The Profound Fish And the Search

After a long time in the Barren Universe World where the Dawn Squad resided, Kate sat cross-legged, recovering her lost World Force. Feng Ying stood at a distance, observing her intently.

"Her World Force is so dense and profound. What kind of cultivation does she practice to achieve this level of purity?" Feng Ying thought to herself. She scrutinized Kate's aura, noting the depth of her Small Universe. "The foundation of her Small Universe is so solid and deep. With this kind of Small Universe, she might even be able to hold her own against a newly promoted 8th Rank Open Heaven Realm."

As Feng Ying's thoughts raced, Dr. Mei and her two underlings approached Kate.

"Milady, we're done and are expecting good results," Dr. Mei reported.

"Hmm, excellent," Kate replied, opening her Small Universe beside her. The three entered without hesitation, leaving Feng Ying awestruck.

"Huh? What is that massive structure? Is that a Palace Artifact?" Feng Ying thought, her nerves tingling. "Ms. Kate, is it possible that you're building a Palace Artifact?" she asked cautiously.

"Of course," Kate said nonchalantly. "The one you faced was just an experimental version, so it's not that capable yet."

"Not capable? That ship could exile itself into the Void to dodge attacks!" Feng Ying countered.

Kate smirked. "Its firepower is weak only at the Fifth Rank Open Heaven level. But credit to my researchers for managing to build it from scratch in just 10 years. Since we couldn't install our main weapons on it, your lives were spared."

"What do you mean by that?" Feng Ying asked nervously.

"We have a turret called the PE1. It's probably as large as your Blue Sky Pass. The PE1 is capable of erasing a 7th Rank Open Heaven Realm cultivator in one shot," Kate explained, leaving Feng Ying pale and speechless as sweat formed on her forehead.

"Enough about this; it's one of my secret weapons," Kate said, standing up. Internally, she calculated her progress. "I've only recovered about 20% of my World Force."

At that moment, Yang Kai landed in front of them.

"The Old Ancestor has agreed. Tomorrow, you'll come with me inside the Pass," Yang Kai informed her.

"An Inked Disciple allowed inside the Pass?" Feng Ying exclaimed, her surprise evident.

"Don't do anything stupid," Kate warned Yang Kai. "I'm also a master of Space Dao. I can send a message even before I die."

"We know. I already told the Old Ancestor. Tomorrow, Senior Wu Qing will arrive here, and you'll come with me," Yang Kai confirmed.

"Since that's settled, how about helping us mine?" Yang Kai suggested.

"Not interested," Kate replied bluntly.

"But you need materials to further the foundation of your Universe World," Yang Kai argued.

Kate raised her hand, letting her World Force manifest visibly.

"Huh? Your foundation is much stronger than mine?" Yang Kai remarked, his astonishment evident. "And it's rising at an astonishing speed!"

"What kind of treasure did you acquire?" he asked, his expression betraying his curiosity.

"That's a secret," Kate said dismissively, ignoring Yang Kai's probing questions.

"You should mine," Kate suggested, turning the tables. Then, with a wave of her hand, a throne materialized. She sat on it with a regal air.

"Go away. I'll be busy. Just talk to me once we're heading to the Blue Sky Pass," she concluded, closing her eyes and dismissing him entirely.

"The enormous tree has a whole universe in its leaves. So the strength of my Small Universe will naturally grow stronger over time. That tree is indeed a gold mine!" Kate thought to herself, her excitement bubbling as a small smile unknowingly formed on her lips.

Suddenly, Yang Kai's voice whispered close to her ear, startling her.

"Madam, your lips are curling a little. I bet you can't contain your excitement for the Profound Fish," Yang Kai teased.

"YOU!" Kate exclaimed, pushing his face away with a sharp motion. Her cheeks flushed slightly. "This guy actually made my heart skip a beat," Kate thought to herself, annoyed.

Yang Kai noticed immediately, his grin widening. "Oh? Looks like I made your heart skip a beat," he said, pressing the issue with playful intent.

But before he could step closer, a golden sword Fired and struck the ground where he had been standing, forcing him to retreat.

"That's close! What do you want? To see my heart too, like Senior Sister Hua?" Yang Kai asked, chuckling as he walked back towards Kate without a hint of fear.

Feng Ying, observing the interaction, was astonished. "That's the technique she used when she eliminated the Ink Clan's army," Feng Ying thought, her eyes narrowing as she studied the golden circle's ethereal glow.

"Those golden circles are completely devoid of energy. How could someone detect them?" she wondered. "How did Captain manage to sense the incoming attack?"

Kate, unfazed by Yang Kai's comment, smirked. "You're bold, Yang Kai. Keep pressing, and you might regret it."

Yang Kai simply shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

After some time, Kate flew gracefully within the vast expanse of her Small Universe. Her gaze drifted across the endless landscapes teeming with life and activity. "Living beings strengthen the foundation of one's Small Universe," she mused. "Having literal universes and that's with an S within mine, it's only natural that I'll continue to improve, even without refining Yin-Yang or the Five Elements."

As she exit her small universe and despite her logical thoughts, a flicker of unease crept into her mind. Her attention unconsciously shifted in the direction of Yang Kai, and a soft, almost imperceptible sigh escaped her lips. "What the hell?" she wondered. "Why is my heart refusing to calm down?"

As if sensing her inner turmoil, Feng Ying watched from a distance with a knowing smile. She couldn't hide her amusement at the sight of Kate's rare vulnerability.

"She's so composed most of the time, but when it comes to this, she's as simple as they come," Feng Ying thought, barely suppressing a chuckle. "Once you break through that wall of hers, it's all too easy to see the real her."

Kate, catching Feng Ying's sly expression, immediately turned her head in the opposite direction, feigning disinterest.

Feng Ying's smile widened, finding the situation increasingly entertaining.

The next day, Yang Kai approached Kate, patting her lightly on the head. "Kate, we're leaving," he said with a casual tone.

"All right," Kate replied as she stood up, seemingly unfazed.

Yang Kai blinked in surprise. She didn't react? he thought. I was sure she'd have some kind of response after I touched her head.

As if reading his thoughts, Kate shot him a sharp glare. "Don't get too arrogant," she said, her voice tinged with warning. "I'll allow small actions like that, but only because it's a new experience for me."

