CHAPTER 14

"What the hell man!" The other person shouted once more as the dim light was starting to fade away or more like it was flickering. "Oh what a rain would it be~" Ray sang another part of the song while observing these men below here, being frantic and crazy about her.

The bald one started to run towards the door, he was shaking, and fear started to manipulate his brain, thinking about what the hologram said to them. "All the doors are locked! What the fuck!" He shouted in fear as he tried to shoot the doorknob but knowing the company has the most recent advances in terms of technology, everything, and even their bullets were unavailable to open the iron door.

"Shut up please!" The other person begged Ray as he searches every corner, shooting each doll. And now that they have shot the dolls, it looks like those dolls were staring at them, with their lifeless eyes staring at them with their torn bodies and faces due to bullets ransacking them.

'Those were my favorites. Fucking bastards.' Ray cursed in her mind as she glared at them for ruining the doll her sister bought for her. "Standing outside with my mouth open wide." She started to sing another part of the song as she decide to activate the hologram she prepared. The hologram's face started to turn into something they fear the most.

The girl started to cry blood, as her mouth was wider than the grinning bobcat from Alice in Wonderland. They looked at the hologram, shaking in fear, trying to run away from this nightmare. "D-Damnit! Shoot it you fucking bastard!" He shouted and immediately rained his bullets toward the hologram until their magazines ran out of bullets.

Now that the bullets were gone, there was no reason for Ray to continue to watch, she needs to be in action. So she turned off the hologram, quietly approached them, and sang the last part that made both of them bump their heads, resulting in a sudden sleep.

"Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah! Oh, what rain would it be!" She suddenly sang the last part near them and appeared in front of them, smiling evilly as she stared deeply into their eyes, haunting their dreams forever.

Now that her work is nearly done, she immediately turned on the lights and slapped their nape hard so that you could have heard the cracking of their bones. "Look at what you made! I have to clean this before my sister comes home!" She grumpily trampled her foot in their heads.

"Haah, this motherfuckers. Good thing I knew who was behind this after investigating their profiles. If it wasn't for this bald man shouting that he'll finally save his company, she wouldn't know who was behind this attack. "Looks like I have to visit him, with a surprise." She said to herself, smirking at them.

She was about to tie them both when she noticed a stain between their legs and it smelled bad that she immediately covered her nose. "What the hell? That wasn't even scary, but they pissed themselves? Ew!" She said, disgusted.

"Reminds me of that one person. Never mind." She said and tied them, trying not to gag because of their shameful and disgusting act. If it wasn't for her reward, she would've thrown them out of the window.

Phileo was on his way to his office to spend the night, after the failed investigation of the Goyo family, he did not have any rest, including peacefully sleeping in the night. He seems to have trouble sleeping.

"Fuck." He muttered, the night was not young enough for him to still drive. He's sure his nanny was worried now, especially the fact that he ran away from the press. He's not sure whether to go into his office, there might be reporters waiting for him and pushing him to the edge.

He was baffled, especially by the order that came from the President himself. What does it mean they have to stop investigating? What the hell is he planning? To let them leave unjustified?

"Shit." He cursed once more and decided to stop his car on the sidewalk. He doesn't want to go home, he doesn't want to go back to his office. It was so messed up, especially since everyone was looking at him, one wrong move, and everything he did to raise into this position is pointless.

Does this mean he's not assigned anymore in this case? Of course, it's dismissed, whatever he'll do there will be no point in doing it. He'll conclude no further investigation against them, especially since General Felipe will present all their crimes. Wouldn't it be like they're already punished for their crimes against their country?

It was silent. The only noises he could hear were from the crickets of the night, owls looking for food, and loud frogs. The night was clear, no clouds yet full of stars. It was peaceful as if anything that happened yesterday didn't happen.

It all remained silent until his phone rang, making him open his eyes and look at it. It was an unknown number, maybe one of those scammers who plan to rip him off. Or reporters or one of those highly profiled men's henchmen.

He quickly answered it and was about to greet the caller formally, but suddenly stopped. The voices were clear, he can hear different types of voices from the background, the conversation was vague but when the line adjusted, it was clear that there was an exchange of illegal trade happening.

Good thing he can track the call, so he immediately grabbed his other phone, connected it with the phone who was on call and deciphered the transmitted call. He can guess that there are at least 3 people on the call, exchanging deals that were suspicious enough to call it illegal. Why would have it been done during the night and not during the day?

After he deciphered the transmitted call, he located the place where the smuggling took place. It was not what he had expected, near his current location. Good thing he didn't continue to drive it off.

"Gotcha." He mumbled and turned off the call, immediately strides his motorcycle and driving towards the location he figured.

An abandoned port warehouse.

He arrived faster than he had expected, but had to part it away from the warehouse, they might hear him and will end this exchange a flop. So he has to be careful enough not to distract them. He then called for his assistant to send a backup, in case they will have to take to war. He sent him the location for them to know which place he was in.

After calling and receiving the news that they were already on the way, he prepared his gun, and quietly went inside the warehouse, hiding from them. Then there he was, already spotted those illegal people talking seriously. He was near them, he could hear them. He placed himself in the corner where he could both see them, talking and identifying their identities. But sadly, he could not recognize the man who was talking. He was wearing a cape and a mask, totally hiding his identity. He was guarded by two guards who seemed like an important person because of how they treated him.

"Hmm, why contact us? You should've just delivered it." The masked man said and offered them the briefcase. "You asked if this one's a real pink diamond right? You have to come. Although we requested your leader, why is your master not here?" The man smugly asked the masked man, with a lopsided smile on his face as if he was mocking the masked man for following someone like a dog, wagging its tail at its owner.

"That's none of your business." The masked man replied coldly and threw the briefcase. After throwing it, it immediately opened and revealed a box full of cash inside. Phileo's guessing that every stack must be around P10,000.00 since it's very thick.

"Ah, it's our business. Without your master, we could not give this valuable treasure." He replied making the masked man's guard point their guns at the person who was smiling endlessly. "Then it's meaningless to keep you alive." The masked man replied and pointed his gun at him and was ready to shoot when all of the sudden, around 10 men suddenly appeared making him trap in a three-cornered.
