked Disciple, her battlefield destructiveness might rival that of a Royal Lord, or worse."
Zhong Liang nodded. "You're right. And the fact that she's that brat's wife makes things more complicated. He gave her one of the Four Universe Pillars. "I suspect she has more treasures, too," Lu An added. "That brat isn't one to hold back when it comes to protecting someone he loves. If she's fully turned, reclaiming her won't just be about fighting her strength it'll be about surviving whatever arsenal she's carrying."
The commanders exchanged uneasy looks, the weight of the situation settling over them like a storm.
Meanwhile, inside the Royal Lord, Kate floated amidst the suffocating sea of Ink Force.
"There's nothing here but Ink Force," Kate thought to herself, her expression calm despite the oppressive surroundings. "Since the next battle is still far off, I need to focus on completing my Divine Ability Manifestation from my Water-Type Resource."
Closing her eyes, she concentrated deeply. "If my guess is correct, this Divine Ability should revolve around offensive illusions. If that's the case, I'll need to fuse the Core of Sentience and the True Art of Mara with this ability to bring it to its full potential."
With determination, she began to channel her energy, visualizing the intricate interplay between the three abilities. Slowly but surely, threads of her understanding wove together as she started to study and refine the fusion.
After some time, Kate felt an unsettling shift. Her concentration wavered, and she immediately opened her eyes. To her alarm, she noticed the Ink Force surrounding her was being drawn into her body.
"Oh no!" Kate exclaimed, quickly closing her eyes and shifting her consciousness into her Small Universe to investigate the anomaly.
To her surprise, her Small Universe remained intact and uncorroded by the Ink Force. Instead of the expected devastation, her world seemed eerily stable.
"What's going on?" Kate murmured, her brows furrowed as she returned her focus to her physical body. She glanced at her hand and froze.
The energy flowing from her palm had transformed a deep violet World Force outlined in a sinister black aura.
"Huh? The color of my World Force changed?" she muttered, her expression shifting as realization dawned. Slowly, a devilish smile curled her lips.
"Looks like the Heavens are favoring me," Kate thought to herself, her confidence swelling. "If this is a gift, I'll take it."
Without hesitation, she resumed her cultivation, the ominous energy around her pulsating like a heartbeat.
After ten years, inside the Royal Lord's Ink Nest, Kate entered the chamber with a composed demeanor.
"Why are you here?" the Royal Lord asked, his voice carrying an air of authority.
"Master, I'm done," Kate replied respectfully, bowing low before him.
"Good. I have already announced to everyone that from this point on, you will take command of the army," the Royal Lord said, his tone stern yet approving. "While you lead, I and the Old Ancestor of the Human race shall lay in wait on the battlefield."
"I won't disappoint, Master," Kate declared confidently.
"Go," the Royal Lord ordered, dismissing her.
Outside the Royal Nest
"Milady," six Ink Clan members greeted in unison, their deference evident.
"I nourished you all for this moment," Kate said with a faint smile. "Let's go."
With that, she soared into the skies, her six loyal followers each marked with unique colored linings on their bodies following closely behind.
"I managed to bring four Territory Lords and two Feudal Lords under my command. This should suffice," Kate thought, her violet and black World Force faintly shimmering as she led the group.
After Two Months of Travel
Hovering just beyond the range of the Human race's camp, Kate and her group halted.
"This is close enough to the Humans' camp," Kate said, turning to address her subordinates. "Are you all ready?"
The Ink Clan members responded eagerly, their determination evident.
"All of you bear unique traits corresponding to your colors, so I'll call you by those for now," Kate added.
"We're ready, Milady. What's the plan?" asked Red, one of the Territory Lords.
"We'll launch an attack, of course," Kate replied, her tone calm but resolute. "However, we'll rest here first and wait for the right opportunity."
Kate closed her eyes, her consciousness diving into her Small Universe.
"Milady," Dr. Mei greeted her with a respectful nod.
"What's the situation?" Kate asked, her tone clipped yet curious.
"The small ship you tasked us to build is almost complete," Dr. Mei reported. "It can shelter about 100 people and operates nearly autonomously, controllable via thought."
"Good," Kate said, nodding approvingly.
"As per your instructions, we prioritized mobility over firepower," Dr. Mei continued. "It doesn't carry many weapons since our turret designs are significantly larger, but we've managed to install five turrets. Two AP turrets are positioned at the front and back, with a single G-1 Guardian for its barrier system."
"Excellent work," Kate said, her lips curling into a small smile. "This will do for now."