"Madam," Yang Kai replied, trying to mask his grin, "such sweet words shouldn't be paired with such killing intent."

"Enough chatter. Let's go," Kate said curtly, flying ahead without another glance.

Watching her retreating figure, Feng Ying walked up to Yang Kai, a teasing glint in her eyes. "Captain, it looks like your future with her will be anything but easy."

"It all depends on one's effort," Yang Kai replied confidently, determined to face the challenge.

"Captain," Feng Ying added with a sly smile, "once Ms. Kate shows vulnerability, seize the opportunity. If you don't, she'll come back as an impenetrable fortress once she regains her composure."

Yang Kai nodded, appreciating the advice. "You're right. Thanks for the reminder," he said, quickly following after Kate.

After a long journey, Kate arrived outside the Blue Sky Pass, her sudden presence alarming the stationed cultivators. However, before any action could be taken, the Old Ancestor emerged, his voice calm and commanding.

"Everyone, do not be alarmed," the Old Ancestor declared. "She will enter with me, Yang Kai, and the other Garrison Chiefs." His reassurance quickly eased the tension among the crowd.

Sometime later, in an open space within the Pass, the gathered cultivators exchanged tense glances as they observed the peculiar visitor.

"Is that the Inked Disciple who dares to ask for my Profound Fish in exchange for mere information?" Wu Qing said, his tone laced with disdain.

Kate, unfazed, glanced at the crowd. "Why is there such a large audience? What, are you all planning to gang up on this little girl?" she asked with a mocking smile.

"Hmph! You certainly have guts to strut around in our Blue Sky Pass," Zhong Liang snapped.

"Of course I do," Kate retorted, her tone sharp. "Why wouldn't I, when I have the means to leave whenever I please?"

"Enough," the Old Ancestor interjected, silencing the tension. "Wu Qing, show her the Profound Fish."

"Yes, Old Ancestor," Wu Qing replied, opening his Small Universe.

Kate's eyes narrowed as she observed the revealed treasure. "Is that the Profound Fish? Just a pond?" she remarked skeptically.

Her expression shifted when a massive black-and-white koi fish leapt gracefully from the pond, radiating an extraordinary aura.

"That is the Profound Fish," Wu Qing confirmed, his voice steady.

Kate studied the mystical creature carefully. If this fish is alive, I may not be able to copy it. But since it's a treasure, there's still a chance.

She raised her hand, focusing her power. An illusory image of the black-and-white koi fish materialized in the air, shimmering faintly. The illusion began to solidify, its colors and form becoming indistinguishable from the original.

Gasps and murmurs filled the space as the audience stared in shock and awe. Kate stood still, her focus unbroken, as the copy of the Profound Fish fully manifested before her.

Here's a refined version of your scene:

After some time, Kate finished copying the Profound Fish and opened a small portal to her Small Universe, carefully placing the Profound Fish within the World Spring. As she observed the interaction, her expression shifted to one of surprise.

"What's wrong?" Wu Qing asked, noticing her reaction.

"It's nothing," Kate replied, her tone thoughtful. "I just realized a hidden feature that emerges when you possess multiple Universe Four Pillars."

The Old Ancestor's eyes narrowed with interest. "Is it true that you can copy anything?" he asked, stepping closer.

Kate met his gaze, her confidence unwavering. "Yes, that's correct."

"Then, can you copy this?" the Old Ancestor said, producing a bag from within his robes. He opened it slightly, revealing a faint glow from within.

"Is that the Old Ancestor's hidden artifact?" Zhong Liang exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.

"An artifact of a Ninth Rank Open Heaven?" Kate's eyes sparkled with excitement as she fixated on the bag.

As soon as Kate peered into the bag, a hidden soul attack surged forth, striking her and forcibly separating her soul from her body. Reacting instantly, the Old Ancestor launched a powerful palm strike at Kate's defenseless form. However, her Divine Ability Manifestation: Yin-Yang Divine Mirror activated automatically, intercepting the attack.

"ANOTHER ONE!" the Old Ancestor exclaimed, his shock evident. Undeterred, he unleashed a second strike, this time with 30% of his strength. The force shattered the Yin-Yang Divine Mirror, but before Yang Kai could step in to purify Kate, another mirror materialized, once again blocking his approach.

"What is this!?" gasped the onlookers, their disbelief mounting.

The Old Ancestor attempted another strike, but before he could land it, Kate's eyes flew open. Realizing she was under siege, her expression twisted with rage.

"BUNCH OF OLD FOOLS!" Kate roared, summoning hundreds of Gates of Babylon in a dazzling display of power. But almost all of them were struck down and shattered before they could fully deploy, leaving Kate visibly stunned.

"WHAT!?" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with panic. She attempted to flee, but Wu Qing stepped into her path, blocking her escape. The rest of the crowd unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, forcing Kate to retreat further into defense.

"I can't escape!" Kate thought, her mind racing as she attempted to teleport. But her face fell when she realized, "THE SPACE IS BLOCKED!"

With no other options, Kate's body began emitting waves of Ink Force, the ominous energy surging outward.

"She's trying to release her Ink Force!" Zhong Liang shouted, alarmed. But before the dark energy could spread further, a powerful barrier emerged, encasing Kate entirely.

"HUH!?" Kate exclaimed, momentarily taken aback. "The Pass's Restriction Array?" She heaved a sigh of frustration, her breaths heavy.

"You old dogs," Kate growled, her tone venomous. "Once I get out of here, I'll show you something good."

Her words hung in the air like a threat, but her mind was spinning. "Of course, that's a bluff," she admitted to herself. "I might be able to handle one or two Eight Rank Open Heaven Masters, but not this many."

"Where's Yang Kai?" Kate demanded, scanning the crowd for him.

"I sent him somewhere," Zhong Liang replied curtly, his expression unreadable.

"Being able to block about 25% of my power is magnificent," the Old Ancestor of Blue Sky Pass remarked, raising a massive palm of pure energy above Kate.

"Wha- What are you planning?" Kate stammered, her eyes widening in alarm. She opened a Gate of Babylon beside her, and the hilt of EA emerged, exuding an overwhelming sense of danger that swept through the battlefield. Grabbing the weapon with both hands, she aimed it at the enormous palm descending from the heavens.

