Seth watched as Sophie licked the fat from her fingers. Her lips glistened in the fire light.


He had to admit, she had quite the appetite. Amusingly, she said “Yum!” and “Mmmmm!” repeatedly as she ate the boar and carrots. Her delighted demeanor filled him with a sort of warm satisfaction. 


Ilaria also reacted to Sophie’s eating in a way that suggested their lines were blurring. When Sophie would rock back, overwhelmed by the deliciousness of the meat, Ilaria’s head moved back with her. Seth noticed Sophie’s eyes even flash purple a few times.


He also liked the meat, and he was very hungry. But Gibraltr just sat stoically beside Ilaria, watching her with the same interest as Seth.