"The AP-1 turrets fire compressed Ink Force to such a degree that it explodes violently, equaling an attack from a Fifth Rank Open Heaven Master," Dr. Mei explained, her tone carrying a mix of pride and professionalism. "The turrets are coated with Yin-Yang materials and propelled by a railgun system powered by World Force."
"And what about the barrier?" Kate asked, her interest piqued.
"We made slight modifications based on the ideas Milady provided," Dr. Mei began. "The G-1 Guardian system has two features. First, it can transfer anything inside its barrier to the Void to evade a powerful attack. However, this ability can only be used once per activation because the Space Principles Caster Cube or SPC Cube burns out due to the immense load. Second, the barrier itself can defend against attacks. Thanks to the samples Milady provided from the enemy's ships, we've adapted it to block their assaults. However, it can only withstand about seven attacks before failing, as our understanding of World Force is still limited."
"That is good enough," Kate replied with a nod.
"The ship is powered by a prototype engine capable of converting Ink Force into World Force for energy," Dr. Mei added. "We've integrated an automatic feedback system to gather results from its performance. This way, Milady doesn't need to worry if the ship is destroyed; it's still in the experimental phase since all this technology has been developed in just eight years."
"I see," Kate said, her eyes glinting with satisfaction. "Then I'll take it now."
"Milady, please wait until the paint job is finished," Dr. Mei interjected with a polite smile.
"Very well," Kate replied, her tone patient but eager.
After some time, Kate sat calmly in her garden, sipping tea. The tranquil moment was interrupted by Dr. Mei's excited announcement.
"Milady, the ship is ready! The Strategic Frigate-Class Nightlight is complete!"
Kate smiled lightly and set her cup down. "Then let's go."
Without hesitation, she flew toward an open space. "This area is at the back of the base. Is there a plan for this place?" Kate asked, surveying the surroundings.
"Yes, Milady," Dr. Mei replied. "This place will be used as hangars for ship construction and maintenance."
"And what about the western part of the base?"
"That area is completely free, Milady," Dr. Mei confirmed.
"Then it's decided," Kate said decisively. "The western part of the base will be used for battle-ready ships or those waiting to be deployed. I can transport them directly using the Divine Gate of the Gate of Babylon."
Kate flew toward the western side of the base, Dr. Mei following closely behind.
In the vast, open area, Kate landed gracefully and surveyed the space. "This will be the deployment area. Once a ship is here, it can be launched at any moment."
She formed a radiant golden rectangle in her palm, throwing it into the massive expanse. Upon hitting the ground, the rectangle expanded, growing several times larger than the base itself.
"The Nightlight should be transferred here," Dr. Mei said, marveling at the now-transformed deployment zone.
"Good," Kate said, her tone calm yet commanding. "Keep up the good work." With that, she vanished, leaving Dr. Mei to oversee the preparations.
Dr. Mei gazed into the distance, a sense of anticipation in her eyes. "It looks like things are about to begin."
Kate opened her eyes sharply, her senses instantly alert.
"Milady, there's movement," Blue reported.
"What happened?" Kate asked.
"A ship has entered the restriction zone," Blue explained.
"Tomorrow, we'll reveal ourselves," Kate said, rising from her meditative state. She stepped outside and opened a massive Gate of Babylon in the open space. Emerging from the glowing portal was a jet-black, futuristic-looking battleship with violet outlines and a striking nine-leaf lotus insignia emblazoned on its surface.
"WOAH!!!" the Ink Clan members shouted in unison, their awe palpable.
"A palace artifact!" Red exclaimed as the ship's grand doors lowered to the ground.
"Come in. Let me teach you how to use this," Kate said, entering the Nightlight with a commanding presence.
Inside the ship, its sleek design and advanced features left the group speechless. Kate pointed to two glowing orbs. "This ship's name is Nightlight. Orange and White, you two will power it by pouring your Ink Force here," she explained.
"Just place your palms on the orbs and transfer your Ink Force. Since you're both Feudal Lords, this task is better suited for your level."
The two nodded and followed her instructions, their Ink Force merging seamlessly into the orbs, which began to pulsate with energy.
The Next Day
"Do you all understand now?" Kate asked, her voice echoing through the command deck.
"Yes!" they replied in unison.
"Good, then let's go!" Kate said, her tone filled with determination.
The silent hum of the Nightlight's engine filled the air as the ship lifted off, its violet glow casting an ominous light over the surroundings.
"Dr. Mei really outdid herself. The radars, the systems—everything is functioning perfectly," Kate mused, her eyes scanning the displays. "For now, let's begin the hunt."
It didn't take long for the Nightlight to attract attention. Its massive size made it impossible to miss.