"I'LL DIE IF I DON'T BLOCK THIS!" Kate thought frantically.

"BEGONE!!!" she screamed, unleashing a full-force attack.

The devastating energy from EA clashed with the gigantic palm, obliterating it in a cataclysmic explosion. However, the sheer exertion left Kate coughing blood.

"I used too much World Force I panicked," Kate thought, a pang of regret flashing across her face as she attempted to flee.

Before she could escape, a golden barrier materialized in front of her, blocking her path. A shadowy figure appeared within the barrier, moving with blinding speed. Before Kate could react, she was struck hard, her body smashed violently back to the ground.

Ignoring the pain, Kate immediately scrambled to her feet, desperate to escape. But before she could take another step, a swift blow to the nape of her neck sent her crumpling to the ground, unconscious.

Standing beside her unconscious body, the Old Ancestor of Yin-Yang Pass sighed. "You're strong I'll give you that. But it seems you've rushed your cultivation from the Saint Realm to the Open Heaven Realm. You don't know how to fight."

"Indeed," the Old Ancestor of Blue Sky Pass agreed. "I held back deliberately. Her panic earlier proves she solves her problems by overwhelming her opponents rather than skill."

Yang Kai appeared on the scene, bowing respectfully. "Thanks to the Old Ancestors, this will proceed much quicker."

The two Old Ancestors extended their hands, preparing to suppress Kate further. Suddenly, her Yin Yang Divine Mirror, Divine Ability Manifestation activated again, with four manifestations appearing at once at each hand.

But to everyone's shock, the manifestations flickered and then disappeared.

"What happened? Did she run out of World Force?" Yang Kai asked, puzzled.

"No," the Old Ancestor of Yin-Yang Pass replied. "It's likely because she's unconscious. A Divine Ability cannot maintain itself without the caster's consciousness."

"I see," Yang Kai muttered. He began purifying Kate, and a staggering amount of Ink Force dissipated, shocking everyone, including the Old Ancestors.

"How did she accumulate so much Ink Force?" the Old Ancestor of Yin-Yang Pass asked.

"To answer the Old Ancestor," Yang Kai began respectfully, "Kate's Ink Force is peculiar. Her Small Universe isn't corroded, yet she can absorb Ink Force and convert it into World Force. She also lacks the loyalty typically associated with Inked Disciples."

"That is indeed strange," the Old Ancestor mused.

"In combat, she's exceptionally powerful for her level," the Old Ancestor continued, "but she seems inexperienced."

"Perhaps," Yang Kai suggested, "because she advances her cultivation by copying treasures and heavenly materials rather than through traditional means."

"I see," the Old Ancestor said thoughtfully. "This concludes my part. I can't leave my Pass for too long. Wu Qing, let's go."

Before departing, the Old Ancestor added, "Will she willingly part with her treasures?"

"I'm sorry, but she'd rather die than let her collection be taken," Yang Kai replied with certainty.

"I see. It would be good if we could borrow her other Profound Fish. Speak to her about it. If she refuses, don't force her she's a talent. Her cooperation will be far more valuable, especially since she can singlehandedly annihilate an army."

With that, the Old Ancestor of Yin-Yang Pass departed alongside Wu Qing.

Meanwhile, inside Kate's Knowledge Sea, she stood atop an endless violet expanse, letting out a long sigh. "Situations always change on the battlefield," she murmured, her gaze lost in the swirling waters below.

"Lately, nothing seems to align with my plans," she said, shaking her head.

"I've lived far too long," Kate continued, her voice heavy with the weight of millennia. "Back on Planet Ur, society advanced to such a degree that the average human lifespan extended to 800 years. Then came the New High Humans immortal beings. I became one of them through my research. The Revenant Army refused to let go of my work, using it as the backbone for the Inter-Universal War that ultimately devastated Planet Ur."

Kate's expression darkened as she reflected. "I've been alive for 10,000 years. My mind functions so efficiently that the Eden Research Group was able to comprehend the essence of existence itself. From that understanding, we created the Void Archive."

She gazed at the horizon of her Knowledge Sea, her thoughts unraveling as if reviewing a story written long ago. "Everything in the universe has data. The Void Archive works by copying, recording, and recreating that data through magic."

Kate's tone grew bitter. "In the final days of Planet Ur's development, we discovered something extraordinary a structure in the brain of High Humans we called the Calculi. It's a part of the brain capable of manipulating data on a profound level. With that knowledge, we perfected the Void Archive. But when we presented our findings to the higher-ups, they were so terrified that they were willing to detonate Planet Ur just to erase it."

She clenched her fists, her voice tinged with both anger and sorrow. "When that order came, my colleagues resigned themselves to their fate. But I didn't. I was a slave to their demands, building weapons capable of annihilating planets. I realized that if I could secure the Void Archive for myself, I could finally live my life on my own terms."

Her tone softened as she recalled the moments that followed. "But my best friend... she embedded a curse within the Void Archive an additional set of data to bind me. And then there was that mysterious being who appeared out of nowhere. From that point on, I found myself here."

Kate chuckled softly, the sound hollow. "Traveling through the universes of books I've read and games I've played, growing stronger and stronger. Yet I've never had the chance for character development because I'm too powerful."

Her expression turned serious as her thoughts shifted to recent events. "But meeting those Old Monsters taught me a lesson. I thought I could take on one of them, but I underestimated what it means to face a Ninth Rank Open Heaven Cultivator. Even those Eighth Ranks might have been holding back because of Yang Kai. He's their ace, after all."

Kate sighed again, a faint smile crossing her lips. "Still... I enjoy this kind of life, even if it moves too fast."

"There's also the lie I told to Yang Kai's family," Kate murmured to herself, her voice tinged with regret. "How can I ever face them after telling such a massive lie?"

She received no answer, only the silence of her Knowledge Sea stretching endlessly around her. "Maybe I could find a Small Universe somewhere and live the rest of my days in peace," Kate mused. "But if it's a Small Universe, the people there likely don't even have universes within their bodies they'd be too weak. And becoming a god to them? That just sounds... boring."

