Dear Abba

Thanksgiving Day

RIP Grandma

12/25

Dear Abba,

Life has a way of being a pain.

Some people call it growing pains.

I call it existing.

Never be something that you are not because you'll regret it.

Thank Gooddddness that you are there with me and that you are in the business of healing because after having to exist in this world, you think we'd (us humans) be used to it by now.

Thank you for the strength you gave me to want to live another day. Family is important, and I want a thanksgiving of freedom and love, and compassion. Abba, you know my heart and the changes in my family.

The cousins.

The aunts.

Cover them and continue to pour your strength into us as her birthday approaches me.

Give me the strength to visit her grave.

"Mom?"

"Yes?"

"Grandma's birthday is coming up...I want to visit her grave."

"You'll have to go on your own. I'm not ready."

"How will I find her?"
