"Hmm… I have been wondering this since earlier…" Su Yu muttered while he looked around the room, trying to look at things as many as he could.

"What is the anchor wondering about?" one of the audience asked, who is the big tyrant fan I Will Support You.

Su Yu looked at the question. "Well, don't you think that there is something missing?" he asked.

"What does the anchor think that is missing? And where?" the other audience asked.

"For one… the pictures, specifically the family pictures and of the children." Su Yu answered as he looked at the empty top of the drawers.

"!!!!!"

"Anchor is right! I realized this just now after I looked at the drawers again."

"I can't believe that I didn't notice this! Fortunately, the anchor did, or I would still feel stupid."

"Same here… all this time I never found anything that is wrong."

"Upstairs, maybe it is because EVERYTHING is wrong?"

"Damn. You have a point!"

Su Yu nodded in agreement. "Yes… everything is wrong." He spoke.

Since the start, he and Duan Yuan have already been attacked by the evil ghost through 'ghost hitting a wall' even if they still haven't reached the Purple Old Manor. Yet, after he and Duan Yuan got out of 'ghost hitting a wall', they found that they actually have already entered the premises of the Purple Old Manor.

So, Su Yu realized that he and Duan Yuan have not fallen into 'ghost hitting a wall'. Instead, they were just made to think it that way. But in fact, he and Duan Yuan were actually advancing towards the Purple Old Manor. Just that, they have already been sent inside its premises which made Su Yu and Duan Yuan caught unprepared. After all, they planned to scout the Purple Old Manor first before entering it.

But, they underestimated the evil ghost. The evil ghost never planned to let any of its prey be not under its control. So, as long as Su Yu and Duan Yuan were caught in its domain, the evil ghost immediately sent them to the Purple Old Manor. To which Su Yu and Duan Yuan have never intended to happen.

Unfortunately, it happened. This is because they never expected or thought that the evil ghost would have its own domain. In fact, they never thought that the evil ghost would be so strong for it to be able to create its own domain. This just made it troublesome, though, as it endangers unsuspecting people, who are especially ordinary mortals. So, Su Yu and Duan Yuan have to solve the problem as fast as they could.

They have to eliminate the evil ghost and return the Purple Old Manor to a normal heritage property so that no one would be hurt, much less die. They have to stop the recent unfortunate incidents that have disturbed the peace of society.

Duan Yuan stood while holding an old notebook whose pages have already been yellowed due to the passing of time. His expression looked calm as he continued to touch the back of the pages to read the contents of the notebook. But, the scene inside the room is not very calm because there is a sword that was stuck on the wall… as well as an evil being that was impaled by it on the chest, rendering it dead.

Earlier, while Duan Yuan was about to fall in full concentration to discern the contents of the notebook that he found, he suddenly sensed a hostile intent towards him which mixed with killing intent. So, he acted like he was calm and his expression never changed, making the evil being who wanted to launch a sneak attack on him think that he has lowered his guard.

Thus, as soon as the evil being launched its body in mid-air, the ring on Duan Yuan's finger instantly turned into a ray of light and shot towards the evil being, turning into a sword and then pinning it on the wall. With a loud shriek, the evil being struggled to be freed from the sword because the sword burns not only its body but also its very soul!

But unfortunately for it, the more it struggled the more that it will feel burned. And since it was stuck on the chest, the faster it died. Many people might think that ghosts have no heart (literally) thus even if they will attack the ghosts' chest, the ghost would not feel anything. In short, striking the ghost in its heart is not fatal.

However, they all thought wrong. Aside from using a special weapon against ghosts or other evil beings, striking the ghost in the heart could be effective. It is because the ghosts were once humans, and so the ghosts would subconsciously treat their chest still as a vulnerable spot that could cause them to die.

This is the case for the evil being just now, which is also a ghost. Even if the ghost has turned evil which is filled with resentment, it is still filled with sadness and pain, as well as regret. Duan Yuan doesn't know how did the ghost die, but Duan Yuan could feel from the evil qi in that ghost that the ghost was artificially turned evil.

What does he mean by 'artificially turned'? It is by using evil qi to turn a ghost evil. In short, the ghost was not evil in nature. It was instead influenced by the evil qi which increased the pain and sadness that it felt, and so increasing its resentment.

Duan Yuan heaved a sad sigh. He doesn't know how many ghosts have been artificially turned into the evil that they have killed. Some of the exorcists still don't know how to distinguish true evil ghosts from artificial evil ghosts, which is saddening. Because the reputation that the exorcists in the past have painstakingly built is now crumbling into pieces because of the disappointing succeeding generations.

Really… times change. Everything is not how they were used to be.