"Huh? What's that?" someone from a distant human outpost said, spotting the ship on the horizon.
"Is it the Ink Clan!?" another shouted, panic spreading.
"There's a ship in the far northeast," Yellow reported, watching the radar.
"Good. Head in that direction and charge the front turrets," Kate commanded.
Moments later, the Nightlight loomed into view of the human forces, its violet glow and imposing design striking fear into their hearts.
"WHAT IS THAT MASSIVE THING?" a soldier exclaimed, his voice trembling.
"ACTIVATE THE DEFENSIVE ARRAY!" their captain ordered, but his voice betrayed his uncertainty.
"Fire!" Kate commanded coldly as the two AP-1 turrets roared to life, firing powerful, compressed Ink Force shells.
"DEFEND!" the captain shouted, their barriers shimmering to life.
The moment the barrier was struck, the AP-1 shells detonated with violent force, releasing black clouds that engulfed the area.
"INK FORCE!" someone screamed in terror.
"Since when could they fire Ink Clouds!?" another asked, panic rising.
"RETURN FIRE!" the captain shouted desperately, but the human forces were already in disarray, their defensive measures struggling against the overwhelming power of the Nightlight's assault.
"It's firepower is only at the Fifth Rank Open Heaven Realm! Everyone, don't falter!" the captain shouted, rallying his crew. "Attack back!"
Meanwhile, aboard the Nightlight, Kate addressed her subordinates. "I'll handle this first. You all remain inside for a surprise attack. Don't reveal yourselves."
"Yes, Milady," they responded in unison.
Kate vanished from the command deck, reappearing outside the Nightlight. Her eyes narrowed as she observed a barrage of ranged attacks aimed at her ship.
"Yin Yang Divine Mirror!" Kate shouted, her voice ringing with authority. A massive circular formation with a glowing Yin-Yang symbol materialized, shielding the Nightlight. The formation reflected every incoming attack back toward the assailants, causing widespread destruction among the enemy ranks.
"Ugh, the energy demand is quite high since I made it so large," Kate thought, her brows furrowing briefly. She opened a Gate of Babylon beside her, summoning the Hilt of Twilight into her hand. Gripping it firmly, she launched herself toward the human ship with unmatched speed.
"A Seventh Rank Ink Disciple!" someone screamed in terror from the enemy vessel.
"Pointless struggles!" Kate declared, her voice cold and menacing. With a single devastating slash, she cleaved the ship in two, throwing the humans into chaos.
"YOU!!" the captain roared, locking eyes with Kate.
As he charged toward her, his heart pounded violently. "That sword… why does it make my heart tremble?" he thought, feeling an overwhelming sense of dread.
Behind him, his squadmates were being systematically annihilated by the Nightlight, its turrets raining death upon them.
"CURSE YOU!" the captain bellowed, lunging at Kate with all his strength.
Kate remained calm, blocking his attack with ease. She swiftly placed her left hand on his abdomen, releasing a concentrated burst of energy. The captain's body disintegrated instantly, leaving nothing but ash in the air.
Kate stood still for a moment, her gaze fixed on the horizon. "The fall of a Seventh Rank Open Heaven Master should send shockwaves through their forces," she thought before flying back to the Nightlight.
"Milady, that was excellent!" her subordinates exclaimed in unison, their admiration evident.
"Let's go hunt some more," Kate shouted, her voice filled with determination.
After a month of relentless hunting:
"Milady, we've already annihilated three human ships. They're cunning, so we must—" Red's report was abruptly cut off by a sudden explosion.
"Everyone, defend!" Kate commanded, her voice firm. "Green and Yellow, come with me!" she ordered as the three of them flew out of the Nightlight to confront the source of the attack.
Outside, Kate's eyes fell upon the Dawn Squad, her lips curling into a wide smile. However, her expression darkened when she saw Green struck by a thunderous yellow energy blast from the Dawn Squad.
"Captain, I'll handle the one in yellow," Feng Ying declared, darting toward Yellow with fierce determination.
"Everyone, don't die!" Kate shouted as she ascended to meet the Dawn Squad at their level.
"Kate… is that you?" Yang Kai asked, disbelief and sorrow etched on his face.
"Long time no see," Kate replied, her tone almost teasing but devoid of warmth.
"COME BACK TO ME!" Yang Kai roared, extending both hands toward her and releasing a massive surge of the Light of Purification.
However, his attack was stopped short as a massive Yin Yang Divine Mirror materialized in front of Kate, blocking the purifying light.
"A Divine Ability Manifestation?!" Yang Kai exclaimed in shock.