She sighed, shaking her head. "Maybe if I had another chance... but isn't this already my second chance?" A wry smile crossed her lips. "Guess I'd have to ask for a third one."

Her smile turned regretful, her eyes misting over. "I shouldn't have told that lie," Kate admitted, her voice breaking slightly as tears welled up in her eyes.

After a moment, she took a deep breath and wiped her tears away. "My body still hasn't woken up, and judging by how things feel, my injuries must be pretty bad. Looks like I have no choice but to reflect on my actions... and take this time to deepen my understanding of the Five Elements."

With newfound determination, Kate straightened herself, her violet sea glowing faintly as she prepared to focus inward.

Meanwhile, in an endless abyss illuminated by a massive screen, multiple figures watched Kate with varying expressions of interest and concern.

"Milady, why did you choose this woman? She seems... incomplete," one voice queried, laced with skepticism.

"Milady chose her because she is the Denominator of her Universe," a calm and authoritative female voice replied.

"Not to mention the Void Archives she created that herself," a manly voice interjected. "There's undeniable talent in her. But that talent was stifled she was forbidden to do anything but research and construct tools. Her potential never had the chance to develop fully."

"True," another figure added, "but ever since she was transported to the Martial Universe Branch, she became so powerful that she stopped learning altogether."

"Yang Kai would have been the better choice to manage that Universe Tree Branch," someone argued.

"That may be," the female voice responded coolly, "but we all know that being a Denominator is a requirement to serve as a Universe Tree Branch Guardian. He does not meet that qualification."

The atmosphere shifted as the Mysterious Being, seated at the center of the gathering, spoke. "Give her time. I am never wrong when it comes to judging potential. That's why all of you are here. She has what it takes; she simply needs to grow stronger. If she doesn't want to use her head anymore, then her only option is to overwhelm her enemies by tenfold."

The group murmured in agreement. "Milady is right," they said in unison.

"Enough about Kate," the Mysterious Being said, turning her gaze to the screen. "What's happening on the enemy's side?"

"Milady, the leader of the enemy has yet to reveal themselves," the female voice reported. "They seem to be waiting for you to leave the Universe Tree."

"They're after Milady's Chaos Tree," the manly voice added, his tone grim.

"It matters not," the Mysterious Being declared. "What we must focus on is protecting the Universe Leaves. Our foundation cannot be allowed to weaken further. We've already lost one Universe Tree Branch our priority now is safeguarding what remains until the Chaos Universe Tree can heal itself."

Her voice echoed with finality as she dismissed them. "That is all. You are dismissed."

With a chorus of acknowledgments, the figures vanished into the abyss, leaving the Mysterious Being alone with the massive screen, her gaze lingering on Kate's image.

After two years within the Dawn Squad Camp, Yang Kai entered a modest residence with only two rooms. He quietly stepped into one of the rooms, dimly lit and filled with an eerie stillness. In the center, Kate's body lay motionless, still asleep after all this time.

"I wonder what's going on... Why haven't you woken up?" Yang Kai murmured, his voice tinged with concern, though he received no reply.

"Is there a problem within her Knowledge Sea?" he pondered, pacing a few steps. The thought of entering her Knowledge Sea crossed his mind. "Should I try to see for myself? I'm sure she'd be furious with me if I did that."

Yang Kai sighed as his gaze lingered on Kate's still form. "All of my wives bear that violet lotus tattoo on their foreheads. They said it was a gift from her. But I've never seen her with it at least not before she entered the Ink Battlefield. Since then, it's been there on her forehead too. Did they speak before she entered the Void Corridor?"

Curiosity flickered in his eyes as he reached out, gently placing two fingers on her wrist to examine her condition.

"Her body is perfectly fine... So why hasn't she woken up? Is it because I expelled all that Ink Force from her? She had so much of it, it was unlike anything I'd ever seen," he mused aloud.

His gaze softened as he observed her features. "Her body's changed so much over the years," he said to himself. "When I first met her, she had jet-black hair and eyes. Then, they turned white, and her eyes became Brown. And now... the ends of her hair look like a sea of stars, and her eyes have become heterochromatic. It's as if her very essence keeps evolving."

He let out a deep sigh, his heart heavy with unease. "Kate, just what are you hiding? And why won't you wake up?"

After some time, Kate's eyes began to flicker.

"Kate!" Yang Kai exclaimed, excitement and relief in his voice.

Her eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the dimly lit room. "Yang Kai?" she asked, her voice faint but steady.

"It's me," Yang Kai replied with a warm smile. "It's good that you're awake."

Kate blinked a few times, her thoughts settling. "How long have I been asleep?" she asked.

"You've been asleep for two years," Yang Kai replied.

Kate furrowed her brow, processing the information as she forced herself to sit up despite her body's weakness. "Help me up to the bed," she said.

Yang Kai quickly moved to support her, guiding her as she sat properly. "Take it easy. You need to recover," he urged.

Ignoring his concern, Kate looked at him seriously. "Teach me the Dao of Time," she said.

"The Dao of Time?" Yang Kai asked, surprised.

"Yeah," Kate affirmed with determination. "You don't have to worry about me. I'm quite compatible with it I have Dragon Essence in my body, after all."

Yang Kai hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Alright, but this will take a long time. The Dao of Time isn't something you can grasp easily."

Kate gave him a faint smirk, her resolve unwavering. "I'll learn it. No matter how long it takes."

After ten years of diligent cultivation, in the Dawn Squad camp where Kate resided, Western Army Commander Zhong Liang landed in front of Yang Kai's residence. Feng Ying stepped forward to greet him.

"Senior Liang, what brings you here?" Feng Ying asked politely.

"Where's Yang Kai?" Zhong Liang asked, his tone firm.

"The Captain has been in Miss Kate's room for about ten years now," Feng Ying replied.

"WHAT?!" Zhong Liang exclaimed, his voice booming. "What are those two doing at such a critical time?"

"Senior Liang, the Captain is teaching Miss Kate the Dao of Time," Feng Ying explained, her words calming Zhong Liang.

"They're still not done?" Zhong Liang asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The last time they came out was about five years ago. The two of them sparred, and then they went straight back to cultivation. They haven't exited since," Feng Ying said.

