Episode 5: (Minus Saga) Cutthroat Dealings & Shenanigans
Dragon Ball – Scene 5.0: Planet Vegeta, Age 732
Last Time On Dragon Ball (Minus):
While King Cold is visiting the planet to announce his retirement, Queen Vegeta (Esharotto) is spending her time in the nursery seeing her children, Prince Vegeta & Mauka, but upon seeing Mauka's Blue Eyes, the queen is surprised, but not in a negative way; more rather she understand Nion's prediction that she starts to cry in happiness, but also sad as she feels she doesn't belong in the future that both Vegeta and Mauka will be. As Mauka opens her eyes again, she gazes at Broly and starts to giggle behind her mask and reaching out to him as Broly reciprocate her by doing the same. This makes the queen really happy, but not Nion as she knows how the king feels about the Son of Paragus' power level as he overshadows the prince's.
Queen Vegeta (Esharotto):
Is this the Son of Paragus? Where is his mother?
Nion:
Unfortunately she passed away. The reason he was born with such a high power level is because his mother was severely injured during a mission, her chances of survival was nonexistent. However…as soon as she found out she was pregnant, she fought long and hard to stay alive for this child to make it in this pod. She succeeded, but it cost her dearly.
Queen Vegeta (Esharotto):
(Saddened)
I'm sad to hear that. Since Mauka seems to like Broly and he seems to feel the same way, I wouldn't mind if they were together and I am sure that my husband will allow it since they are both Elite Class Saiyans.
(Warm Smile)
Who know? They might end up betrothed when they come of age.
Nion doesn't say anything as the king has threatened her if she tells her foster sister and queen on what he plans on doing to Broly, Nion wants to tell her, but she also sees a prosperous future just like Vegeta and Mauka. Sometime later that week as Bardock is getting ready for the day to fight against a new set of Saiyans, he starts to look around for Tora, but can't seem to find him. However he seems to notice of being followed by someone he doesn't recognizes that he leads him to an alley to corner his pursuer as he snap vanishes behind him.
Bardock:
You must have a death wish trying to sneak up on me like that. Who are you? Are you here to fight me?
The Saiyan says nothing, starts to fight Bardock and are evenly match, but Bardock is more stronger than him as he grabs the Saiyan by the collar and starts to question him.
Bardock:
I'll ask again – Who are you?
Tora:
(Weak Chuckle, Hurt)
It's me…Bardock…It's Tora…
Bardock:
(Surprised)
TORA!? Did you get your growth spurt?
Tora:
(Smiling, Hurt)
Yeah…I was always a late bloomer. I also got a boost to my Power Level so I thought I could match you. Looks like I overestimated myself.
Bardock:
(Amused, Hiding Amusement Behind Grumpy Attitude)
Tut! Looks like you got crazier too.
Tora:
(Laughing)
Hanging around you, anyone can go crazy.
Upon seeing this other part in their relationship, not only Goku and Krillin are laughing, but all of Goku's Friends and Rivals as they all feel the same way by hanging around Goku that even Vegeta is secretly laughing at the situation as Bardock's Team join in the laughter as well as Gine and Surprisingly Queen Vegeta. A few months later upon arriving from a mission, Fasha encounters Tora and at first is taken aback at him being a very strong looking Saiyan that she wants to fight him to see his power.
Tora:
Are you Fasha by any chance?
Fasha:
(Sneering)
Whose askin'?
Tora:
Name's Tora and I'm here on behalf of the Royal Family. We got word you are the strongest Female Saiyan in all of the Planet. We would like you to join our squad by decree of both the King and Queen.
Fasha:
Who recommended me?
Tora:
Someone in the Royal Family. No one knows who.
Fasha:
(Smiling)
No, I won't join…
Tora:
Too Ba—
Fasha:
I won't join unless you pay for my tab at my Stomping Grounds. I went a little over my limit and have been doin' missions like crazy to pay it off. Since you are working with the Elites, I bet you can pay it off. If you can't, I'm not joining ya.
Tora:
(Thinking)
This woman is too wild, but if the Royal Family highly recommends her, Bardock can't deny them. I just hope her tab isn't too high.
When Tora went with Fasha to the Saiyan Stomping Grounds, he is in complete shock that her tab had 7 digits as most of her tab is comprised of booze, but also contain repair bills as she would pick fights and ends up destroying a large part of the bar. Upon seeing the bill, Tora looks at Fasha as she smugly sneers at him as he thinks to himself that Fasha will be trouble and already feels sorry for whoever takes her as a bride. Instead of Fasha returning to her home, she heads to Gine's place as she has been eating there because of her tab. Upon arriving, Gine already had a lot of food ready as Fasha sees that Gine is in such high spirits that she starts to sing joyfully that Fasha hasn't seen her like this in years as she thinks Gine is about to throw a party.
Fasha:
Oi! Gine, I'm home!
Gine:
(Blushing, Startle)
Oh! Fasha! How long you've been there!?
Fasha:
(Laughing)
Seeing you dancin' and singin'. Somethin' good must've happened to ya. What was that?
Gine:
(Excited)
A member of the royal family came here and I made it! I'm being part of a new unit comprised of Low Class Saiyans doing mission only meant for Mid to Elite Class Saiyans!
Fasha:
Really? You too? Let me guess – Team Bardock?
Gine:
How did you know?
Fasha:
(Amused Yet Happy Smile)
That bitch Esharotto…she really kept her promise to us.
Gine:
(Amused Yet Happy Smile)
You call her that, but I know how much you two get along.
Fasha:

