Chapter Twenty Three

Sarah laughed as her mother told a story about their childhood. Beside her, Jonah found it most opportune to add a rather absurd point that increased humor to the story. As laughter rang out through the banquet hall where the reception was being held Sarah couldn't help but feel happiness flood her heart. All the people she loved most in the world were in that banquet hall, there to wish her the best, to celebrate the joy of her wedding. It was really an extraordinary moment for both her and her husband. Looking at the man in question, she felt her smile widen and love fill her heart at the mere sight of him. She was finally his and he was hers.

In the past she would have most definitely shuddered in revulsion at the thought of becoming Jonah's bride but now just the thought of spending the rest of her life with him brought butterflies to her stomach and a goofy smile to her face.
