Chapter 3

Leah didn't want to wake up as she heard the angry voices arguing back and forth. Groaning she grabbed the pillow that laid underneath her head and threw it. " Leah honey, are you alright? I swear if he hurt you. " 

" Why? What will you do Julian?" She screamed as It became quiet. " Shut up." 

She opened her eyes as her mother grabbed her hand and her dad stood behind her on the right side. Leah's mate stood on her left staring daggers at her parents while she sat up in a sitting position. " Talk I want answers." She commanded with an attitude as her mate stared at her with piercing blue eyes. She wanted to black out again just seeing the look on his face. Her parents looked guilty before they started talking. " Leah, you were raised in a pack full of Wolves. Your Step Father is the Alpha and I'm the Luna. I'm so sorry we didn't tell you but you are the next in line. " Wow good luck with that." that was the only thing she had to say to her parents as they gave her a look.

She didn't want to understand anything as she felt like she wanted to scream as loud as she could but instead, she fiddled with her hands before seeing the look on her parents' face. They had no excuse. " I mean no offense she can't even stay in contact with you people who seemed to have left her over a year ago. A year! Really Julian? Now you find her and expect her to what live happily ever after with you two. I should've killed you two when I first met you." Leah felt the atmosphere change as she felt like she was suffocating.

" He made a point but tell me what do you mean when you say first time? " They stared at me first the longest as Leah expected them to continue talking about what had happened but they didn't seem to want to say anything. Leah swung her feet across the couch as she felt dizzy. " Why me?" She wanted to lay down if anything to get rid of the voices that only seemed to haunt her in the daytime. " Leah?" She only looked at her mother as if she were stupid. Before pulling her feet up she only gave them the satisfaction before laying her head against her mate's shoulder. 

She saw stars as his arms went around her pulling her more into him as she pratically laid in his arms as a baby would. She couldn't tell if she regretted it as her whole body loved the warmth. His arms went around her waist holding on to her as her parents watched. He only picked her up placing her back on the couch she laid down closing her eyes but she never slept she only wanted the dizziness to stop. " Don't get out of bed." He didn't command her he only said it softly and she only cringed and nodded. " I need to eat." Her mate ran out of the room as she walked nothing more than to take her a cat nap. 

" Where's Derek?" She asked with her hand on her face as she just wished this was just a nightmare to begin with. Her mom gave a sad smile but she wasn't sure if she even really wanted any part of what they even wanted. Her mother gave her a sad smile grabbing and squeezing it. " Baby, when we told you to run and you met up with him what happened?" Leah gulped looking down feeling ashamed. " I didn't want to leave you behind so I tried to go back but Derek stopped me I ran off before he could do anything. He chased me down to a fight we didn't know was there." She stopped thinking of the red eyes that stared into her soul. The bloody mouth that snarled at her and thinking he was going to rip her in half Derek saved her by getting in front of her. " I only remember him yelling for me to run." She breathed out shakingly.

" I lived in a warehouse and I don't know how long waiting for ya'll to come; Ya'll never come," Leah remembered the growls one night and the yelling. She had to mask herself and she had to keep running no matter what. I came here, and I still want to keep running. " Leah Thought about her friends including Mary. " Jazz Is going to kill me. Where's my phone? I need to get back before they notice." 

Her mate didn't like that at all before he growled as his eyes went a shade of black setting the platter down fast he ran at her picking her up in his arms. " Stop, put me down. " 

" You don't hate me?" She couldn't tell if it was hope in his eyes. " Maybe a little." She giggled because of the change in his demeanor as he let her go. " Why?" His eyes seemed sad but he definitely held his ground trying not to show any emotion. " 1: You flipping kidnapped me. 2: I don't even know you and 3: What is wrong with you?" 

She didn't care that his eyes held regret but something deep down wanted to say she was sorry. " Leah we're sorry, forgive us." She forgot they were there before the nagging feeling resurfaced. " I don't know. I'm still getting used to the fact that this monster kidnapped me to bring me the parents that I thought I knew." They all stared at her as she got off his lap due to him not wanting to let go of her. She walked to the door but she wasn't even sure where she was going just yet. " Where am I at again?" 

" Blood Moon Pack." 

