Realm Wars 14 - The End

FRANCO'S POV

The chaos sea taking the form of a monstrous wolf had chills rolling down my spine. It tried to compress itself to be small yet remained just as large as a titan would be.

It gave the three wolves Hildelith had summoned a run for their money. Yet as it stood there facing off against the acclaimed number one, it was certain who was intimidated by who.

"Look at it shaking on its paws. It's dead and it knows it". The devilless chuckled slapping the ground in her laughter.

None of us spoke as we watched. Yet if the mother had been shocking us with each of her actions the next one did.

HELEN'S POV

The poor thing was nothing but a pawn, used to cause so much destruction. It was not to blame. Following its instincts to do what it did best. Devour and destroy. Return all life to the void.

Cole had simply instigated a scene where I fell for his ruse. Yet I was not angered by it, no I was pissed by the beat down he had given me. Without moving.

I thought Bali was dangerous, or the creator players a problem. But the real danger had been standing by me all this while smiling like a little child and throwing ideas everywhere.

Yet he was monstrous. But I knew that deep down he had been holding back. He truly believed what he did was for the best and it irked me even more.

Unfortunately, I could not vent on him. Which left this poor thing. I could easily destroy it with Aum, I think, or burn it into divinity with the spark.

Yet, I wanted to punch down. To make it feel the despair and agony my gods had felt at the moment before I landed. I saw it on their faces. The players had expected to lose their accounts, never gaining access back to Creator Online. The NPCs had just seen death. Both groups accepting it, and both groups throwing themselves to fight madly.

A simple destruction of this chaos sea would have made their stress worthless. No, I was going to make them see as it experienced the same feelings of despair they had felt in their supposed last moments.

But how do you beat an over-forty feet wolf while being only normal? I stared it down as it pranced about unsure of whether to attack or try to flee once more.

I narrowed my eyes at it. I knew just what it needed.

FRANCO'S POV

We watched her hands glow green. The realm shuddered once more but this time we saw a different effect. Two hills were submerged in green energy and ripped out of the ground from the east and floated toward her. Even as they flew to her held together by the strange green force, it was crumbled and crushed down to size.

The wolf noticing the approaching mountain of stones leaped at her. She jumped back and in place of her the earth beneath rose like a spire piercing through the wolf and out its back.

It snarled and whined as it tried to release itself. Yet she didn't care, The rocks gathered around her slapping onto her skin with speed. Divinity flowed out of her palms and into the earth, we heard her speak and the words while lost to us made the white mists of earlier seep from her skin and grasp unto the stones.

The rocks rolled up and assembled themselves into parts, arms, legs, a torso, and a head. The form was large ending at the wolf's chest. The cracks on the stone glowed white. Any who had seen Hilde's video with the golem armor would know this one was different.

The stone head possessed no eyes. No mouth or any facial features. Just a boulder set as a head.

It stood there unmoving for a second before its head rose and it looked around. Its arms raised and formed a palm that squeezed into fists then it stomped its foot. A crack appeared on the boulder forming holes for eyes. Stone and dust got drilled out as white light filled the new holes. Then she locked her gaze on the primordial chaos wolf.

"Fitting for a void wolf". her voice or the stone's voice boomed. Then like a projectile she launched herself at it.

HELEN'S POV

Like the thing found a bit of clarity it dissolved back into its former state and after slithering away from the spike it reformed into the wolf.

Its head had barely shifted into the wolf's head when I punched its chest sending it flying back. It was taller for now, so I would work on it. I rushed forward, all the various plans of making it suffer I had in my head increasing.

The wolf struggled to its feet and pounced. It bit down hoping to devour my arm. I braced myself with the arm of my left hand held out to catch it, gripping its maw with my right hand I headbutted it fiercely.

For a solid minute and a half, I dished out punches and kicks. Slaps and headbutts. I brought out all the repertoire of defense classes I had and heaped them on the wolf's head.

It escaped my grasp and transformed into an Argonne. I tilted my head as a spark of solid rage lit within me at its mockery of my creation. I dashed forward.

This time I was more brutal. I pushed out the divinity that flowed through the cracks of the titan I wore. The first hit was a slap to the Argonne's beak crushing it. The second was my knee to its gut. The Argonne was still taller which made me hiss in annoyance.

I made another golden ball and separated my spark from it. It was the only way to use the spark I knew now.

"Time to get smaller" I lashed out the white energy and cut through its feet. The steam of gold rushed into the atmosphere even as I spun and slashed off its left arm watching it drop away as another steam of gold joined the air.

The Argonne opened its reformed beak in a silent wail which I took as a chance to shove the energy into its throat if it had one.

The dense mist of gold released made me smirk even if I could not smirk. I'm yet to understand how I could possibly completely use this titan. The creature staggered back and away from me in obvious panic.

As I went to grab it something slammed into me from the side taking me down in a roll. Grabbing out blindly I grasped a head and then without hesitation, I sent a beam of divinity through the titan's palm.

The shrieks and sizzles reached my ears as I finally got a look.