"You all focus on destroying their battleship!" Yang Kai commanded his squad before stepping out of the ship, his gaze fixed on Kate.
"Kate, are you an Ink Disciple?" Yang Kai asked, his voice trembling with emotion.
"Yeah, I am," Kate replied calmly, revealing her Violet World Force tinged with black outlines.
Yang Kai's eyes widened in shock. "Did the World Spring not protect you?" he asked, his tone heavy with regret.
In a flash, he appeared behind her, attempting to purify her again, but a Miniature Yin Yang Divine Mirror emerged, intercepting his attack effortlessly.
"This Divine Ability of mine will defend me automatically," Kate explained, her tone unyielding. She countered with a sharp slash, forcing Yang Kai to retreat.
"This is problematic. I don't want to hurt her badly, but we're about equal in strength," Yang Kai thought, his mind racing as he tried to find a way to save her.
In the heat of their tense standoff, Yang Kai spoke firmly, "Kate, the Ink Clan can't form hunting squads like us humans. They can't recover from sustained battles. You're in a losing fight, so just surrender."
Kate's expression remained indifferent, but Yang Kai's thoughts swirled. Why is Kate so different from other Ink Disciples? Or is it just my imagination?
"And besides, we can't keep fighting like this," Yang Kai continued. "We're both Seventh Rank. Recovery is difficult at this level."
"Stop spouting nonsense," Kate snapped, blocking an attack aimed at the Nightlight. The subsequent explosion of Ink Force was absorbed into her body, and her World Force visibly regenerated.
"Who's the one that can't recover fast now?" Kate asked mockingly.
Yang Kai's eyes narrowed. She can directly absorb Ink Force and convert it into World Force. This is bad.
Suddenly, Kate appeared in front of him, her blade flashing toward him in a deadly arc. Yang Kai barely managed to block her strike, but pain flared as a crimson blade pierced through his side.
"What? Three of them!" Yang Kai realized in shock, noticing illusions of Kate surrounding him. He tried to retreat, but his movements were sluggish.
"The space… it's been condensed!" Yang Kai thought, panic rising as he saw Kate preparing to cleave him in two.
Why won't this guy fight me seriously? Kate wondered, her expression betraying her frustration.
But just as she was about to land a decisive blow, Feng Ying intervened, her blade clashing against Kate's. Meanwhile, the Dawn Squad began falling back as the Territory Lords under Kate's command collapsed one by one.
"Captain, you must escape!" Feng Ying yelled, her voice urgent.
The other members of the Dawn Squad began joining the fray to support Yang Kai.
"Kate, if you're still in there," Feng Ying shouted, "you must know that you're about to kill your husband!"
Her words caused a ripple of shock among the Dawn Squad members.
"What? She's Captain's wife?!" Shen Ao exclaimed.
"So that's why the Captain hasn't been fighting seriously," Qi Tai Chu murmured in realization.
"Go!" Kate suddenly commanded, her voice cutting through the chaos and silencing everyone.
"Are you conscious?!" Feng Ying asked in disbelief.
"I said, GO NOW!" Kate shouted, her voice filled with both anger and desperation. She turned her gaze to Yang Kai. "You must grow stronger, Yang Kai. Strong enough to stop me."
With that, she flew away, leaving the battlefield in stunned silence.
What's going on with her? Is she Inked or not?" Feng Ying questioned, confusion lacing her tone.
"Everyone, we need to recover that crashed ship the Ink Clan left behind," Yang Kai commanded, his voice steady despite his injuries as he worked to heal himself.
"But, Team Captain, how are we supposed to bring it back?" Shen Ao asked, concern etched on his face.
"Some of you will go and report what happened here," Yang Kai instructed. "The rest of us will stay and guard the wreckage in case Kate comes back to destroy it further."
Meanwhile, Kate flew swiftly toward the King City, her thoughts a whirlwind. I'm not Inked, she reassured herself, clenching her fists. Yang Kai isn't fighting back. Why? The mysterious being's request has changed, too. Instead of wanting him stronger, now it just wants me to marry him.
A bitter smile crossed her lips. There's no point in thinking it over. I've already lied to them from the start.
"What's going on with her? Is she Inked or not?" Feng Ying questioned, confusion lacing her tone.

Two months later, within the Royal Lord's Nest, Kate stood before her master.
"Master, I have returned," she said, bowing respectfully.
"Is there something you need?" the Royal Lord inquired, his imposing presence filling the chamber.
"Master, I've been leading small groups to attack the human race's hunting squads," Kate began, her voice calm and deliberate. "I've discovered that I'm far more effective acting alone than with an army. I propose that Master grants me permission to act solo, like the Ace of the human race."