Gine:
Let's just say Nion and me always kept tabs on you, afraid that she'd end up killing you if you both went overboard.
Fasha:
You two were worried for nothing. Me and that Silver Spoon Chimp are not that much in odds. But…

…I wouldn't mind going back to Sax-Sensei's place and living there with him.
Gine:

After the Arcosians asked us to take over worlds, I was blissfully happy not knowing that Namekians were asexual. How can they have fun with bodies like that? Where's the cardinal desire to spar with the opposite sex in order to create the perfect warrior!? This is depressing.
Gine:
You might meet someone in the squad we'll be in.
Fasha:
I met the Sub-Captain, he's a real looker and real strong, but I can tell he doesn't like my way of life since I had him pay my tab…and repair debt. So screw him, I'll look elsewhere. I also seen the other members – A Bald Braindead Brute, A Fat Bastard, A Muscular Guy As Small As You And A Scrawny Wimp. But the Captain…
(Evil Smile)

Gine:
(Furious, Blushing)

(Shocked)

(Surprised, Covers Mouth In Fright)
I'm sorry, Fasha! I don't know what came over me!
Fasha:
(Laughs Out Loud)
Finally I got a rise out of you! I know you had his eyes on him for years. I still remember that you got riled up when I told you he beat me in a fight when we first met. Looks like we both know his name now. I also remembered that I'd help you get together with him. Me gunning for the guy knowing you are after him ain't my style.
Gine:
(Smiling)
Thanks, Fasha.
Fasha:
But that's only for you. If I see someone that I like, I will fight tooth and nail to get him.
Gine:
You should after all, We Are Saiyans.
Fasha:
Then lets eat as Saiyans! I'm starving!
As they eat the food Gine cooked, they discuss on how to make Bardock notice her as Fasha tell her to follow her advice if he's anything like the Saiyans she has met, Gine will have Bardock eating out of her hand like a trained little monkey.
Dragon Ball – Scene 5.1: Planet Frieza 79
After being summoned by Frieza, the new head of the Heeters, Elec is being accompanied by his siblings, Oil, Macki and Gas as they kneel before Frieza who is in his First Form sitting in his pod which he will be seen until Namek when he will look for the Dragon Balls in Age 762. Zarbon and Dodoria are by his side as they glare at them as they find them beneath Frieza, but Dreamscape Zarbon seems to despise Macki for being a Jezebel as she is a deceptive and manipulative girl that if he could, he would kill her then and there, but he doesn't want to incur Frieza's wrath.
Frieza:
Welcome, Elec-San. I'm the New Emperor, Frieza after succeeding my father. I heard you succeeded your father as the leader of the Heeters as well.
Elec:
Yes, well. He was at that age and I managed to convince him that he needed a little rest and relaxation. He really needed the retirement as all of this was already getting him stressed.
Frieza:
(Notices Elec's Insincerity, Evil Smile)
I see. Father was in the same situation, but it was him who chose to retire, neither me or my brother had to tell him anything. But I can tell you really care for your family, I can respect that. But I digress. I summoned you here to see if we should conduct business just like our fathers did before us or do you wish to renegotiate the terms they made long ago?
Elec:
Forgive me if I overstep by asking this but we would like a 10% increase on our end of the deal. If you find that unappealing, then the old contract our fathers made is fine as well.
Frieza:
Hoo! A 10% increase? That seems reasonable since the empire has grown ever since I came to power. Very well, you will get the 10% increase, no more than that I'm afraid. But the only thing I can offer is a nice feast for you coming all this way.
Elec:
Thank you for your kindness, Frieza-Sama.
As Elec and his siblings head to eat, Zarbon and Dodoria glare at them as they leave and once they are gone, Frieza's smile turns into an annoyed glare as he finds Elec as a despicable opportunist that has seeded a deep distrust towards him. On the way Elec spoke, Frieza easily deduced that that Elec actually murdered his father instead of believing the silver spun story that Elec told him. Frieza finds Elec a filthy cur for murdering his own father as Frieza, even though he has a rivalry with his brother, Cooler, he would never kill him or his father as Frieza believes Family, even if they are a nuisance, would never go as far as to kill them like Elec has.
Dragon Ball – Scene 5.2: Planet Vegeta
As Bardock arrives, he sees his men were ready, but the new members, Gine and Fasha are still in the changing room as they are getting ready for the mission. Fasha and Gine are wearing the same armor, but different colors as Gine is using a dark green suit under her armor in contrast to Fasha's pink suit, she also gives Gine one of her earrings in order to impress Bardock and since the Scouter goes on their left ear, Gine places it on her right ear. Bardock is annoyed by them taking so long as they are going to be late to the rendezvous point for their mission. Once they arrive, Gine is excited to see Bardock again after so many years, but he is unimpressed as they head out for their mission. This makes Gine sad and pisses Fasha off as she promises Gine that he will fall for her or she will rip his left arm off (Just like the Androids did to Future Gohan). However, while in his pod during the space travel, Gine is in his thoughts as he is flustered and annoyed that he can't get her out of his mind. Unlike Goku who has a short term memory when it comes to specific moments and people, Bardock's mind is like a steel trap as he clearly remembers Gine and hasn't forgotten about her. Upon arriving at their targeted planet, Bardock behaves like a leader and ignoring Gine every chance he gets and only focuses on the mission which saddens her even more and infuriates Fasha far more, but their mission right now is more important than their situation. Gine decides to do her best to catch his attention, which worries Fasha as Gine hasn't been training since they left Sax's teachings to stop the war.
Every single time Gine tries to impress Bardock, it would force him to save her which annoys him to no end, but deep down this feels really nice and nostalgic to him. Gine vows to do better as Fasha thinks to herself: "Please Stop! You'll Die Before Your First Born! I Beg Of You! Just Wait Until We're Back Home For You To Try And Woo Him!". As the mission progresses, things gets crazier as Gine keeps pulling crazy stunts similar to her future grandchild Gohan as she thinks that the Ginyu Force's Poses are really cool as she strikes the same pose as Jeice before challenging a large hungry-looking dinosaur only for it to beat her down and forcing Bardock to save her yet again, only this time he receives a scar on his left cheek in the process. Bardock manages to beat it down and is about to kill it with a Riot Javelin, but he is stopped by Fasha as the Dino happens to be a mother. Fasha might be a ruthless and skillful fighter, but she has a maternal side as she doesn't like seeing anyone who isn't their target, leave orphans behind. This infuriates Bardock to no end that he wants to slap Gine for her stupidity, but instead he heads back to his pod to wait for the Frieza Force to arrive to collect the conquered planet. Gine is devastated as Fasha helps her back to her own pod. Tora sees this and is disappointed in Bardock as he goes to talk to him. As Tora confronts Bardock, neither of them notices that both Gine and Fasha are there spying on them.
Tora:
Didn't you go overboard with her, Bardock?
Bardock:
She's the one that went overboard! If it wasn't an order from the Royal Family, I would have never asked her to be here!

