The leadup to the battle of a lifetime!

"What??" we all said in almost perfect unison.

Jerry sighed before continuing.

"Yup, word just came in that the hosts caught wind of our suspicion and tried to start it as soon as possible to throw us off our game."

Well it worked! I'm nowhere near ready yet and if I'm not ready Gabriel definitely isn't!

"We're going to have to stay a while longer practicing." Tom said over the intercom, his voice sounded as if he was affected by the situation ten times more than we were.

We all looked at each other with concerned eyes.

"You got it!" Gabriel tried to bring a happy vibe to the situation as always.

"Yeah we'll practice as long as it takes!" I said after him.

"Well I don't need to practice, I'm just that good~" Miya said proudly.

There was a moment of silence before Tom finally spoke again.

"Thanks.."

"Alright gang, let's get practicing!" Jerry was hyped.

"Ew-" I responded.

"Gross-" Oli said.

"Never say 'gang' again-" Miya was disgusted and Jerry's spirit was lowered.

"Ok-"

______

Now it was time! The Tournament to get the information we needed!

When this is over we can finally be free and I won't have to live here anymore. I won't have to live with Miya anymore.

A goofy grin formed on my face as I thought of those words in the shower.

"This is gonna be amazing~"

Just then someone banged on the bathroom door almost making me fall over by how sudden it was.

"Hurry up!" I heard Miya's voice on the other side of the door.

"This tournament thingy can't come soon enough-" I muttered to myself as I grabbed my towel.

_______

"They're late…" Miya said with her arms crossed, her foot tapped against the wooden floor repeatedly as we waited to be escorted out the house but…Tom and Jerry are late again..

"How could they be late to something this important??" Miya was steaming but no matter how much she overreacted i had to agree this seems too important to be late to-

"Hey guys!" We heard Jerry's voice coming in close and soon his car pulled up right in front of my house.

"Your late jerry-" Miya muttered, her arms still crossed and pouting.

"Sorry I had to collect this fella from the airport." He laughed as Oli stuck his head out of the window.

"Hiya!"

"Damn he's cute.." I overheard Miya say to herself all of her anger suddenly just vanished.

"Gabriel, Dial 911.."

"That's not what I meant!" she protested.

"We're 911." Tom said coming out of the car and taking off our detectors.

Oh right almost forgot these guys were cops..

We entered the car and Jerry looked at us through the mirror on top of the car.

"So, you guys ready?"

"Yup!" We said in unison.