She walked out the door and down several hallways before coming to a set of stairs that led down to the first floor. She felt weaker getting to the front double doors. Trying to open the doors she jumped hearing the growls behind her. She didn't want to turn around but for some reason, she was curious to see the monster of a mate. He was in front of her in a second before he tried to grab out at her as a small yelp came from her however she dodged him completely. He growled again in a warning way as she ran into another room and even though it took a minute he seemed to calm down faster than she could really breathe out. 

" Leah get your butt over here right now before you regret it." Was that a threat? She wasn't entirely sure if she was scared or not but he was being serious and she could tell. He gave another warning growl before stalking towards her but she only moved away from him. For a good minute she ran while he chased after her but going around the corner was the mistake she made before she felt the wind rush through her as she looked at his butt and legs that carried her towards the unknown. " I'm not a toy you dirty piece of moron. " She beat on his back but quickly gave up as her body felt weak before muttering under her breath. She still couldn't make out anything till she was thrown onto a bed and even though her body was saying nothing she tried to get out of the bed. " No, heck no." 

He jerked her by her ankles pulling her towards him as she couldn't fathom anything at the moment but her virginity that could be stolen. He hovered over her for a split second as she struggled screaming out at him. His hand went over her mouth as she made contact with his face which was a mistake. His eyes held lust and turned black. Her eyes widened before he pushed his face into the croak of her neck. Leah whimpered as he growled out in a warning before she knew it she had kneed him in the groan moving away and running from him. Leah ran out of the house more like a mansion. Leah made her way back to the school with no problem and saw Jazz on her phone to her ear as Nevaeh was in wolf form sniffing around.

Steven and Aurora were also in wolf form but found my scent before Nevaeh could. Aurora barked at Jazz who looked over and immediately ran at me with a scared grin but then with an evil look which she knew all too well. it scared her obviously before she turned and ran behind some trees before running in wolf form before she knew it she was running behind Jazz and playfully tackling them to the ground. Leah didn't give her a chance as she explained everything before she stated she'd kill her later.

A snarl was heard behind her and jazz it sent something down Leah's spine. A wolf broke out from the shadows knocking Leah to the ground gripping her tightly as his face dugged into her neck breathing deeply. " Leah..." Turning back she cringed and used her legs to try to pry him from her. He only grabbed her neck with his mouth after changing back into human form. She shrieked as he marked her fully. She ran but what was his excuse to do this to her? She knew what he was doing and let out a warning growl before his teeth grazed and then pushed down on the skin of her neck before she let out more of a cry for help. She shook not from the sudden pain but because in a way she liked it but everything else inside her wanted nothing more than to fight him. She didn't realize the black dots as everything went black before she saw the look on his face.

Waking up Leah felt a hand on her face and angry voices screaming at each other, again she threw a pillow across the room before the voices died out. Leah sat up noticing Steven in the corner with Aurora and Jazz. Nevaeh was standing beside the couch she laid on and she could see the distaste and something else in her eyes. " What happened?" She asked as she tried to get up only she felt the pain shoot up and her body wasn't happy. Her eyes went wide with understanding before she turned her attention to her mate. " Y- you marked me?" He nodded with a sad but determined look on his face. That's when she lost it. She screamed jumping up from where she was hitting him over and over. Different voices yelled her name but she ignored them and kept going as he not once tried to stop her.

He suddenly threw her over his shoulder stalking out of the room as she continued pounding on his back. He walked back into his room throwing her onto his bed as she wasn't just freaked out but something else inside her only wanted something to happen. " Please don't. I promise I won't hit you again. I'll be obedient." She only cried out as he sat on the bed before she sat in his lap. She squirmed and tried to get off him but he only held her in place. " Leah stop or so help me." She pouted before he chuckled. 

" I thought you could handle it, I'm sorry for marking you. " She could tell he was sorry but she wasn't even sure. " Leah, do you feel anything, anything at all?' 

" I feel more at ease and sometimes I hear more than just one person talking which is very annoying. No offense, or anything. " 

" Ryan." 

" What?" She asked as he stroked her hair she turned her head wondering if it was supposed to make her feel anything else. 

" It's my name." He cleared his throat before continuing. " I heard what you told your parents about Derek." Her head snapped up when he said his name." 

