Notebook

Duan Yuan didn't sense any evil being around so he used this chance to continue investigating in the room, finding all the things that he could find as clues for his investigation. He doesn't know whether there will be more evil beings that will come, but he knows that they will definitely obstruct him again in whatever he is doing. Worse, they might kill him, which is likely to happen so that they could eat him after.

This is the struggle that the evil ghost wanted to see from him to satisfy its disgusting hobby. But of course, Duan Yuan wouldn't let the evil ghost get what it wanted. Not to mention that he is an exorcist who is the enemy of evil beings, but this also violates his principles. He wasn't fond of making others happy from his own discomfort, nor is he fond of seeing this happening to others. That is just nothing but feeling enjoyment in a disgusting way.

Thus, Duan Yuan persevered in his investigation as he continued to search around the room so that he could find a way to escape here and make Su Yu leave safely while he will remain to solve the matter of the evil ghost.

Suddenly, a dull thud can be heard, followed by Duan Yuan feeling stepping on something.

"Hm? This is…?" Duan Yuan muttered as he bends over while a hand is outstretched to pick up what he has stepped on. He can't see so he doesn't know what it is. But he still can feel and smell. So, he found out that what he stepped on is a notebook.

As he opened it, he felt that its pages are rough and crisp, showing how old it is. There is also some dust that has stuck on it over the years. But, Duan Yuan could feel the mark of the pen on the back of the page, so he used his fingers to try and read the content of the book through the back of its pages.

Duan Yuan might have never watched a horror movie or any horror shows, but he is not an idiot to not know that a notebook in a haunted place is, or might contain a clue. After all, notebooks were often used as diaries to record one's daily life.

If this notebook is a diary, then Duan Yuan might be able to find something in it regarding the Purple Old Manor, or about the owner's life which might have a clue to what happened in the Purple Old Manor in the past. Having found something that might be a clue, he concentrated to discern any information from the book.

What he didn't know is that a pair of eyes with sinister intent in them is secretly watching him from a hidden corner and started to approach him from the back, which is a vulnerable spot as one doesn't have eyes on their back to see that someone will attack them.

Seeing the opportunity, the evil being aggressively pounced on Duan Yuan!

"It's fine if you didn't find any answers." Su Yu spoke when he saw his fans' comments. "It is not as if it is the only clue that I have, and could find." He comforted them.

"But… your junior is still in danger. We don't know whether he is still alive, or…"

"Shh! Don't say it!"

"Pei! Pei! Pei! Please don't speak of negative things! Only positive!"

"No negative, only positive +1"

Su Yu read the comments and smiled. He feels happy that his fans don't find Duan Yuan a hindrance in his (SY) exploration tonight just because he is disabled. Instead, they find Duan Yuan very pitiful since not only the other is disabled, but also because Duan Yuan going to a haunted place.

As to Duan Yuan's reason for coming to the Purple Old Manor, the fans only thinks that Duan Yuan wanted to conquer his fear so he could be braver. This just makes them feel more sympathetic to Duan Yuan.

"Don't worry. I believe that my junior can survive." Su Yu said. He knows that Duan Yuan is still alive. This is not only because the evil ghost let Duan Yuan go (for now), but Duan Yuan is surprisingly a tough person, too.

Su Yu could feel through the mark he left on Duan Yuan that Duan Yuan's heart is beating very strongly. Not only Duan Yuan is very much alive, but Duan Yuan also must have come up with something.

Did he find a clue? Su Yu thought in surprise. It is not that Su Yu looks down on Duan Yuan because the other is disabled. In fact, he admires Duan Yuan because his disability never affected his self-esteem. Instead, it only made his heart and mind stronger.

What made Su Yu surprised is that Duan Yuan is actually lucky. Duan Yuan is blind and thus could not see his surroundings. But, Duan Yuan not only managed to survive the danger that befallen him earlier, but Duan Yuan also found a clue!

As expected of his junior from the same university. Su Yu smiled, feeling proud of the other. Unfortunately, he can't pat the other on the head, though, to commend Duan Yuan for his hard work!

"Well, let's see what we can find from here…" Su Yu muttered as he moved the selfie stick on his hand along with his body so that his audience could also see what he is seeing.