"I see," Zhong Liang muttered.

Suddenly, the door to Yang Kai's residence swung open.

"Finally!" Yang Kai exclaimed as he stepped out, relief evident on his face. "Your attainment in the Dao of Time should now be on par with mine. I've taught you everything I know about it inside my Universe World. What would've taken forty years, you've grasped in ten thanks to your exceptional comprehension."

"Thanks," Kate replied, stepping out of the residence.

Her gaze fell upon Zhong Liang, and she greeted him with a respectful bow. "Hello, Army Commander. We haven't met until now, and I hope you can forgive my actions from that time."

"It's fine. That situation was complicated and special. Let's leave it in the past," Zhong Liang replied, waving off her concern.

Yang Kai stepped forward to greet Zhong Liang as well. "Senior, what brings you here?"

"We've decided who will inherit the World Spring," Zhong Liang explained. "I actually came here eight years ago, but you two were in retreat. So, I had to wait until now."

"Then let's go," Yang Kai said decisively.

"Good," Zhong Liang replied, turning to fly away, with Yang Kai following close behind.

As they soared through the skies, Zhong Liang couldn't help but grumble, "Young brat, how can you stay in retreat for ten years?"

"This junior was simply teaching his wife the Dao of Time, as she has remarkable talent for it," Yang Kai replied with a smile.

Meanwhile, back at Kate's residence, Feng Ying welcomed her warmly. "Junior Sister Kate, welcome back."

"Thank you, Senior Sister," Kate replied with a soft smile.

"What are your plans now?" Feng Ying asked.

"For now, I plan to further my Dao attainments," Kate replied.

"I see. That reminds me, what Dao are you pursuing?" Feng Ying asked curiously.

"For now, I've grasped quite a lot. I possess the four Primordial Daos," Kate said.

"Primordial Daos?" Feng Ying asked, intrigued.

Kate's expression turned serious. "I'll explain something to you, but you must not tell anyone."

"Okay, I promise," Feng Ying said, nodding firmly.

"From the beginning, Chaos divided into the Yin-Yang Grand Daos the Genesis and Terminus Daos. The Genesis and Terminus Grand Daos then divided into the Five Element Daos, which, in turn, birthed all the myriad Grand Daos," Kate explained. "There are four Primordial Grand Daos: Genesis, Terminus, Space, and Time."

"The Genesis and Terminus Primordial Grand Daos are responsible for the creation and dissolution of all the myriad Grand Daos, while Space and Time, alongside the myriad Grand Daos, form the structure of the 3,000 Worlds," Kate said, surprising Feng Ying.

"THEN YOU HAVE THE FOUR PRIMORDIAL GRAND DAOS?!" Feng Ying exclaimed in shock.

"That's right. It's also one of the reasons my Small Universe's foundation is so deep and far superior to others, even Yang Kai's," Kate said calmly.

"I see. That explains many things," Feng Ying said, processing the revelation. "Then the technique you used to split that Universe World was that the Terminus Dao?"

"That's correct. I simply erased the very middle of it, making it look as though it had been split with a sword. But in reality, that part was just deleted," Kate explained.

"Amazing! The Old Ancestor's decision to purify you instead of killing you was-" Feng Ying stopped mid-sentence, realizing her words. She quickly bowed. "I'm sorry for my rude behavior just now. Please forgive me."

Kate shook her head with a faint smile. "It's fine. I don't mind."

"I'm truly sorry," Feng Ying insisted.

"Like I said, it's okay," Kate reassured her. "But my comprehension of the Terminus Dao is still quite limited. I can't use it freely yet because it must balance with the Genesis Dao. Otherwise, my body could be destroyed."

"I see. But even being able to touch upon the Genesis and Terminus Daos is already heaven-defying. Junior Sister, your talent is truly extraordinary," Feng Ying said, her admiration evident.

"Then may I see how the Genesis Element can be used?" Feng Ying asked excitedly.

Kate nodded. "I see. Then watch carefully."

She lifted her hand, and an illusion of an Origin King Rank Sword Artifact began to form above her palm. Moments later, it materialized fully, falling gently into Kate's hands.

"This is how you use the Genesis Dao," Kate said, examining the sword. "My attainments are not that deep yet, so I can only create something of this level. However, as I further my comprehension of the Genesis Dao, I'll naturally be able to create higher-rank artifacts or even cultivation materials."

"REALLY?! THAT'S AMAZING!" Feng Ying exclaimed, her voice filled with awe.

Kate glanced at the sword thoughtfully. "With just this, I've already used 10 percent of my World Force. The consumption is too great for this to be practical in battle," she mused silently.

Kate stepped forward and attempted to slash with the sword she had just created, but midway through, it shattered into countless pieces.

"Junior Sister, that won't do. Only Emperor Rank Artifacts or higher can contain World Force," Feng Ying explained.

"Then what if I changed the material used?" Kate asked.

"It still wouldn't be able to contain World Force. That artifact will be useless for us Open Heaven Rank Masters," Feng Ying replied firmly.

Kate frowned in thought. "But I can pour World Force into EA… What about the other Noble Phantasms?" she wondered aloud.

A shimmering Gate of Babylon materialized before her, and the hilt of Gram emerged from within.

"Let's see if this sword can handle World Force," Kate said as she grasped the hilt and drew Gram. She carefully poured a small amount of her World Force into the blade, which reacted immediately, glowing with a vibrant energy.

"It works. Looks like High-Rank Noble Phantasms can contain World Force," Kate remarked with satisfaction.

Feng Ying, however, drew her own sword with a gleam in her eyes. "Then we must test if it's reliable in battle."

Kate nodded, readying herself.

Feng Ying dashed toward Kate at astonishing speed, her movements a blur. Kate managed to block Feng Ying's slash with Gram, but with that simple block, a powerful arc of energy fired from the blade, obliterating a line of trees in the distance.

"What was that?" Feng Ying asked as she leaped back to retreat.

"Every single one of my Noble Phantasms has abilities unique to it," Kate replied, glancing at Gram. "It seems the ability of this sword has changed now that I'm using World Force instead of mana," she thought to herself.

Kate swung Gram multiple times, sending a barrage of arcs toward Feng Ying. Feng Ying deftly blocked each attack, the force shattering the arcs midair.

