CHAPTER 64

  Sabrina's POV

  I somberly went inside Damian's room. Thoughts of why we had to arrive at this situation and why someone had to be locked up crossed my mind, but I also reasoned that now that they were gone, I would be safe. Because of a minor circumstance, I don't want to make Damian's troubles worse or be a burden to anyone. The difficulties Damian's family is dealing with are beyond my comprehension.

  "Are you okay?"

  I cast my gaze on Damian. Adjusting his polo shirt, he had just entered the space. He observed me from his seat next to mine.

  "I don't understand anymore, Damian. I need to talk to my grandmother about the fact that she despises me because I don't want her to be upset or harbor resentment."

  "I don't understand why you're afraid, Sabrina. Is there anything to be afraid of?" he posed a serious question. "But didn't you think that if I wasn't there earlier, what might have happened to you?