" He is still alive but he is very busy right now to visit. He is going to be our Beta. I know how you're friendship with him is real and I won't stand in between that, just promise me you won't cheat on me. 

" Um, okay I don't know you so How can I promise something when you could do the same." She looked down playing with her hands as she felt like she just sent a ricky text. " How did you survive on your own?" He buried his face into the other side of her neck making her feel something that she didn't want, not yet. " My parents gave me money before I left, um I kinda picked out from dumpsters when I ran out of money then I came to Chicago and met Mary, and now I'm living with her. Met some friends and now you. " She looked at him blushing before she looked down at her hands. He held me telling me a little about him. He liked ribs, rock music, and running in his wolf. She could tell he was kinda hiding something else too but when their eyes met she couldn't help but blush. 

He looked at the clock above his door and said it was dinner time and although she walked down the hallway she wouldn't let her go. She blushed even more when they walked into the dining room as every eye went to her. We stood for a good second before walking towards the table as he pulled out her chair and then slowly into the table before he sat down on the other side of the table staring right back at her. 

After dinner a couple of people stayed and congratulated her, walking off Ryan walked towards her. " That was lovely." She said before he took her hand and led her back upstairs towards his room. They never went into his room if anything they went to the door closest as Ryan opened the door. A queen-sized bed with two white dressers on either side against the wall. A TV was laid out on the other side of the room as well as a bookcase that held a lot of Fiction, nonfiction, and mystery thriller. The side of the room where she stood held a big bathroom and through there another door that held a closet with clothes that were her size. " This is my room. This is amazing." He chuckled at her reaction beaming at her when she ran and dived into the comfortable sheets."Leah, do you want to stay here or live with Mary? 

that made her look out at the ceiling before he sat on the bed as she turned towards him. " I don't know." 

" When you make up your mind let me know."

" Ryan, why did you kidnap me?" He didn't look at her as she couldn't stop looking at him. She grabbed his hand and slowly he looked at her.

" I didn't want you to reject me. I got scared I freaked out I thought you would run away from me hate me even. She could tell he wanted to hold her but she didn't know why she didn't let him. " I won't reject you I just need time to let everything sink in. " He looked down at her before he lay next to her holding her as he breathed in her scent. 

As the day rolled into weeks Ryan and Leah had known more about each other. In other words, she thought he was a heartless freak and he wasn't he was sweet and nice, in fact She was just getting ready for a date even though he wouldn't tell her where they were going. he let someone help her get ready. She also had a bodyguard and she was ticked about it and threw a tantrum. " For crying out loud would you stop just calm down. Please before I call the Alpha and make him call this off." Angie yelled, She was the only one who was supposed to help me but she ended up grabbing me and shutting me up. The bodyguard who she hadn't heard a name from gave us both a look and made sure we weren't doing anything stupid like the other day. 

Leah freaked out when she thought she saw a spider and accidentally kicked somebody guarded and her mate made her calm down. He sometimes scared me but she was okay. while Angie got an outfit ready she got a quick shower and shaved every part of her; after lotioning her body and then trying on a backless red floral dress that went to her mid-thigh. Angie blow-dried her hair and then straightened her hair. Putting on eyeliner and lipgloss she smiled in satisfaction.

The bodyguard left only to come back with Ryan. She jumped making sure she looked good in the mirror before he stared at her. She could've sworn his eyes popped out of his head. A giggle escaped from her lips while Angie left the room smiling in victory. 

"Is something wrong?" She turned back around staring at her reflection only to see that there wasn't anything wrong. Ryan was behind her in a second flat pushing her hair to one side as hestuffed his face into her neck. A moan was heard but she wasn't so sure. " God Leah, you smell so good. " She could tell he was thinking about something as she saw it in her mind and although her face went a scarlet color he smirked grabbing her around the waist and turning her to face him." 

Come on beautiful." 

She smiled and let him take her hand leading her outside into a truck. Leaving she tried to get him to tell her where they were going but he would as he only chuckled. She groaned  and pouted as he drove for an hour straight." Are we there yet?"  She whined getting sore as she bit her lip trying to think of where he was taking her. " Leah, stop doing that."  He growled pulling over in the middle of nowhere before she felt like this was where he was going to kill her. She didn't start to freak out but inside she panicked as he opened the door smirking as she fixed her dress more nasty thoughts went through her mind because of him. " Ryan stop."  She blinked before looking around their surroundings. " Are you going to kill me? " She laughed. " This is the end of  Leah Grace's life. " Sarcasm was one of her personalities. 