The Royal Lord's gaze sharpened. "The Ace?"
"Yes, Master. I encountered him during a hunt. Our battle ended in a stalemate. Allowing me to act independently would yield better results. That rising human will become a killing machine in the future," Kate explained. "I believe putting an equal force against him is the best strategy."
The Royal Lord pondered her words. "So you're saying it's better to assign someone equally skilled to handle him directly?"
"Yes, Master," Kate confirmed. "He's already killed Chasing Wind. It won't be long before he claims the life of another Territory Lord. We must halt his killing spree."
"You're right," the Royal Lord agreed after a moment's thought. "Very well, I grant your request. Just don't die."
"Yes, Master," Kate said with a bow before turning to leave.
After three months, Kate arrived at a deserted Universe World. Her presence immediately drew attention.
"Yang Kai, I finally found you," Kate said, descending gracefully.
"An Ink Desciple!" Shen Ao shouted, gripping his weapon.
"It's Captain's wife," Feng Ying added, holding out her hand to calm him.
"Everyone, don't attack! If you saw what she did on the West Battlefield of the Blue Sky Pass, you'd know better than to provoke her," Feng Ying warned.
"We were there too," Qi Tai Chu said uneasily. "Those thousands of golden portals... they were hers?"
"Yes, that's her ability, so don't be careless," Feng Ying affirmed. "She's an Inked Desciple, but she also possesses one of the Universe Four Pillars. That should give her some resistance to the Ink's corruption, as we saw last time."
"What's Junior Sister Kate's purpose here?" Feng Ying asked as Kate descended to speak with them.
"I'm here to see Yang Kai," Kate said.
"Captain isn't here; he's been summoned to a meeting," Feng Ying replied.
"I see. Then can I wait here?" Kate asked.
"You can, but don't attack anyone," Feng Ying said cautiously.
"I won't. My only purpose here is to talk with Yang Kai. If I wanted to kill you all, you'd already be dead," Kate said, casting doubts among the group.
"What are you doing here?" Kate asked.
"We're mining materials," Feng Ying admitted reluctantly.
"Why did you reveal our purpose here, Vice Captain?!" Shen Ao exclaimed.
"Can I have some?" Kate asked bluntly.
"No! Even if you're Captain's wife, you're still an Inked Desciple right now. How about you let yourself be purified? Then we'll give you as much as you want," Shen Ao retorted.
"I can't do that. No one can attack me due to my Divine Ability Manifestation," Kate explained.
"That Yin Yang Divine Mirror?" Feng Ying inquired.
"Yeah, it's automatic. I can't let anyone attack me without it reflecting back," Kate said matter-of-factly.
"Anyway, do you want me to help you?" Kate offered unexpectedly.
"Yeah, it would be great if you could split this Universe World," Shen Ao said, testing her sincerity.
"I see. Okay then," Kate replied, surprising everyone.
Kate stood before the Universe Fragment at her feet. She extended her pointing finger and swiped downward. Moments later, the entire Universe World split perfectly in half, as if cleaved by an invisible blade.
"There, it's in half," Kate said, dusting off her hands as the group stared in awe.
The Dawn Squad stared in stunned silence.
"She… split it… just like that?" Shen Ao stammered, his jaw practically hitting the ground.
"Unbelievable," Qi Tai Chu whispered, his hands trembling.
Feng Ying sighed, rubbing her temple. "I told you not to underestimate her."
"Just a small thing," Kate said nonchalantly, though her mind screamed, Curses! That drained almost all of my World Force!
"Anyways, I'll wait for him right here," she added, regaining her composure.
"If you want, you can rest in our battleship?" Feng Ying offered cautiously.
"No, but I have someone who might want to rest there," Kate said as she opened her Small Universe. A surge of profound and deep World Force erupted, stunning the Dawn Squad. From the swirling energy, Dr. Mei and two others emerged.
"Milady," Dr. Mei greeted, bowing.
"That is the Palace Artifact of the Dawn Squad. Study it to your hearts' content," Kate instructed.
"An Emperor Realm and… a normal human? What is going on?" Feng Ying asked, her confusion evident.
"Oh, they're my researchers," Kate replied matter-of-factly.
"Researchers?" Feng Ying repeated.
"They study many kinds of energy, even the Ink Force. That's how we discovered how to convert Ink Force to World Force and use Ink Force as a bullet that explodes upon impact," Kate explained.
"So, they're key figures of the Ink Clan?" Feng Ying asked, narrowing her eyes.
"No, they're my people," Kate said firmly.
"When I saw your Small Universe, I noticed it wasn't corroded," Feng Ying remarked.
