CHAPTER 12

As Andrea arrived at the ground floor of her company, a car that was parked just in front of the elevator suddenly opened its door in the backseat area, revealing someone who was wearing a hood and a mask that covers their entire face.

"Madame." A low baritone voice greeted her, from someone who was sitting in the backseat. Andrea immediately went inside the car, sat beside the man, and wore the mask Ray suggested. The car's door itself closes, and it began to drive off.

"So who are we meeting again?" Andrea asked as she raised her mask to her head, grabbed the tobacco pipe—a Church-warden type pipe, and used it, exhaling the smoke she got from the tobacco.

"A minor group that I don't have to explain." Ace, the shadow who's always with Andrea instead of her two right-hand men. "Should I shoot your head, imbecile?" Andrea glared at Ace as she was about to throw the pipe to its face.

"I'm joking. A branch from Follucia Syndicate. They wanted to do transactions with us that require your presence. They said it was a high-quality item that they acquired. Perhaps, a gem?" Ace said as he typed something on his screen and gave it to Andrea who was smoking.

"Hmm, such a rare item indeed. Makes me want to steal it. Pink diamond eh? I'm sure my child will love this gift." She said and zoomed the picture Ace showed her. "Can you just not let this rare gem be given to that child? We can display this out and bid this fucking gem and earn billions." Ace sighed, showing how he oppose her choice.

"You and that child seem to forget who's in front of you right now." Her icy voice suddenly made Ace cease breathing. His heart started to flip all over as if it was threatened by something when it was just the Madame's voice.

"I earn billions already, asshole." She flexed him as she exhaled the smoke and smirked. Never mess with someone powerful as her.

"Madame, I hope that child that you left in your home won't create any ruckus. I hate cleaning up." He said, remembering the child in the office that he always sees. "Don't worry, she'll be doing a good job. You should be wishing for those who'll try to come inside my company a peaceful life. You know that child is merciless. There's no easy death that exists in her vocabulary." Andrea commented as she dropped her pipe in the ashtray, wore her mask, and looked outside the window.

"As if Madame it's not also you. You're talking about as if you're giving an easy death and mercy towards our enemy." Ace commented but immediately stopped when the car already reaches its destination. "You stay in the car, Madame. I'll deal with this." Ace said and left the car, leaving Andrea alone in the car.

Both the driver and the man sitting in the passenger seat left, joining Ace who was walking straight inside the empty and dark warehouse. The cold night seems to bore Andrea so she opened the car, hung her trench coat on her shoulders, and walked inside the warehouse. Maybe, to create chaos.

The apartment feels lonely without her sister. Ray who already wore the dress Andrea gifted to her, braided her hair as she was lost in thoughts. It was already nearly twelve, yet there were no signs of her sister coming back from that work she had to attend.

Ray went back to herself, sighed, and decided to stroll into the lower levels, who knows there still might be employees who decided to work overtime.

Before walking outside the door, she checked herself first before exploring. She looked like one of those creepy Victorian dolls but cuter. She braided her hair and divided it into two, similar to how Anna from Frozen looks like.

It's not like she hasn't explored the company, she's not the type of person who comes out and has a party all night.

After she did some check-ups for herself, she went outside and closed the door, walking silently towards the elevator. After pressing the down button, the door opened up and Ray entered, pressing a random button to explore. The elevator was a glass type, you can see the city's blinding lights, shining as if it's having a party. She was gazing towards the lights when the Elevator opened, revealing the floor she randomly chose.

Stepping outside, the lights were already dim, which means everyone left except for those who decided to work overtime or were slaves by someone higher than their position.

She decided to stroll, looking for perspective playmates that she could play with. Then all of a sudden, she saw three employees, having a cup of coffee while talking with each other. Curious about what they were talking about, Ray approached them secretly, listening to their conversation.

"Did you know? Those who worked overtime feel like there's a ghost in the company." The girl with bob hair said while glancing at the two.

"Ha-ha, fake news." The man said and laughed as if he was not affected by the sudden topic. "It's not! Last night, Joe from the accounting department saw a child, a teenager to be exact, roaming in the department, searching for something. Or someone." The other person said.

Ray's eyes squinted at them. A ghost? Was there such a thing that ever existed inside the company?

She read each one's IDs. She needed names to identify who they are. The Bob-haired girl was called Julie, the man who said fake news was called Romeo while the other person was called Bailey.

"How sure are you? It's a rumor, rumour means fake!" Romeo exclaimed and chuckled. "Rumour or not, they were certain that there's a ghost here. She was wearing a dress, always white dresses or sometimes black, similar to how dolls get dressed. You know that doll from the 70's era?" Julie said as she glanced around them and suddenly pointed at Ray who was standing in the corner.

"Like that girl." She suddenly said, looking at both of them and smiling. "See? Like her!" She exclaimed once again as both of them looked at where she was pointing with. "What do you mean her? There's no one, Julie." Bailey commented as he tried to look for the person Julie was pointing with.

"What the hell?" Ray muttered as she hid in the corner. They have seen her roaming in each department and now they thought as if there was some ghost haunting this place. She silently placed her hand on her forehead and chuckled a little, making the three of them start to cower in fear.

"What the fuck was that?" Romeo bursts out as he clings to both Julie and Bailey. It was a mellow laugh, enough to identify that it came from a child or someone that they cannot see.

"Motherfucker! I told you I saw something!" Julie said and started to pack her things up. Ray, who's devious and cannot be stopped, decided to scare them. So she stealthily made herself in front of the person called Bailey, who was rushing to pack his things too, just like what Romeo and Julie were doing.

It was dark but due to Ray's already adjusted eyes, her cold hands touched Bailey, who suddenly stopped packing and started to shake uncontrollably. "Mister, please help me." Ray blurted out as she looked at the pitiful guy whose tears suddenly started to appear. "B-Bailey—" Julie called out to Bailey whose soul seemed to drift afar from his body.