"Then let's try this," Kate said as Gram dissolved into golden dust and disappeared. Another Gate of Babylon opened beside her, and the hilt of Niflheim emerged. Kate grabbed it immediately and poured her World Force into the blade. The sword began to glow with an icy brilliance, emitting an intense cold that froze the surrounding area in an instant.

Not wasting a moment, Kate leaped into the air. "Taste the power of someone who has complete control over the Ice Element!" she declared. Niflheim grew larger in her hands as she descended, chopping toward Feng Ying with tremendous force.

"I can't block that!" Feng Ying thought as she desperately dodged the strike. The impact missed her, but it created an enormous spike of ice. From that spike, countless smaller spikes erupted, racing toward Feng Ying.

Feng Ying ran and blocked the spikes as best she could, her movements growing more desperate. She glanced at the massive ice structure now dominating the battlefield. "I can't see a thing! The freezing mist is blocking my Divine Sense?" she muttered in frustration.

Suddenly, she noticed Niflheim flying toward her at incredible speed. "She threw her weapon?" Feng Ying thought in shock as she swung her own sword to intercept it. Her strike deflected Niflheim, sending it crashing into the ground.

But before she could react further, Kate appeared behind her, aiming a powerful palm strike at her back.

"You're too predictable," Feng Ying said as she turned swiftly to counter. Their palms collided, creating an explosive shockwave that sent both of them flying backward.

"Kate is indeed inexperienced in battle," Feng Ying thought as she steadied herself, "but her overall strength is still terrifying."

Suddenly, her instincts flared, and she jumped back just in time to dodge three swords that slammed into the ground where she had stood. The impact caused a massive explosion, kicking up debris and obscuring the battlefield in smoke.

While Feng Ying was obscured by the smoke, Kate formed a seal on her right hand. "EXPLODE!" she shouted, and the three swords detonated simultaneously.

"ARGH!" Feng Ying cried out as she was engulfed by the explosions, the force hurling her into a wall and leaving a massive dent. Niflheim flew back into Kate's hands as she immediately dashed toward Feng Ying, attempting to stab her. Feng Ying managed to dodge at the last second, but when Kate's weapon struck the wall, an enormous ice spike erupted on the other side.

Thinking quickly, Feng Ying counterattacked, but a Gate of Babylon opened, and a sword materialized to block her strike. Kate slashed at Feng Ying, who retreated just in time. Kate's attack hit another wall, causing even more massive ice spikes to sprout on the far side.

"She's incredibly strong," Feng Ying thought, panting as she observed Kate. "Her movements are full of openings, but when you exploit them, her Divine Ability Manifestation or that strange golden portal summoning weapons counters your attack, and she retaliates with overwhelming force."

As Feng Ying scanned the battlefield, she lost sight of Kate. A chill crept up her spine, a sensation of imminent danger. Trusting her instincts, she barely dodged Kate's attack, stepping aside as Kate's new weapon a spear glinted menacingly in the light.

"BEGONE!" Kate shouted, swinging her spear like a baseball bat and launching Feng Ying out of the pass.

Outside the pass, Feng Ying staggered to her feet, battered and bruised. "I couldn't land a single hit on her," she muttered, feeling a mix of embarrassment and awe. Looking up, she saw Kate hovering in the air.

"So you used your Divine Ability Manifestation? Don't blame me for going all out now," Feng Ying said, summoning her own Divine Ability Manifestation.

"She's serious now," Kate thought, gripping her weapon tightly. "But this fight is exhilarating I can feel myself growing stronger by the second."

As Gáe Bolg dissolved into golden dust, Feng Ying noticed multiple blue swords materializing around her. Simultaneously, a Gate of Babylon opened beside Kate, and she drew an enormous fiery sword, Sul-Sagana. Pouring a significant amount of World Force into it, the blade grew massive, emanating intense heat.

"How does she have so many trump cards?" Feng Ying thought as she commanded the hundred blue swords hovering around her to attack.

In response, Kate opened a hundred Gates of Babylon, summoning weapons to counter the incoming swords.

"I'll end this here!" Kate declared as Sul-Sagana flared, its length growing until it spanned nearly 300 meters, like a blazing horizon in the sky.

"She can still make it stronger?!" Feng Ying exclaimed in disbelief. "That sword is massive!"

"LET'S GO!" Feng Ying shouted as her blue dragon Divine Ability flew with her, aiming to strike Kate.

Kate swung the colossal Sul-Sagana, its sheer size forcing Feng Ying to dodge, though not without suffering multiple heavy injuries. The blade cleaved through several mountains behind Feng Ying, leaving a trail of destruction.

As Feng Ying made her final desperate move, Kate's Yin-Yang Divine Mirror activated, reflecting 40% of the attack back toward Feng Ying.

"Her Divine Ability bounces my attacks back at me?!" Feng Ying thought, coughing up blood as she felt the recoil of her own power. "BREAK!" she yelled, mustering all her strength to pierce through the Divine Mirror.

To her horror, Kate blocked the attack with her dragon claw, though she was visibly bleeding. Kate's body suddenly faltered as she lost consciousness, plunging toward the ground.

"Looks like I pushed myself too far," Kate thought before closing her eyes.

Before she could crash, Yang Kai appeared, catching her midair. Feng Ying approached them, her expression a mix of worry and relief as she prepared to consult Kate's condition.

Some time later, in front of Yang Kai's residence:

"Little brat, your wife did great in this fight!" Zhong Liang said with a hearty laugh.

"Indeed, I didn't expect that kind of power from her," Lu An added, nodding in approval.

"Martial Uncle is right," Feng Ying chimed in. "I expected a tough fight when we sparred, but I didn't anticipate that level of resistance."

"It's a good thing you two were only sparring," Zhong Liang said, his tone more serious. "If she were still an Inked Disciple and attacked our Blue Sky Pass, she'd be a huge problem."

Just then, Yang Kai emerged from the residence.

"How is she, Captain?" Feng Ying asked.

"She's fine," Yang Kai replied. "She just exhausted herself."

"With that amount of World Force being poured into her weapons, she'd run out eventually, no matter how massive her reserves," Lu An commented thoughtfully.