"I know, right?" Kate said with a slight smirk. "When the Royal Lord placed me inside his body, the Universe Four Pillars protected me. Not long after, the Ink Force started forcing its way into my body. The next thing I knew, my Ink Force and World Force had combined."
"I see… that's strange," Feng Ying said thoughtfully.
"Then you're only half Ink?" Shen Ao asked hesitantly.
"I don't think so. I don't care about the Ink Clan. The supposed loyalty isn't there—I'm still me, doing whatever I want," Kate said.
"If that's the case, why don't you come back?" Feng Ying asked.
"Why would I? I can use Ink Force, and it's much more enjoyable to battle humans than Ink Clan members," Kate replied with a grin.
"WHAT'S WITH THAT ATTITUDE? SINCE YOU'RE A HUMAN, WHY DON'T YOU CARE?" Shen Ao shouted angrily.
Suddenly, half of the Universe World froze as Kate's cold gaze locked onto the Dawn Squad.
"You have no right to tell me what to do or care about," Kate said icily, her voice laced with venom. "I have a deep hatred for humans, so you'd better shut up."
Her right hand transformed into a dragon claw covered in violet scales, glinting ominously. "And you're wrong," Kate continued, pointing at Shen Ao with the claw. "I'm not a human. I'm a Divine Spirit."
Her declaration left the Dawn Squad stunned.
"On behalf of my subordinate, I apologize," Feng Ying said quickly, bowing slightly to defuse the situation.
"That's okay, I don't really care," Kate replied with a dismissive wave of her claw. "I just don't like being yelled at."
Behind her, a Gate of Babylon (GoB) opened, and a majestic throne slowly emerged. Kate sat upon it, her presence commanding.
"You all can go mine again. I won't disturb you any further," Kate said, her tone indifferent.
"Everyone, back to mining," Feng Ying commanded, gesturing to the group. "I'll entertain our guest."
The squad quickly returned to work, leaving Feng Ying to pull up a chair and sit close to Kate.
"May I know what kind of Divine Spirit you are?" Feng Ying asked, her voice curious but cautious.
"I'm a Pharygon," Kate explained. "I combined the sources of a dragon and a phoenix. Because of that, I became an entirely new species of Divine Spirit."
"Combining the source of two Divine Spirits?" Feng Ying asked, her voice laced with astonishment. "That's pretty dangerous."
"I know. I almost died doing it," Kate admitted. "But when I truly became a Divine Spirit, a furnace-looking object appeared within my Knowledge Sea and bestowed me two cultivation methods."
"I see," Feng Ying said thoughtfully. "I don't know what that is, but maybe you could ask other Divine Spirits about it."
Kate nodded silently, her gaze fixed on her dragon claw as it slowly turned into golden dust and vanished.
"Why aren't you going back to the Captain, even though you can?" Feng Ying asked, watching her closely.
"Like I said earlier, I just want to fight him," Kate replied. "Plus, if he learns that I'm not a complete Inked Disciple, he'll probably be fine."
"What do you mean by that?" Feng Ying pressed.
"I'm not really his wife yet," Kate explained casually. "We made a bet: if he wins in battle, I'll marry him. If he loses, we'll never see each other again."
"There are no real rules, so I plan to fight him with the intent to kill," Kate added, her tone indifferent. "I don't like the idea of getting married."
"I see," Feng Ying replied, a hint of sadness in her voice. "But do you know how devastated he was when you became Inked?"
Kate was visibly surprised by the comment. "What are you saying? He's just blaming himself because he couldn't protect me," she said dismissively.
"Do you know," Kate continued, her tone turning slightly amused, "that bastard already has nine wives?"
A pink light emerged from Kate's forehead, transforming into Su Yan's Primordial Spirit, which stood before the two women.
"This is Su Yan, Yang Kai's first wife," Kate said, gesturing toward the spirit, shocking Feng Ying.
"She's definitely the cold-type beauty. What a lucky guy," Feng Ying remarked with a smirk.
"That's right," Kate said with a soft chuckle. "And all his wives are incredibly talented."
Su Yan's Primordial Spirit turned back into pink light, merging with Kate's forehead and forming a petal within a lotus tattoo.
"What is that technique?" Feng Ying asked curiously, her eyes lingering on the tattoo.
"This technique was given to me by a friend," Kate explained. "It was originally designed for men, but I converted it. Its name is the Finger of Flowery Sword, an evil technique."
"Finger of Flowery Sword? What does it do?" Feng Ying asked, leaning forward slightly in intrigue.