(Furious, Thinking)

I remembered when we were young, you would always follow her around and when she was going to get killed, you saved her and gave her that food.
Bardock:
THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T WANT HER HERE!!! She was never meant to be a warrior because she doesn't want to fight! She would have been dead if I didn't save her for the 33rd time!

Bardock:
(Annoyed Sigh)
What I'm about to tell you, you can't tell anyone, understand?
Tora:

Bardock:
Did I ever tell you that I had an older sister?
Tora:
You are an only child, Bardock.
Bardock:
Don't you remember this weird Saiyan Girl with Golden Eyes that lived nearby? She was always kind and loving to every Saiyan Child no matter what?
Tora:
Oh, right. I think her name was Mauka.
Bardock:
Yes. She would claim that an angel came to her in order to teach the young of a Saiyan God coming to this world and teach them to prepare for his coming. Many called her insane, but every single time she talks…her eyes would glow. She loved every child there, but she would spend all of her time with that girl, Gine. I always wondered why she would hang around her. I would look at them at a distance and see why is that. I…I could see why. One day, Gine arrived at Mauka's home with cuts and bruises that she started to worry for her. She even cried…That made me mad that I had to hunt down who made them cry. I avenged them for 20 times until Mauka was killed and Gine disappeared from life until now.
Tora:
20 times? You mean you saved her 13 times today? You really kept count?
Bardock:
You think I can ever forget that girl? Mauka was always worried for Gine. I really don't want her to be sad if Gine sees her before she lived a full life. Mauka always was there for me and Gine. It's only fair I returned the favor.
Tora:
You should tell her. She has a right to know.
Bardock:
As soon as we get back, I will. I just hope she just quit being a warrior. This life never suited her. Mauka would agree.
After hearing Bardock's story, Gine starts to cry as she now knows that Bardock has always been there for her. Meanwhile in the spectator's seats, everyone glares at Luminescence as they know that Golden Eyes are a mark of those who either made a pact with her or is secretly Luminescence herself. As she notices the glares, she can't help but to laugh maniacally.
Luminescence:
Okay, Okay! It was me! I manipulated details of what happened. Want to see it? It all happened that very same year when Gine, Fasha and Esharotto went to visit Sax. Let me show it to you. After that small detail, we'll see how Saiyan Babies are made when Bardock and Gine start sparring in bed.
Everyone:
(Furious)
HEY-HEY!!! THERE ARE CHILDREN HERE!!!
And with a snap of her fingers, Luminescence and reverse the clock to show how she changed history…
Dragon Ball – Scene 5.3: Planet Vegeta, Age 727
After losing to his father, Bardock is angry that he wants to smash everything around him, but he calms down after he hears someone nearby humming a strange tune which so happens to be Claire's Lullaby from The Legend of Dragoon (Which is in Reality a Hummed Version of Shana's Theme BTW) that all of Bardock's anger he had just faded away as he approaches who is singing it and he sees that is a Teenage Saiyan Girl. Bardock is taken aback by her beauty, but what caught his attention are her golden eyes which is extremely rare to see among Saiyans. There are Saiyans with different colored eyes like Fasha, but they are all far in-between and only a handful actually exists. This is in actuality Luminescence herself disguised as a Saiyan as her fur clothing is as black as the night as she is mirroring Goku's First Meeting With Bulma but with her own unique twist.
Bardock:
Who are you?
Mauka (Luminescence):
(Fake Outrage)
WHO AM I? WHO AM I!? TUT!
(Singing)
Who's The Most Phenomenal, Extraordinary Fellow!?
(Listening, Expecting A Chorus, Annoyed)
It never fails! Whenever I want a chorus to say my name, this happens. This is quite sad. This is where they should show up and scream "YOU!!! MAUKA THE SAIYAN!!!"
Bardock:
You are one weird girl.
Mauka (Luminescence):
(Smiling)
And you are one cool kid. My name is if you didn't hear just now is Mauka and since I'm older than you, you can call me Onee-Sama.
Bardock:
(Annoyed)

Mauka (Luminescence):
(Starts Humming Lullaby)
Bardock:
(Curious, Enticed)