" I wouldn't harm you not like that. " 

" Where are we?" 

"Do you trust me?" 

She didn't even think she just shook her head before the blindfold covered her eyes and her heart quickened. He walked for what seemed like forever even though she was bridal style it was 10 minutes.  He stopped suddenly  putting her down as she nearly fell from being held.  his hand went around her waist and took the blindfold off her as she gapped out. In front of her was a huge water fall and it was beautiful that she thought she fell in love with it. On the left was a blanket and a picnnic  and all around her laid out lights that flickered towards the water fall and pond. as rocks laid around the pond. " Do you like it?"  She smiled throwing her arms around him as he laughed at her reaction. She pulled him to the blanket where the basket was. He pulled out hot wings, ranch and some other things she didn't pay attention too. She licked her lips and immediately dove in for a hot wing before tearing it apart  before looking at her mate who only observed her as her finger went into her mouth as he licked her finger clean.

She rolled her eyes and continued to eat as he stared and ate as well. " I'm enjoying the view." He smirked  as she stared back and then looking at the water fall in front of her. " I can sleep to the sound of that."  She groaned wanting to do anything more than to just jump in. " GO marry it then."  She giggeld looking back at him with a raised eyebrow. She only thought to herself as she put that exact thought into his mind.  " Leah stop thinking please. " Not even a second later he wasn't aggrivated but it made her laugh out loud. " Seriously woman. I don't need to stare at you got it." 

With a devilish smile he got up only to grab ahold of her pulling her up and over his shoulder as her last hot wing fell onto the blanket. " Ryan. Put me down."  She whinned his name before he  walked into the water as he held her right there with him.  " Lets get him back. He deserves it."  Rhonda had a point as she tried to push off him pushing herself underneath the water as she did a back stroke away from him. Breaking through and breathing out Ryan pulled on her with a knowing smile plastered on his face. His face was pricelessbefore she broke free splashing him in the process but instead of wanting to play Ryan pulled her back to him as her arm distinctly went around his shoulders as his face became clearer.

She gulped not wanting to kiss just yet and not just because it lead to other things but because she wasn't ready for that. She knew his intentions and she wasn't nessesarily happy about them. She splashed water in his face as he wasn't aware of the sudden change before a laugh came from her. He became serious giving her a look and he dived right at her before she was pushed underneath the water by his body that almost crushed her. She tried to move but water ran into her mouth as she tried to struggle free from him as his hold on her fastened. Her eyes almost rolled into the back of her head as her and Ryan broke the surface. " Leah. Breath." 

She coughed up feeling weak as she only fell against the ground beneath her. Ryan knew his mistake to late as his face hovered above her. " Leah please answer me. Leah?"  He wasn't trying to yell with unshed tears but he was worried, he could've just killed his only mate. 

After a couple of days  she awoke to a very annoying beeping sound and a door opening. At first she wouldn't open her eyes but then again she didn't want to. She knew she laid in her bed. The doc came in making sure everything was fine as her mater stood to her right hoping she was fine and not just lying. " I don't know how many times I got to tell you but I don't need a  doctor Ryan. "  Ryan sighed mind linking the doctor before he grabbed his bag and walking out of the door. When Leah turned back to him he tried to sit on her bed but Leah was quick to punch him. " You don't even listen to me." 

" Now you're forgiven." Leah said seeing the look on his face which didn't seem as a shock.  He didn't even let her say anything to him after as he pushed back the covers and got into her bed putting her small frame against his holding her. " But I scared you, maybe hurt you. I want to make sure I didn't physically do anything to harm you. Mentally I want you to look at me without  having a single bad thought about me. Emotionaly I don't want to be responsible for the tears. I already like you enough to want to protect you. You should be my queen whether we're in a pack or not." She only looked up at him in shock as she felt lost. He kissed her forehead as one of her legs were laid against his hip as his hand touched her waist.  He breathed in only thinking if he had even said the right thing. He kissed her forehead again holding her tighter. He didn't ever want to let her go.
