Chapter 05

I often complain like now, I lazily put a medium-sized paperbag into the motorcycle saddle, put on a helmet for my safety which I don't know I said could save my head from a hard impact. Stupid, I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Passing several houses and to get to the highway, I occasionally take a deep breath when I see a red light. Come on, I don't want to be in this position for too long, I want to immediately lay down on the bed and sleep with sweet dreams. Sweet dreams? Ah, forget it, I dream of being chased by a ghost almost every day. Mom said I was beautiful, maybe that's why ghosts liked me so much.

Few of the many sentences that were issued in the heart, I ended it with a silly laugh, I did often speak to myself through my mind, for example like now. Yes, they say our brains can get a little smarter if they are spent talking to ourselves. That means, we can also get to know ourselves more.

A residential complex with towering buildings facing each other, I was directed there according to the instructions on the paper. I looked up for a moment when a small drop of clear grains from the sky wet the paper, I immediately hid it in my pocket, I think heavy rain will fall soon.

My index finger pressed the doorbell of the luxury house after confirming that the address was not wrong, I pressed it about three times because I felt that no one had answered. For the fourth time I pressed, the door then opened, I breathed a sigh of relief.

However, when my eyes met the eyes of the owner of the house, I was stunned, my body froze but I couldn't guess what he was feeling. He seemed relaxed even though I think he recognized me very well.

"Who's coming, Alaska?" A woman's voice from inside suddenly averted our eyes, thank goodness, at least this awkwardness can end.

"Here, the cloth you ordered, madam."

I saw the woman nodded in understanding while giving a friendly smile, she approached me and grabbed the paperbag I handed her.

"Where's Yulia? Why didn't she bring her here?"

"Oh, my mom has a lot of work at the boutique, so she told me to—" Before I could finish my sentence, I was already getting a gentle pat on my head. The foreign woman rubbed my head.

"You're this big? The last time I saw you was when you were in elementary school. You don't remember me, do you?"

It's not that I don't remember anymore, but she's a complete stranger to me. I don't think I've ever met him before.

It's not finished, I haven't even answered the confusing question, it's already raining heavily. Damn, why does it have to match my expectations?!

"Oh my gosh it's raining! Madam, excuse me, I have to go back now!" She held me back, causing me to raise an eyebrow with a frown. For a moment, I set my sights on a man who had been staring at us for a long time. We? I don't think so, he just looked at me with his cold face, he doesn't like it when I'm here or what?

"Never mind, just go to Auntie's house, okay? The roads are very slippery when it's raining." She's right, but—look at the man's look, I think he really doesn't like seeing me coming.

"No need-"

"It's okay? You don't refuse, don't worry, your mother is a friend of mine, let's just say you're visiting here to see Auntie." Yes, if she tries hard then I'll just say yes. After all, approach my future mother-in-law, haha maybe.

The man walked in and left us first, I tried to be casual and act unconcerned, I suddenly felt confident after the woman claimed that she was friends with my mother. Wow, I feel like a special girl now.

My smile slowly expands when I find my hand being pulled by my future mother-in-law. I'm amused to actually say that, but I feel like I want to claim it. Ah, adopt me to be your daughter-in-law!

"Wow, aunty likes hot chocolate?" I immediately asked after finding a glass of hot chocolate with smoke still billowing.

At the same time, I found Alaska reaching for the glass filled with chocolate, well I was wrong. He walked away from there after staring at me for a second, very short isn't it? I get it, and I guess after this I'll do my best to get his attention.

"Why? You like that too?" I flinched a little when Alaska's mother suddenly appeared behind me with a few bills.

"Y-yes, I liked that since childhood." She nodded again with a smile that still adorned his face, she then handed the money in front of me which I immediately accepted, it was the money from the cloth he bought from my mother.

"Thank you Auntie."

After that, Alaska's mother took me to the kitchen, she seemed to want me to judge the dishes she had just made, I of course said yes. We spent about an hour making food and cake, we had time to spread flour on each other's faces. Yes, childish, we were like a pair of teenage friends.

"Seriously, this is delicious!" Suddenly excited after tasting it, I then raised my thumb into the air accompanied by a happy smile. This is the result of my work taught by Alaska's mother, it tastes so good that I tasted it many times.

"You're really good at making it, bring it home for your mother and tell her she should visit if she has time, Auntie misses your mother." I nodded again, although I didn't understand how close their friendship was, I certainly didn't see Alaska's mother present at my father's funeral.

"Then excuse me, Auntie."

"Be careful on the way, ok?" I didn't answer other than throwing a sweet smile at the man who was staring at me behind there. The point is, from now on I feel I will be more open, because that's who I really am.

I walked out with a smile on my face, I think it's a big progress because we had eye contact for a few times, even though I repeatedly stole glances from him. Who told you to be handsome?

Oh, mother! Thank you for giving me the task of delivering the cloth to his house.

This is my fourth time coming home with a happy face and I don't forget to sing along the way. Three of them were when I graduated from elementary school, junior high school, and high school. Again, I think I will smile more in the future after meeting him. See you on campus tomorrow, handsome!