Mauka (Luminescence):
(Smiling)
It's a lullaby I heard long ago from a story involving a Moon Child, who is said to be a holy being that will bless the world and create a utopia by gathering the three Moon Objects. However, the Moon That Never Set also signifies the coming of the Black Monster, who seeks to kill the Moon Child due to its hatred and kills it every time it is born.
Bardock:
A Moon That Never Set? That's impossible. We'd be Ozarus all the time.
Mauka (Luminescence):
I did say it's a story. It's not grounded in reality…Although I heard there is a Planet out there that does have a Moon That Never Set, but it's not related to this story. But it is said if the moon falls on the planet or disappears, the end of times will be coming to said planet.
(Thinking)
It might be a Super Dragon Ball hovering on the planet's orbit, but who knows, I certainly don't. But it's a WAY too soon to tell him about that though.
Bardock:
What's with your eyes? I never met a Saiyan with eyes like yours.
Mauka (Luminescence):
This? An angel came to me and told me that a Saiyan God is coming and asked me to spread the word. These eyes will help me find him.
Bardock:
A Saiyan God? Yeah, right.
Mauka (Luminescence):
I think you might be the one I'm looking for?
Bardock:
Me? A God? Get real!
Mauka (Luminescence):
You are right. You don't have the spunk and regal standing to be a god.
Bardock:
(Annoyed)

Mauka (Luminescence):
But Gine-Chan, now she has the potential to be one.
Bardock:

Mauka (Luminescence):
My little sister! Actually, she my adopted sister. Her parents died in the war, so I'm looking after her. She's such an angel…a real rarity. A Saiyan that doesn't like to fight. I just can't believe it.
Bardock:
A Saiyan that doesn't like to fight? There's no such thing!
Mauka (Luminescence):
Hang around and you'll see it for yourself.
Bardock decided to stick around to meet Gine, but as soon as she returned, Bardock hid in order not to startle her and as soon as he lays his eyes on her, it was love at first sight as Gine looked like no other Saiyan he has ever seen and that smile of hers when she's with Mauka (Luminescence) actually entices him as Luminescence deviously smiles at him as she knows he's in awe on Gine. Bardock has never met a Saiyan as innocent as Gine as he is seeing someone that is a beautiful flower in the middle of a wasteland as his father would say about his mother; Bardock always wondered what he meant by that as it sounded as corny as hell, but seeing Gine he finally understand what he means. After Gine goes to sleep, Luminescence approaches Bardock and starts to tease him just like Bulma would tease everyone around her which really annoys Bardock that he decides to leave, but she stops him by asking him if he wants to see Gine up close since he only saw her at a distance. He didn't want to, but since she's offering, he accepts. As soon as Bardock sees Gine's face up close, he's blushing as he never thought he would feel this way for anyone that he leaves without saying a word. Ever since then, Bardock would secretly visit Mauka (Luminescence) and follows Gine, making sure no one knew; but as soon as he saw someone bullying her, he would make them regret it as he would beat them up. One day, "Tragedy" struck as Mauka (Luminescence) is "killed" by Saiyan Elites for spreading lies of the coming of a Saiyan God. Gine and the other Saiyan Children that loved her mourn her "Death", that Bardock is more worried for Gine as he believes she will loose the will to live and he was right as he had to rescue her and give her a bag of dry meat. Everyone are annoyed that Luminescence made such a change, but they will let it slide since it was a cute intervention on her part.
Dragon Ball – Scene 5.4: Planet Vegeta, Age 732
Upon returning from the mission, Tora convinces everyone on the team to head to the Stomping Grounds for a job well done on the mission in order to celebrate with an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, meanwhile Fasha who is usually down for sometime at the stomping grounds, is more interested in helping Gine, but Tora forcibly grabs her arm and takes her with them. When they get far enough, Fasha punches him and tries to return to Gine, however she notices Bardock isn't around, so she rushes to her only to be stopped by Tora, but before they end up at each other's throats, they notice Bardock talking to Gine as they hide and eavesdrop on them. Bardock tells her everything about the Saiyan that raised her, Mauka (Luminescence) and how she introduced them indirectly and how he has been looking after them since then. If he was stronger, he would have saved and protected Mauka (Luminescence) from her death, but he wasn't. Gine comforts him by telling him that saving her foster sister wasn't meant to be, but Gine is glad that they are together. Bardock and Gine embrace as he promises to protect her more from now on, but in exchange, she needs to leave the army as he convinces her that this is not her way of life. She agrees and resigns months later as soon as it is confirmed that she is expecting her first child, Raditz which Bardock named, Gine will have to wait for her next child to named by her. Raditz is born early Age 733 and as Bardock arrives home, he sees Gine humming a familiar tune that she learned from Luminescence which brings a smile to his face.