"To cultivate this technique, one must surround themselves with beauties and collect Beauty Energy. Only when women wholeheartedly love the practitioner and follow him of their own accord can they produce the Beauty Energy suitable for cultivating the Finger of Flowery Swords," Kate explained.
"Then how did you practice it?" Feng Ying asked, curiosity tinged with hesitation.
"In the Flowery Sword Techniques, the only thing I can use is the Primordial Spirit, like what you just saw," Kate began. "I cultivated it by creating the Flowery Bead. One swallows it, and it dissolves within their body. Once someone loses their Primordial Yin with someone they truly love, their Primordial Yin will be copied by the Flowery Bead, forming the Primordial Spirit."
Feng Ying's face turned bright red. "I- I see. It was rude of me to ask," she stammered, flustered.
"Heh... Looks like Senior Sister is still inexperienced with love," Kate teased with a sly grin.
"I- it's normal since I've been on the battlefield!" Feng Ying defended herself quickly.
"I know, haha," Kate chuckled. "We're Open Heaven Realm Masters; thousands of years are just drops in the bucket. No rush."
"That's right," Feng Ying replied, her composure returning. "But it might be rude, so forgive me for asking how old are you?"
"Me?" Kate tilted her head in thought. "I don't know exactly. A maximum of two thousand years, perhaps?"
Feng Ying's eyes widened. "You're only that old?"
"Yes. Yang Kai, Sister Su, and Sister Xia are of about the same age," Kate answered casually.
"I see," Feng Ying murmured, unable to hide her astonishment. What a group of monsters, she thought to herself.
"Right," Feng Ying said, shaking herself from her thoughts. "May I know your purpose here?"
"Nothing really. It's simple when Breaking Dawn moves, I will too," Kate replied.
"I see. So, you're here as a precaution for me?" a voice cut in as Yang Kai descended from the sky, landing before them.
"I was correct it's you. I recognized that majestic throne of yours," Yang Kai added with a faint smile.
"What happened in this Barren Universe World?" Yang Kai asked, his gaze fixed on the separated landscape of the desolate world.
"It's Ms. Kate who separated this so we can mine quicker," Feng Ying explained.
"You... you did this? How?" Yang Kai questioned, his tone a mix of curiosity and disbelief.
"A simple thing," Kate replied casually.
"So, what are you planning?" Yang Kai pressed.
"I'll always be with you or nearby since it's my job," Kate responded with a smirk.
"This woman will be hard to deal with," Yang Kai thought, his brow furrowing. "Did you say anything about that place?" he asked seriously, his tone sharpening.
"Maybe, or maybe I didn't," Kate said, skillfully dodging the question, which flared up Yang Kai's temper.
"TELL ME THE TRUTH!" Yang Kai shouted, his voice echoing across the barren landscape.
"Calm down. I want to meet the owner of the Profound Fish," Kate said, her words shocking both Yang Kai and Feng Ying.
"Once you relay this information to the Old Ancestors, they'll definitely agree," Kate continued.
"You're right, but this is pretty dangerous for you," Yang Kai said, his expression darkening.
"No worries. Even if a Ninth Rank Open Heaven Master attacked me, I could escape," Kate stated, leaving both Yang Kai and Feng Ying stunned.
"Will you do it or not?" Kate asked firmly.
"Okay, I'll relay this information to the higher-ups," Yang Kai finally said as he flew away.
"What were you two talking about?" Feng Ying asked, her curiosity piqued.
"It's a secret concerning the 3,000 Worlds," Kate replied cryptically.
"Why are you so sure the Old Ancestors will agree?" Feng Ying pressed.
"It's because if they don't, I can destroy the 3,000 Worlds the very thing you've all been protecting for hundreds of thousands of years," Kate said with a calm yet chilling tone, leaving Feng Ying speechless and utterly shocked.
In the Blue Sky Pass, at the Residence of the Old Ancestor, Yang Kai landed and was greeted by a messenger.
"What is Junior Brother Yang's business here?" the messenger asked.
"I'm here to report something to the Old Ancestor. Please tell him it's urgent—an emergency concerning the 3,000 Worlds," Yang Kai replied, his tone serious.
The messenger's eyes widened in surprise. "Understood, Junior Brother. I'll relay this immediately," he said before disappearing inside.
After some time, the messenger returned. "Junior Brother, the Old Ancestor has allowed you to enter," he announced.
"Thank you, Senior," Yang Kai said, bowing slightly before stepping inside.
In the Blue Sky Pass, at the House of the Old Ancestor, Yang Kai landed and was greeted by a messenger.
Inside the house, the Old Ancestor sat calmly, his piercing gaze fixed on Yang Kai. "What is the emergency situation?" he asked.
