Chapter 19

Moore's Creek had always been haunted, everyone heard the crazy stories. What they had no idea about, was that, the stories were actually a reality.

At first, it was all bright and sunny as Johnny mutely followed Mr. Roberto.

"Whao I think I'm hitting this off pretty well. Shush Johnny, he might be able to catch a few words, and discover someone is following him" Johnny warned himself.

Johnny dawled along, kept reasonable distance from himself and Mr. Roberto while he followed him.

Roberto didn't even look back, he just kept moving, at a steady pace. Suddenly, the atmosphere changes, and is filled with pure darkness. If Johnny wasn't a vampire, it would have been impossible to follow Mr. Roberto right now.

Johnny focused on Roberto's scent, tracing his steps and moves. As they went, it got darker, up to the extent that Johnny couldn't see his own body. He just used his vampire senses to make his way through the woods.

"No, no. Where the fuck is Roberto headed. It was almost 7am when I started following him, why the hell is it so dark out here? Shit, while we were treasure hunting, we didn't get here, wherever this is" Johnny whispered to himself.

The darkness slightly fades away because of a door in front of Roberto which seemed to be filled with brightness. The light from the closed door, narrowly shined out, causing the darkness to fade partly.

Roberto stops, and looks around, causing Johnny to go into hiding. Roberto whispers a few words, triggering the door to open.

(A door out of nowhere!? Could it....no this is nothing like the door to the deserted, haunted and most coveted place in Moore's creek. This door looks different. I have to go in with him) Johnny said in his mind, waiting for Roberto to pass through the door, so he could get in.

Roberto pauses for a while, and takes a long, deep, breath. He looks around again, and gives out a loud laugh.

"It seems this feast might be better this time" He said, before walking through the door.

As soon as Johnny watched him enter, he wasted no time. Jumping out of his hiding place, he pushed his body forward, getting in through the door.

"Whao!" is all Johnny could utter.

Whatever this place was, it wasn't what Johnny expected.

"This is paradise!" Johnny said, inhaling the fresh air, glancing around in admiration for the beautiful environment around him. It was filled with flowers, and green grasses, with trees whose root looked firm on the ground, like it could never be uprooted. He remembers his quest for answers, and puts an hold to his exclaiming and admiring.

Johnny walked slowly as he observed the whole place. He took note of literally everything he was seeing, even the most little detail. Roberto, however, was no where around him.

"I saw him pass through that door, didn't I? Shit, where the hell is the door. It was erected over there a second ago. If Roberto walked through the same door, but isn't in here. Where the hell is he, and what is this place?" Johnny wondered.

Johnny's vampire mojo was still active, in fact, he felt more powerful in here. He could hear the steady heartbeats of the birds flying around the sky. He could even hear the movement of leaves and tree branches, going back and forth.

"What's that?" Johnny was hearing something else.

It sounded like some people were having a dialogue somewhere in this place. At first, he couldn't educe the direction, but after a while, it became clearer and audible, compelling him to trace where these voices were coming from.

Johnny felt closer, so he didn't hurry. He walked as slow as fuck, taking one step at a time.

"Shit, isn't that Roberto? What the fuck, and who is he talking to. I need to have a closer look"

Johnny spotted a hiding place, behind a large flower, which had openings, on the leaves. He saw everything, and everyone from here.

"Tristin? Shit, isn't that. Fuck, that's the whole team, and Carlos's too! Of course, Roberto just had to be the asshole behind this" Johnny grinded his teeth while watching them.

"Hey Roberto is here. How's it going man?" Tristin asked.

"Your sarcasm isn't going to save y'all from the feast Tristin" Roberto informed.

"I know that, don't I. But it pays to keep a positive mindset right?"

"Read my lips, you frigging cockhole. Y'all are going to be drained off on the feast, which is just in a few days. Maybe you didn't get it. Drained off! And you know what happens when a human has no blood left? Ha ha!" Roberto gave an evil laugh.

"We all know that Roberto. Just don't involve any more students" Carlos pleaded.

Roberto took one look at Carlos, who was sweating profusely, he was scared as fuck. Everyone was, they just got info that the feast would be held in a few days.

"Awwn Carlos. You piece of mortal shit. The rest of Hampton would join y'all in a short while"

(Holy crap! That's what the party is all about. I just knew there was more to it) Johnny deduced.

Roberto looks in another direction, and laughs out loud.

"You can come on out now Johnny Evans" Roberto said, calling out Johnny from hiding.

Johnny froze as he heard Roberto call him out. His body shook, he was filled with pure fear.

He makes no move. Johnny just kept hiding, without moving an inch.

"I spotted you a while ago Johnny, following me. It's a good thing you came here all by yourself before the others, to join the party. Vampires!?" Roberto signaled.

More vampires appeared, and took Johnny, placing him where the others were.

"Johnny, man. What the fuck!" Tristin got pissed by Johnny for embarking on a foolish quest.

"Yeah Johnny, why the hell would you come out here alone!?" Aidan yelled.

"Well, I just couldn't do nothing"

"Yeah right, now we all gon' be drained off" Carlos reminded them.