Meanwhile the following events takes place that year: March 20: Yamcha is born. May 8: Furry is sworn in as the new King of Earth and his son, Bristle starts elementary school. August 18: Bulma is born. Tien Shinhan is born. Chapu is born. Tsukutsun Tsun is born. However…Queen Vegeta (Esharotto) is in sorrow and anger as she found out that her husband and king banished Broly to an undisclosed planet and refuses to tell her, nevertheless Frieza managed to hear that a Saiyan Girl named Mauka was spreading stories of the coming of a Saiyan God in the future. This frightened them both as Mauka is an extremely rare name among them that they believe that Frieza will kill their daughter if Frieza meets her. Queen Vegeta, desperate to keep her daughter safe, tells her husband about Sax, but making sure to omit her connection to the Ancient Namekian. Hating this option, the king has no choice but to head to the Badlands and meet with the alien. Upon arriving there with a small group of elites, Nion and the infant Mauka, King Vegeta III demands that Sax shows himself, the Namekian instantly defeats all of the elites surrounding them without killing them, leaving The King, Queen, Princess and Nion on their own. Nion and the Queen are acting as they are frightened, but in reality they are calm as the wind, meanwhile the king is furious seeing this as Sax sneaks up behind him.
Sax:
You are trespassing on my territory. I suggest you leave or the Saiyans will be looking for a new king.
King Vegeta:
(Furious, Remaining Calm)
I did not come here to fight, I came here to request a favor of you.
Sax:
A favor?
(Discreetly Looks At Nion & Esharotto)
What favor?
King Vegeta:
Have you ever heard of a Saiyan Girl spreading lies about a Saiyan God coming to this world?
Sax:
A Saiyan with Golden Eyes same as mine? But we never met and I doubt we are connected. I cannot confirm anything about her since she was killed. What about her you want to know? For I have nothing.
King Vegeta:
Her name was Mauka and it seems that name caught my queen's attention that she named our daughter after her.
Sax:
I fail to see why that matters.
King Vegeta:
Have you heard of King Cold's Son, Frieza?
Sax:
The New Emperor? Yes. What about him?
King Vegeta:
He found out about this Saiyan Girl and her nonsense and is looking for her. I'm afraid that Frieza will assume that my daughter and that wretch are one and the same. So I would like you to keep her safe until Frieza finds out that story is nothing but a delusion.
Sax:
The Legend of the Saiyan God is not a delusion for I have personally met him.
King Vegeta:
Enough with this nonsense! The only legend that is True is the Super Saiyan Legend.
Sax:
The Super Saiyan Legend would not exist without the Saiyan God Legend.
King Vegeta:
Enough! I'm not here to debate that! I am here to demand you protect my daughter!
Sax:
(Looks At Mauka)

Mauka (Kid):
(Terrified)

Sax:
Very well. I assume that she's not the only one you will leave under my care.
King Vegeta:
Nion is her caretaker, she will stay here with you as well.
Sax:
No, they won't. If you want them to be safe from Frieza, they need to be off-world and in a location he will never dare to go to or be the last place he'll look.
Queen Vegeta (Esharotto):
If it will keep her safe, I don't care. Please…keep her away and hide her from Frieza.
Sax nods to her as she becomes too emotional that she hugs and kisses her daughter. King Vegeta looks at Mauka sternly, but pats her head gently and tells her to grow strong. As they leave, Mauka starts to cry, but Nion console her by telling her the truth about Sax as his eyes has the same shine as her. Sax along with Nion and Kid Mauka arrives at the gates of the capital of Brench where they are greeted in a friendly manner, but as soon as they see the Saiyans, they become a little worried on how this will turn out. Upon arriving at the throne room, they meet with Cooler, his new team to compete with the Ginyu Force, the Armored Squadron: Salza, Dore & Neiz, and his secretary, Bonyu who has decided to no longer be a warrior.