"Martial Uncle Lu, I don't think she considers those weapons artifacts," Feng Ying corrected. "She referred to them as Noble Phantasms."

"Noble Phantasms?" Lu An repeated, curious. "What are those?"

"This junior might have some insight," Yang Kai said. "All my wives possess something called a Divine Key, which allows them to summon those golden circular portals Kate uses to call forth and fire her Noble Phantasms. She's even given my other wives their own Noble Phantasms, tailored to their fighting styles."

Yang Kai continued, "For example, one of my wives was given a golden chain that doesn't end. Once it binds someone, it can disturb the flow of Emperor Qi and possibly even disrupt World Force. The ice sword Kate used earlier, Niflheim, is one of those Noble Phantasms. While my other wives can also fire swords using the portals, the number they can summon depends on their cultivation level."

"Kate also mentioned during our fight that each Noble Phantasm has its own unique ability," Feng Ying added.

"That's not all," Yang Kai said. "She possesses a weapon capable of turning a Royal Lord to dust. I can't go into details, but on the day she first broke through to Open Heaven, she destroyed an injured Royal Lord and destabilized space-time with her attack."

"So, during the bombardment that day, she performed poorly because of her inexperience and panic?" Lu An asked.

"That's correct," Yang Kai confirmed. "It was the first time she'd been cornered, so she likely didn't know how to respond."

"That makes sense," Feng Ying said thoughtfully. "When I fought her, she had plenty of openings. But every time I tried to exploit one, those golden portals would activate, summoning a blade to block me. On top of that, her Divine Ability Manifestation could shield her, and she'd counterattack with overwhelming force. Fighting her is a nightmare because of her adaptability she's not proficient with any weapons but has exceptional talent with the sword.

"If you engage her in close range, she'll bring out a weapon with unique abilities, like that enormous fire sword. If you retreat, she'll switch to a bow or bombard you with countless swords. There's no easy way to handle her."

"Our fight went more smoothly," Feng Ying continued, "probably because we were testing the weapons' ability to store World Force. She limited herself to firing only three swords at a time and didn't unleash her full capabilities."

"Well, it looks like you had a hard time," Zhong Liang said with a chuckle.

"You should tend to your own injuries too," Lu An added.

"Yes, I will. Then, this junior shall take her leave," Feng Ying said, bowing before walking away.

Zhong Liang turned to Yang Kai with a sly grin. "Little brat, you mentioned having multiple wives. Once a fight breaks out among them, if I were you, I'd run so far I might end up near the Royal Lord's Ink Nest!"

Yang Kai sighed. "Senior, please don't joke about that. Before coming here, there was almost a fight between them. They didn't want Kate to come with me because of the dangers. Luckily, I managed to escape before it escalated."

Zhong Liang laughed heartily. "That fight of hers amazed everyone. It likely provided insights and boosted the army's morale too."

"Indeed," Lu An agreed. "You two arrived a bit late, but during the fight, Junior Kate's ferocity and development in her attacks were evident. Every swing of her sword unleashed an arc that destroyed the surroundings, and when she wielded that Niflheim sword, it became even more overwhelming to defend against.

"If she gains more experience, I'd say she could go toe-to-toe with a peak Eight Rank Open Heaven Master. In a life-and-death battle, she might even manage to surprise a Ninth Rank Open Heaven Master. She wouldn't win, of course, but she'd certainly make it a fight to remember."

"I see," Zhong Liang said thoughtfully. "Purifying her was indeed the right decision."

"She's already that incredible," Yang Kai thought to himself, feeling a mixture of pride and determination. "I need to work ten times harder!"

"Boy, you better come with me. I have something to tell you," Zhong Liang said as he flew away, leaving Yang Kai no choice but to follow.

In front of the World Spring inside Kate's Small Universe.

"Milady, here is the tea," Dr. Mei said, placing the cup gently before Kate.

"Milady, Chu Yuechan's reports remain unchanged," Dr. Mei continued.

"That's fine," Kate replied, her gaze calm. "In the future, those reports will prove invaluable. Once the Ink Clan breaks out of the Ink Battlefield and enters the 3000 Worlds, her work will guide us."

"Milady, are you certain about allowing others to start cultivating here?" Dr. Mei asked hesitantly.

"It's fine," Kate said with a small smile. "The highest realm they can achieve here is the Minor Realm of the Emperor Realm the Dao Seal Realm. However, once they start cultivating, they won't be able to return to their respective universes."

Dr. Mei nodded in understanding. "Have you confirmed the universes tied to that enormous tree?"

"For now, there are only seven," Dr. Mei reported. "Five have civilizations, two remain primitive, and three are advanced enough to be of assistance."

"I see. That's promising," Kate said as she sipped her tea, her eyes lingering on the shimmering World Spring.

"The World Spring has improved significantly since the Profound Fish was placed here," Kate remarked, a hint of pride in her voice. "Originally, I planned to house the Universe Four Pillars here purely for collection purposes. I never anticipated this kind of reaction."

She continued, "The stability of my Small Universe has improved so much that I no longer need to restrain myself when pouring World Force into something."

"Milady, I have another report," Dr. Mei interjected.

"What is it?" Kate asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Following our plans to develop mechs, I've invented something I call the World Force Drive Engine," Dr. Mei announced.

Kate's eyebrows rose. "The World Force Drive Engine? Explain."

"It can utilize Milady's World Force as its power source," Dr. Mei elaborated. "With further development, it might even use World Force for offensive capabilities."

"Interesting. So, I could act as both its battery and pilot," Kate said, a glint of excitement in her eyes.

"Exactly. I'll establish a new department dedicated to its development," Dr. Mei offered.

"That's your call," Kate said, her tone light. "Just don't forget to visit the Void Archives regularly to review Chu Yuechan's reports and stay updated on the situation outside."

"Speaking of the Void Archives, Milady, perhaps we should anchor them here instead of keeping them within your Knowledge Sea?" Dr. Mei suggested.

Kate's gaze turned thoughtful. "You're right. Since I plan to store all treasures I find here, it's fitting that the Void Archives the most precious treasure be housed here as well."

