It was hard to say goodbye to Michael, but once we were boarding the plane that would take us down to Mexico, my mood improved slightly.

The jet looked fabulous. It was modern and sleek, and I couldn’t help but feel proud of Michael and the way he ran his company.

I took a seat near the back so I could be closer to the flight attendants, leaving the others to socialize toward the front. It was just what I needed, a small nook that was slightly closed off from the rest.