"The cut arm became.." I dodged quickly just as the cut foot flew over my head. It was now reformed into a little eldritch monster with tentacles, a gaping maw, and a bony pair of wings. The arm I held turned to liquid and tried scurrying up my arm.

"Get off" I hissed as I grabbed at it. The entity was hard to grasp as it liquefied at my attempts to hold it. The stomping on the ground alerted me to the original chaos approaching.

My eyes snapped to him. The chaos in the form of a horned being halted a bit.

"So..." I managed to grab a slippery end of the thing running around my Titan body with the large rock hand. It twirled itself around my grip its shape reforming into that of a serpentine. The head rose then bit down on my knuckles earning a glance from me before I returned my gaze to the original.

"..you do feel fear." I squeezed willing at the embers within me and pulled it out with instructions.

Wisps of flames ran from the core of the giant earth armor and down into the golem's palm. Instead of the pure divine flame I expected, what came was a mix of colors. Red for ira, black for baleful, and gold for divine. The most prominent of them being red. The fire washed over the serpentine chaos in my grip its shrieks undulating even as my eyes remained unmoving from the original chaos.

It was a stare-down. The black humanoid was locked in terror as it watched its severed part get burned. Gold steam filled the air which made its black crystalline surface ripple a bit from nervousness.

A smirk stretched out on my cheeks unseen by the chaos.

"Good".The last of the serpentine chaos in hand burned to nothing. The original chaos shifted, a shriek tore from the side and despite all these, I moved.

I had no intention of simply winning. No. Cole might have been right in a very wrong way. But in the end, it had not been the U.I. that brought a feeling of despair to my known gods. It had not been the U.I. that pushed my children to throw all they had at it.

Yet It had not been enough. Whilst I fought Cole, or better phrased, got my ass kicked I heard all the prayers. Their terror, their pain, and their despair. Yet nothing had shaken me more than their doubt. Their forlorn assumptions that I would never show.

What was I doing? Proving myself to my gods and universe? Maybe. Amending for my errors and mistakes? Most likely. Making this thing know true despair? Definitely.

But no. This would not be it. Couldn't be it. While I still had little to no idea how this all came to be I knew one thing. This was a game. To the unknown gods. A game to the countless streamers and rising fans that watched from the real world.

To me, Creator Online had become something more. It showed me proof of my strength, of my achievements. Of how far and how much I could achieve by setting my mind to it.

From the Unknown to the Destroyer. The Ruler of Aswingnir and down to Bali. Each one was a foe that was better in some way than me at each moment. Each one slain by me and me alone.

I made the Holy Flame armors so yes it counts as me.

My victories, just as the known gods had their victories and the unknown gods their feats, filled them each with excitement and courage.

Yet the chaos entity had squashed that hope in them.

Ending it here would change nothing. It would simply stamp the fact that the gods were lesser. Which while true was no way to grow their morale. So I chose this way.

My fist slammed into its chest sending it back. Going down in a squat I evaded the leap from the second chaos entity in the form of a bipedal. It soared over my head it's maw snapping irritably. It barely landed as I moved.

The crux of all I had achieved flowed to become what I wished. Killslot activated as I sent a daemon fist into the bipedal entity.

The original roared as its chest exploded. I was already on it my right knee smashing into its abdomen. As it reeled my elbows were slamming down with Ira blasting onto it from my arms. The detonation, was huge, its screech, ear-splitting.

I grimaced at the sound while my heel ground its head into the earth. The entity seemed to suddenly have had enough as it screeched louder before pushing off the ground. Simultaneously I watched it feed off the ground, consuming more particles, and adding more mass to itself. The additional mass slicked out into a tentacle that whipped at me.

A leap back was enough to avoid the strike. My Titan's feet dug trenches into the earth as I halted myself watching as the tail shrunk and then split. More earth was devoured and the mass was added to the tails and body to make it harder.

"Who gave you permission to feed?!"

My voice was like thunder, heavy and authoritative, booming all around the chaos entity and halting its voracious feast on the grounds of Feyryire. Like a kid caught stealing it froze while slowly turning to face me.

The embers of Ira, Divine, and Baleful flickering all over my golem's arms vanished. My voice sounded out, low yet like a peal of thunder.

I filled divine energy into the crevices of the Titan. Weaved the tendrils as I willed the golden light to flow like a rush of angry waves all over the earthen titanic form.

"COSMIC DISPLACEMENT"

The Titan's normally white eyes burned gold, the edges of its face distorting as the light within it simmered and affected Feyryire's reality. Its core vibrated as it was filled with more energy.

The entity screeched as it could sense the warning bells. Then the Titan froze, unmoving like a true statue. A crack split along its head forming what seemed to be a mouth. A mouth that parted as my words pricked at the chaos entity, loud and clear like decibels.

"FIRST AUGURAL - TITAN'S ABOLITION".

Four beams blasted from the golem. Two from its eyes that glowed like miniature Sols. One from its newly forged mouth and the last from the core at its chest. Veins of gold and white wrapped their tendrils over its face and the body which housed me.

All four beams were directed at the crystallized original chaos entity as it did what it was made to. The unworldly shriek of pain echoed far into the vast nothingness.