"Old Ancestor, I previously mentioned that I came out of a Void Corridor with someone. That someone... has now been Inked," Yang Kai said.
The Old Ancestor's expression darkened, and he suddenly coughed up blood.
"Old Ancestor!" Yang Kai exclaimed, rushing forward.
"I'm fine. Is what you said true?" the Old Ancestor demanded, his tone sharp.
"Yes. She's currently with my Dawn Squad, but she won't tell me whether she has shared critical information with the Ink Clan," Yang Kai admitted, frustration evident in his voice.
"How is this possible? Once Inked, absolute loyalty to the Ink Clan is inevitable," the Old Ancestor said, shaking his head.
"Old Ancestor, it's not that simple. Kate has been Inked, but she possesses one of the Universe Four Pillars, which allows her to completely convert Ink Force into World Force. Her Small Universe remains uncorrupted. The only difference is that she can absorb Ink Force," Yang Kai explained, recalling Feng Ying's earlier insights.
The Old Ancestor frowned deeply. "What do you mean by this? It could be a trick," he said, his tone wary.
"We must kill that Inked Disciple immediately!" the Old Ancestor declared.
"OLD ANCESTOR, PLEASE WAIT! I VOUCH FOR HER!" Yang Kai retorted, his voice rising, startling the Old Ancestor.
Taken aback, the Old Ancestor studied Yang Kai closely.
"She has no loyalty to the Ink Clan. The only thing she does is convert Ink Force to World Force. I also intend to purify her, and this situation presents a chance to do so. Besides, she's the one who eliminated the Ink Army that day," Yang Kai argued, his determination unwavering.
"The stranger the behavior of an Inked Disciple, the greater the threat. She must be dealt with," the Old Ancestor insisted.
"Then I must leave," Yang Kai said abruptly.
The Old Ancestor's eyes narrowed. "What are you planning?" he asked, sensing Yang Kai's resolve.
"If that's what the Old Ancestor decides, then my only choice is to negotiate with the Ink Clan to carve out space for my family and friends once they conquer the 3,000 Worlds," Yang Kai declared, his voice steady.
"BOY, YOU DARE!" the Old Ancestor roared, his World Force exploding outward, shaking the entire room.
"Old Ancestor, please consider this carefully. Kate is also proficient in Space Principles. If something goes wrong, I'm certain she has the means to send a message," Yang Kai said, meeting the Old Ancestor's gaze unflinchingly.
The Old Ancestor sighed in defeat, his posture relaxing slightly. "What are your plans?" he asked, his tone carrying both resignation and curiosity.
"Old Ancestor, Kate possesses a Divine Ability Manifestation from her Yin and Yang Resources. It can automatically defend her from attacks, making it difficult for me to purify her," Yang Kai explained.
The Old Ancestor frowned. "And what does she want?"
"Kate requested to see the Old Ancestor who holds the Profound Fish, one of the Universe Four Pillars," Yang Kai said.
"What?!" The Old Ancestor exclaimed, his voice booming with disbelief.
"Please don't misunderstand. Kate has a heaven-defying divine ability that allows her to copy anything," Yang Kai clarified, surprising the Old Ancestor even further.
"She's also a collector. I believe her intention is to copy the Profound Fish. Once that's done, the Old Ancestor can help me destroy her barrier and purify her," Yang Kai continued.
"Is all of this true?" the Old Ancestor asked, narrowing his eyes at Yang Kai.
"Yes," Yang Kai confirmed. "She already has a copy of my World Spring, and I can bet my cultivation that there is no difference between the copy and the original. However, her ability requires her lifespan to create these copies, and she can only copy something once."
"I see," the Old Ancestor said, his expression thoughtful.
"Then I will send a message to Yin Yang Pass immediately and have Wu Qing come here," the Old Ancestor decided.
Yang Kai nodded.
"You may leave now. Tomorrow, we'll proceed with your plan," the Old Ancestor said firmly, signaling the end of the conversation.
After some time, inside the residence of the Old Ancestor, he sat in quiet contemplation.
"If what that brat said is true, then this Kate is definitely an asset on the same level as Yang Kai," the Old Ancestor muttered to himself. "And yet, that boy is ready to betray the Human Race for the sake of his family."
His gaze turned distant, pondering the implications. "And then there's Kate, who can copy anything. Such a heaven-defying ability… it's both a blessing and a risk to all of us."
Leaning back, the Old Ancestor stared at the ceiling, his mind weighed with the future. "Young talents are steadily emerging. In no time, the new will inevitably replace the old," he thought to himself with a heavy sigh.