A luminous cube appeared in her palm, shimmering with mysterious energy. She smiled softly as she gazed at it, then turned her attention back to the World Spring.

Kate threw the Void Archives, and as it hit the ground, it transformed into a grandiose pavilion, its elegant design radiating an ancient and mystical aura.

"Milady, is this the Void Archive?" Dr. Mei asked, marveling at the structure.

"Yes," Kate replied with a slight smile. "Initially, I planned to make it a castle, but I changed my mind it wouldn't fit well here."

Kate began walking toward the pavilion, her steps deliberate. "You can enter it simply by thinking about entering the Void Archives," she explained.

As they neared the structure, Kate added, "For now, my focus is on searching for the Universe Four Pillars."

"Milady, I have a suggestion," Dr. Mei said cautiously.

"What is it?" Kate asked, pausing to look at her.

"How about sending a message to the High Heaven Palace to search for them? Using Milady's reputation as Madam, we could direct the search through Chu Yuechan," Dr. Mei proposed.

Kate considered the idea, her expression thoughtful. "That could work, but it would compromise Chu Yuechan's connection to us," she said after a moment.

Her eyes glinted with inspiration as a new idea struck her. "No, I've just thought of something else," she said.

"What is it, Milady?" Dr. Mei inquired, intrigued.

"We can send help to Yang Kai's wives," Kate said with a confident smile.

Meanwhile, in the courtyard of Qing Luo's residence:

"Sisters, it's my win again!" Xue Yue declared with a triumphant grin.

"Ugh, why are you so lucky today?" Qing Luo grumbled.

"It's my loss for the fourth time," Hua Chang sighed.

"I lost again," Ling Wan added, shaking her head in defeat.

"It's rare for us to gather like this, yet we're wasting it on a mahjong game," Ji Yao said, folding her arms.

"Indeed, but what else can we do besides gambling?" Xue Yue countered with a shrug.

"How about a fight?" Zhu Qing suggested, her eyes lighting up.

"What do you think, Sister Yan?" Ning Chang asked.

Su Yan shook her head thoughtfully. "We can't go into retreat since we all just broke through and need experience, but we can't simply go out and fight anyone either. With the Void Land and Star Boundary's reputations soaring, almost everyone knows us as the Madams of these two universe worlds. No one would dare to challenge us. I'm not sure what we should do next, but refining materials feels pointless since we've been ordered to take a break."

"I'm bored," Zhu Qing admitted, leaning back with a sigh.

"I wonder how things are on that side," Xue Yue mused.

"I bet Junior Sister Kate is having a good time," Shan Qing Luo added with a smile.

Suddenly, the tattoos on their foreheads glowed, casting a faint light around the group. Everyone immediately grew alert as a Gate of Babylon materialized in front of them. A scroll emerged slowly from the portal, suspended in the air.

"This is the first time this has happened," Yu Ru Meng said cautiously, watching the scroll float toward them.

"I wonder what's going on," the group thought in unison as they carefully unrolled and began reading the mysterious scroll.

"Hello, Big Sisters. It's me, Kate, hoping everyone can lend a hand," Su Yan read aloud from the scroll.

"The current situation here is stable. I've been inked once already, so I'm asking for your help in searching for the two remaining Universe Four Pillars: Starry Night Sea and Full Sky Clouds. If you find any of the Universe Twelve Minor Pillars, they'll also be of great use to us and to you all as well. Please search for these if you have time.

The two Universe Four Pillars we're searching for are rumored to be in Shattered Heaven, so starting there might be your best chance. However, be careful it's extremely dangerous.

On another note, Yang Kai has broken through to Seventh Rank Open Heaven Realm Master and is treated as the greatest contributor here in the Ink Battlefield. Meanwhile, I've been recognized as someone capable of eradicating an entire Ink Clan army. So, you don't need to worry about us. Thanks for your help."

After finishing the scroll, everyone remained silent for a moment before Yu Ru Meng broke it.

"This is quite a heavy request, but it's also the first time she's needed help from us. What do you all say?" Yu Ru Meng asked, glancing at her sisters.

Her question was met with enthusiastic responses.

"This is perfect timing since we need experience anyway. Let's take this chance!" Shan Qing Luo said, excitement flickering in her eyes.

"Let's go on an adventure!" Zhu Qing chimed in, grinning.

"Husband has broken through to Seventh Rank. That's amazing!" Tao Ling Wan added, her tone filled with pride.

"Since the two of them are achieving such great contributions, we can't fall behind!" Xue Yue declared firmly.

"There are nine of us, so we can divide into four teams. However, someone will need to stay behind," Ji Yao pointed out.

"I'll stay behind," Su Yan volunteered. "I can coordinate the information from your reports and investigate here in the meantime." She looked at her scroll thoughtfully.

Yu Ru Meng narrowed her eyes slightly and smiled. "Oh? Looks like Yan'er has been given something special," she said, stepping closer to Su Yan.

"Don't hide anything from us, Yan'er. We're sisters we share everything," Yu Ru Meng teased as everyone leaned in curiously.

Reluctantly, Su Yan handed over her scroll.

"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed in unison.

"Sister Yan'er will be the one to deliver the Universe Four Pillars and Universe Minor Pillars! and she will also bring someone named Yang Yan" they shouted together, astonished.

"Did she state why?" Qu Hua Chang asked, her brows furrowed in curiosity.

"There's nothing in here," Yu Ru Meng replied, holding up the scroll, "but it does make sense. Yan'er is currently the strongest among us nine since she can transform into a Divine Spirit skilled in Space Principles."

"And don't forget," Yu Ru Meng added with a sly smile, "she's also Sister Kate's weakness."

The room grew quiet as the weight of her words sank in.

"As Kate mentioned she's been inked once already, I bet the Human Race had a hard time suppressing her. They probably don't want a similar situation to happen again," Yu Ru Meng continued, her tone firm and logical.

"That does make sense," Xue Yue said, nodding thoughtfully.

"Then we'll give everything we find to Sister Yan'er," Qu Hua Chang declared, determination lighting up her eyes.

"All right, everyone, let's plan what to do next," Yu Ru Meng said as she gestured toward the large round table in the center of the courtyard.

The sisters took their seats, the air buzzing with resolve as they prepared for their next adventure.
