"You called me father?" The woman in her 20s entered the room, full of jewels and designers in her body. "What did you do?!" He shouted towards his daughter. "What do you mean? I haven't done anything, Papa!" She answered him flabbergasted.
"Have you fought with someone these days?" Her mom asked her. The girl was caught up but then laughed it off. "I fought a child days ago just because of mere chocolate. I told her to fuck off but that rude child cursed me and told me bad things. Now that I remembered it, can you please punish that little brat? I forgot to investigate her." She said and looked at her nails, checking if it was still okay.
"Speaking of trouble, why are you not working anymore?" Her dad asked her, curious about her daughter not working anymore. "I-I got fired unfairly!" She suddenly said. Behind those words, she was twisting the story acting as the victim.
"Ma'am Andrea fired me and protected that bastard! He was the one who was at fault but the Madame fired me instead! He still keeps that asshole inside his company while I was suffering looking for jobs because she didn't write me a recommendation letter! She even threatened me that if I were to say this, no company would let me join their establishment!" She rattled and cried pitifully.
She ran to her mother and sobs. "Oh, my poor daughter! It's not her fault! Why would that bitch do this to us when it's her fault in the first place?" The mother defended her crying daughter while Mr. Benedict was contemplating. Who will he believe?
"Shit. Let's go to her company, we'll apologize." Mr. Benedict said and stood up. "What?! Apologize?! It's their fault! Why should we apologize?" Her daughter freaked out hearing it. "Then let's live in poverty! You want that right?" He shouted back angrily.
"What about my dignity Dad? If I apologize then it'll be like owning that it's my fault! I can't do that Dad!" She fought back and cried once more. "Well, you can live on your own! I don't want to live in poverty!" He replied and left them in the room.
—
Hours passed and the three of them were in Andrea's company. Everyone was looking at them, it was full of mocking and snickering yet Mr. Benedict stayed true to himself despite his dignity decreasing.
The embarrassment he felt was degrading him. "I want to speak to Madame Andrea." Mr. Benedict said towards the guard, guarding the entrance of the company.
"I'm sorry sir, but we were informed to deny your access to enter." One of the guards said making Mr. Benedict bite his lips. "Can't you see who he is?! He is Benedict Farlan, one of the nobles from the socialite! He's my dad! Let him pass!" The girl shouted towards the guards but they only looked at her with a side glance and went back towards Mr. Benedict.
"We're really sorry Sir, your entrance is rejected." The guard commented once again, denying them once more. Mr. Benedict has no choice left but to kneel in front of the guard, making his wife and daughter gasp in shock. "Please! Madame! I beg you to give me a proper explanation!" He pleaded, begging for the Madame to grace him with her presence.
But to no avail, the Madame didn't show up.
Days passed and Mr. Benedict came back day after day, just to kneel and beg the Madame. His dignity was crushed and he was begging every time. His wife left him out of embarrassment. She left them as she could not let him taint her reputation anymore. The daughter was forced to kneel beside him as everything that happened was her fault.
Mr. Benedict lost all his face as he kept on kneeling day after day. He was ready to accept his faith if the President did not show up. "Dad, please I can't take it anymore! Please!" The daughter begged her dad. She was already exposed to the social circle, she was already being avoided by her friends!
"Shut up! It's your fault that this happened!" He lashes out as he proceeds to slap her. "What's with the commotion?" Someone asked with a neutral cold voice.
Immediately, Mr. Benedict felt alive once again as he stood up and ran towards the person standing near the entrance. He kneeled and hugged her toes, brushing his body to Andrea. "Madame! I beg you! I am so sorry for what my daughter did! Please! Don't do this to us!" He shouted while crying. His lips curve into a smile, he looks like a psycho crying while smiling.
"Stay put!" The guard said, pulling him hard and throwing him away. "Dad! You! How can you do this to us?! You're no man!" The daughter exclaimed as she ran after her father and helped him stand up. "Make them kneel in front of me," Andrea commanded, making the guards nod and pulled them once again and forced them to kneel in front of her.
"I heard a bug, twisting the story. Now, now, let's all calm down and enjoy the story of how your incompetent daughter ruined the harmony of my company." She coldly said. "Solaris, tell Mr. Benedict about how his daughter was behaving in my company." She added.
Solaris then told Mr. Benedict what happened. And as the story unfolds, his face was getting darker and darker while the daughter's face was getting paler and paler. Ray on the other hand was hiding behind Andrea's back, observing the moths losing their wings.
"Not to mention it but she insulted the Madame's sister, telling her to fuck off." Solaris ended his job with his line. As soon as Ray was introduced, she unhide herself and smiled at the girl whose expression was shocked and most of all, scared.
"Hi! Remember me?" Ray said in her cute lovely voice, making the girl tremble. "It's not true Papa! They're twisting the story! I didn't do it! Believe in me!" She shouted, defending her cries.
"Oh how could we twist our story when in fact everyone in the company was aware of your doings, much worse is that they knew it was you from the very beginning. Isn't that why you're kneeling in front of me?" Ray said with an expression of thinking as she puts her pointed finger on her chin.
"Now that you realize the mistake your daughter made, I assume that everything's clear now," Andrea replied.
Mr. Benedict was fuming mad, as he sprung out of the guards' grip and attacked his daughter. "It's your fault! I'll kill you! You bitch!" He shouted towards his daughter but then again the guards' force was so strong that he was eventually held back.
"Let me go! Let me kill her!" He shouted.
"D-dad..." The daughter begged and cried. The daughter then looked at Andrea and hoped that they would help her but to her surprise, Andrea was looking at them coldly and the child she encountered days ago was looking at her innocently. "H-help me! Please! I beg you!" She tried to reach her but the girl suddenly smiled smugly at her, taunting her situation.
"See this bitch? Who's more powerful now?"
It left a shocked expression on her face. The child curses her once again but it didn't even make Andrea faze at all. "You spoiled brat! You will die! Die!" She shouted as if she lost her mind after Ray's taunt.
"Drag them to jail. These pests ruined my mood." Andrea commented and turned her back away from the commotion. "Sister, please change your clothes. It's contaminated. You might get a disease." Ray said as she held her arm, hugging it dearly.
"I know." She replied shortly.
"Ha, I quite enjoyed the show," Solaris commented as he ran beside them, telling how he enjoyed watching them kneeling every day.
"It's been like 8 days since they were kneeling and they already lost their composition. Ha! That was very smart of you, Madame." Solaris complimented her.
"Do you want to kneel too? I'll have you for 2 years of kneeling in front of the company." She tried to joke again but Solaris on the other hand swallowed a lump and decided to keep quiet.
"Why are you all quiet?" Andrea asked, confused about the sudden silent environment. "I don't want to kneel Sister," Ray said and pouted.
"I-I'll choose paperwork instead of kneeling Madame! Haven't you seen how kneeling made them lose their brain? I don't want that! I love myself!" Solaris exclaimed making Andrea shrug her head.
"Okay, do my paperwork from now on." She replied.
"Oh come on!"
"That's what you get for voicing out your opinion, Solaris my guy," Ray commented and chuckled. Solaris sighed and smiled. At the very least, things will now be at peace.
